'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds Sun. Evening to Monday Wee Hours 8/20

Eric is now a marked man. I'll explain more about that later in this report. Alas, there are more important happenings from that Big Brother House of Revolting Rabbits:

• Jameka advised Amber to make a deal with Daniele to only not put her on the block if she wins HOH.
• Jen is pushing for anyone to put up Daniele and Dick next time -- one must go, she says.
• While Jen wondered about the replacement nominee if the POV saves either Amber or Jameka, Eric told her not to worry. But then he said you never really know because Daniele and Dick lie all the time.
• Eric reported back to Dick his talk with Jen.
• Amber went to Daniele and proposed a deal -- she once again swore on her daughter's life (didn't she learn her lesson the first time?) that she wouldn't put Daniele on the block if she got HOH, but wants her to take her off the block this week.
• Sigh.
• Since Daniele's target this time has always been Jen in a backdoor, she agreed to Amber's deal although it was just icing on the cake.
• Sigh.
• Amber promised to tell no one, not even Jameka.
• There was a party for Daniele's birthday, but those on slop couldn't have the birthday cupcakes. She received nothing from Kris, not a surprise.
• She did get a letter which made her very somber, but not sure who it was from.
• Dick messed up her age by referring to it as a "landmark" birthday and Jen jumped on it. (She just turned 21, but has told everyone that she was turning 22.)
• Daniele got in one of her pouty moods and retired to the HOH looking like she wanted to cry ... again.
• Zach played chess with himself after Daniele ignored him ringing her doorbell.
• Amber told Evel Dick that her boss told her "not to embarrass" him while she's on the show. Um.
• Eric and Jessica talked -- he's not worried about going on the block this week, he thinks they're both safe. He thinks Amber will try to make a deal with Daniele, but it will be Jameka coming down from the block. (Not so astute, Mr. America's Player!)
• Amber told Jameka that Daniele was smart -- knowing she'd come down and her real target would go up. Jameka pointed out that if Zach won POV, the noms would have remained the same. "Oh. I was her back-up target."
• She didn't cry, but looked like she wanted to.
• Daniele told Eric that the DR was pushing for her not to use the POV. Jen even said she was asked who the replacement nominee would be.
• They played a Spin the Beer Can game with questions, then quarters when BB gave them more beer.
  
• At midnight, they celebrated Daniele's birthday again. (BB honored it Sunday because nothing else goes on.)
• Evel Dick was happy that Daniele seemed to be having fun.
• Eric wore Jen's bikini while Zach wore the Jenitard. Fun, fun, fun!
• Zach told Eric that if he makes the final two, he can win against Dick, but not against Daniele.
• Amber proceeded to tell Jameka all about her deal with Daniele. It's a good thing she didn't swear not to tell on her daughter's life when she promised Daniele she wouldn't tell anyone, not even Jameka.
• Daniele told Zach that Eric was a smart player when Zach told her he doesn't respect him in the game. He says Eric is like an encyclopedia, but doesn't apply the knowledge.
• Everyone thinks it's odd that Eric hasn't been chosen to play for POV yet.
• It looks like Eric got his Woobie from the DR -- he had something in his clothes and furtively hid it in the bedroom.
• Jen and Jessica talk Eric into letting them paint him with their waterpaint kit. Everyone gets into the act. When it's all done, he puts on Dustin's crown and all have a hoot.
• Zach told Daniele that he really wants HOH. She told him to win it, then.
• He also mentioned that no one goes to her HOH room unlike when Jessica was HOH. Daniele likes the privacy.
• There we end the overnight hours, with Eric painted with sayings such as "Kail, Marry Me! and "I heart Kansas" and "I heart Zach" as well as purely decorative paint.
• Daniele is talking to Dick about what to say when putting Jen on the block. She's sure she doesn't have Jen's jury vote no matter what.
• Daniele is having second thoughts because she told Jen that she had her back until the end. Dick asked her why she said such things. Daniele still wants to put Jen up, she just doesn't know how to go about dealing with Jen for the week.
• Eric gave Jessica the Woobie, so much for fun with that!
  

'Big Brother 8' - Aug. 19 Show Live-Blogged from the East Coast

So far we're still in Recap City.

Amber is crying. Oh, she got played, y'know. She really shouldn't let her spare tire hang out with its tattoos. Not a good fashion statement and she's not really fat. Ick. Amber says she knew Mini-Mad had six cards, but when she heard seven she agreed because it's her lucky number. @@

Eric and Jessica are happy, thinking they made the right move at the right time. Dick and Daniele are beside themselves with glee, espeically Dick. He wants her to put up Jameka and Amber, but she wants to talk to people.

Jessica tries to make amends with Jameka because she wants to keep her on her side. Jameka is worried that Eric is in on other side deals, but Jessica tells her she trusts him.

It's time for the HOH room. Now, there's a difference between Dick and Daniele versus Jen. Horrible pictures make them smile not cry! Zach mentions there are no pictures of her boyfriend. However, there is a letter from Nick. Eric says the big Nick "letter" was as if it had been created by a thirteen-year-old girl. Daniele is excited.

Daniele talks to Amber and said it was Dustin's own fault with the way he treated people. Amber told her she has to do what's best for her. Daniele told her that she hasn't made up her mind yet. Daniele tells us that she's there for Amber on a personal level, but strategically it's different.

Amber forgets what various words mean. It's very odd. "What does 'outed' mean?" Although this segment makes Amber look dumber than she actually is, it's kind of funny. I have to say it's not something which constantly happens on the feeds -- they had to gather that for a while.

Eric is talking to Amber, told her it wasn't planned that Dustin would go. He tells her he was more worried about himself in the game. Eric tells her, "I've always (pause, grimace) cared about you."

Beer pong time. And, it's to the wagers! Eric has to wear booty shorts, size small. Jessica and Eric had to swap clothes, thus the Eric in Jessica's dress bit.

Jamkea talks to Evel Dick. She wonders how he was able to stay when they thought it was a sure thing. Dick told her and Amber that of him and Daniele, he had to go. He said if he could pick anyone to be up against, it would have been Dustin.

Amber is sure that Eric made a deal with Dick and Daniele, with Jen?

Food comp time -- it's togas! Zach thinks he looks great. It's a beer pong done giant-sized. Two teams of four -- Red is Eric, Dick, Jessic and Zach. Blue is Amber, Jen, Jameka, Daniele. Dick thinks the Blue Team has to go on slop to weaken them -- with Daniele being HOH, she will eat no matter what.

Both teams got feast balls in. Jen is on slop no matter what, so she's a bit half-hearted in the game. After a good start for Blue, the teams end up tied near the end, both with one barrel left. Eric's OPNLY good shot finished the game. Red wins, Blue is on slop. Since both teams got the feast barrel, there will be a feast for all one day.

They return inside to a smaller table. It reminds Daniele that she stuck with people she doesn't like.

Eric and Jessica flirt and mention Julie's hint about a romance/shomance. Eric is actually blushing as Jessica and Dick tease him.

Jen is talking to Daniele. She's worried that she'll be put on the block. Daniele tells us that she doesn't trust Jen.

It's America's Player -- Which HG should Eric get nominated? Amber -- he's very happy. So, he goes to talk to Evel and Daniele to push for an Amber eviction. Dick agrees, but Daniele tells us she doesn't really trust Eric.

America's Player -- To whom should Eric give his childhood woobie (stuffed animal)? I say Zach just for giggles and snorts. Or, maybe Dick.

Nominations today -- Amber is nervous that she'll go up on the block because she gets along with everyone and Daniele would lose in the final two with her. Jen and Jameka are also worried. Daniele wants to be sure of what she's doing. Eric thinks he wants to feel quite confident that he's safe. Daniele says some people have been doing nothing and don't deserve to win the game.

Ceremony -- one of the hardest decisions, strategic, not personal. Key order -- Jessica (didn't take it personally last week), Jen, Dick, Zach, Eric.

Amber, since day one you and Jameka get along with everyone. I don't want to be with you in the final two. Fight for the power of veto. Fairly short and sweet. Jameka feels it's all ordained. Amber said God told her she would win POV tomorrow and will be in the final two.

Daniele tells us Jen is the real target.

'Big Brother 8' Live Feeds Non-News Sunday 8/19

This is about it. They slept into the afternoon although Zach and Jen were up before noon. They've eaten, they've sunned. There has been some small talk, some speculation about the trip(s) won by Daniele and Amber in the POV comp.

But, nothing which really deserves an entry!

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds Through the Overnight into Sunday Morning 8/19

Is the relationship developing into a serious romance and not just a showmance? No, it's not a hugging, kissing, crazy monkey sex sort of relationship. Eric and Jessica seem to be getting closer and closer, albeit not physically.

As I type this, they're still up talking about their impending marriage -- they'll be married for 80 years, mind you. He'll live to be 107! I personally can't see these two walking down the aisle, but I think a close friendship at the very least will be there for years to come. In a way, it's a bit refreshing, although a bit schmaltzy, in a game which has been so nasty this year.

Here are the late night happenings into the dawn from that Big Brother House of Best Friends and Worst Enemies:

• At one point Daniele said that Jen complains about everything. Evel Dick and Zach just froze in place and stared. (Pot - kettle - black)
• The HG joked about getting CBS to pay for Jessica and Eric's wedding and doing a spin-off show like Rob and Amber.
• Amber thinks Jessica is fake because she knows she doesn't like Evel Dick, but is being nice to him. She's also mad that Jessica gave the go-ahead for Zach to vote Dustin out.
• Amber thinks Jameka is lucky and safe due to not being able to compete for HOH. She's not sure if God wants her to make a deal with Daniele.
• Amber thinks that Dick is smart, but he's scared of Daniele getting mad at him and together they're "brutal."
• Jameka thinks she'll have white friends once she gets home.
• Amber still wants to be an inspirational speaker and asked Jameka if the DR said anything to her about it. (I can see her now ... "I live in a trailer by the river...!")
• Amber also thinks that she'll have folks sponsor her nursing education now. @@
• Amber loves Dustin, if you didn't know.
• Zach says Jen is annoying him while Jen thinks she's been nice to everyone except Daniele.
• Zach seems to be pushing for a Jen nomination almost every time he talks to Dick or Daniele.
• Daniele told Dick that she's tired of his personal habits, all the people in the house, and his trying to parent her. He said he'd give her her space and just left the HOH room.
  
• Dick had an impromptu "Dick Show" alone with the cameras saying he didn't know what to do, Daniele complains about everything, she's never happy no matter what and he told her brother Vincent he misses him because Daniele is being a real pain.
• Eric told Jameka that Zach told him he threw the veto for Dick last week -- he surely threw it for someone, I say! I'm bad with strange foods, but he didn't even try!
• It appears that Jameka and Zach have a "date" planned this week. Since Jameka thinks Zach is the sneakiest player in the house, I'm sure she's planning on fact gathering.
• Jameka doesn't know whether to approach Daniele or not (about the votes this week). She doesn't think she's a threat in the game. (Don't question divine intervention!)
• Jameka told Dick she knows he has an alliance with Eric. It's all good, y'know.
• Jameka told Eric she thinks Daniele will put him on the block. He told her he wouldn't cut a deal with her. (Like he needs to! He's safe for this week, at least.)
• After everyone else headed to bed, Jessica and Eric stayed up talking about just about everything and anything. About the only interesting game talk I got out of their schmaltzy talk is that Eric likes only Jessica and Jameka in the house and can see only being friends with those two after the season ends. Jameka, eh? Interesting. She doesn't seem to share the feeling from what I've seen.
  

'Big Brother 8' - Saturday 8/18 Live Feeds Report

Will Divine Intervention save Amber? Or will it be Jameka? Will it mean God loves one more than the other?

I'm not going to get into a deep theological discussion here, but I think God most likely has more important tasks at hand.

Here are the events and oddness which went down in that Big Brother House of Uncommon Nonsense*:

• Jameka is a bit under the weather today. She's also mad because someone put chocolate syrup on the downstairs toilet seat as a prank and she ended up cleaning it up.
• Eric and Jessica want to keep Jen in the house for their own strategic purposes. If it comes down to it, they want to try to make a deal with Dick and Daniele that if Jen goes this week, Zach has to go next. (Argh, I want AMBER to go! I know it may not be the most strategic move, but she is the most annoying person on the feeds for me.)
• In the POV player picks, Daniele chose Dick as her Houseguest's Choice. Zach and Jessica were the other two chosen and Eric was picked as the host.
• Evel Dick and Zach happy-danced that Jen wasn't competing for the veto.
• They were told ahead of time that in addition to the veto, there would be two prizes of trips. The veto was based on CBS poll answers, but blocked to the feeds (of course).
  
• Daniele won the POV. The trips were won by Daniele and Amber.
• Daniele said she wouldn't use the veto. Dick quickly vetoed that idea! He said they should make a deal with Amber that she won't put them on the block if she gets HOH next week and send Jen home.(Like Amber could win HOH! Give me a break here!)
• Daniele is reluctant -- she thinks she can make a deal with Jen. Dick doesn't want that.
• Zach complained to Daniele that Amber and Jameka are "being mean" to him because of the Dustin gone ordeal.
• When Zach mentioned to Daniele that it seems like Dick tried to do his best for her and her brother Vincent, she scoffed. She said he likes to make it look like he did.
• Amber hopes someone will discover her. (Perhaps the men in white jackets? They're coming to take you away, haha, heehee...)
• Dick talked nice at ... er, to Amber. He was actually very pleasant, asking if she was okay, telling her he didn't know who would go home, and if she needed to talk he's there. He also played up on her winning a feast and the trip and how happy he was for her.
• Amber teared up a wee bit, but thanked him.
• Amber didn't cry.
• Jameka told Amber that she thinks Daniele will use the veto to put up Eric. (How out of touch is she?)
• Amber thinks that Daniele won't take her off the block because she's selfish. Jameka told her she should try making a deal with her.
• There was beer pong and an extended True/False game.
• And there ya go!

I've had a post in the pending queue over at TV Squad for a while. I'm not sure when it will hit the airwaves. Um, well, not airwaves, I guess. Cyberspace?

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds Into the Morn - Sat., 8/18

My latest TV Squad post went up overnight. You're all welcome to go give it a gander!

Here's the lowdown from the late night hours into the dawn from inside that Big Brother House of "But I don't want to go among mad people." <-- Alice, in The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland.

When you think of it, the story is definitely suited to this group of houseguests, eh?

Here we go, among the mad people:

• Jameka is really upset with Jessica over the events as of late. She's hurt and betrayed. (But I thought everything was predetermined in the game? If so, Jessica must be being guided by a higher source, right?)
• The BB voice had to yell "stop that" at Evel for doing cannonballs in the pool.
• Eric reminded the girls that they voted out all of the hunky guys and they're down to him, Zach, and Dick.
• Jamkea seems to be upset that Zach grabbed bandannas for the food comp, but I still don't know what the comp itself was.
• Jameka and Jessica talked about how much Jen has been degraded by the men-- Jameka doesn't think she's been as degraded in her whole life as Jen has been in just the house.
• Jameka and Amber got called to the DR a lot and often weren't in there long.
• Eric tried to tell Amber that Dustin had deals going with just about everyone in the house and was a dangerous player. She's upset that Eric didn't just tell Dustin how the vote was going to go. Eric said that wasn't his responsibility. (Duh... that kind of thing is part of the game, Amber. After all, how else could we have seen his jaw drop like that?)
• Eric kept saying the Dustin move was purely strategic. I don't know if Amber and Jameka are buying what he's selling.
• Jen thinks Daniele and Evel Dick need to be put up on the block again.
• Amber is concerned that she may not be able to trust Eric. @@ (Maybe if she stopped crying so much and opened those eyes, she could see!)
• Eric told Jameka that as long as Dick and Daniele are in the game, they'll be the target which makes him less of a target.
• Jameka thinks Eric was disloyal to Dustin. Dustin had done him a favor and he paid back with betrayal.
• Eric told Jameka he would have gone home in two weeks at Dustin's will, so he could ruffle feathers and get Dustin out or suffer that fate.
• Eric asked Dick about what would happen if Jen won POV. Dick said he wouldn't be shocked and Amber would go home. (C'mon, Jen! Win that POV!)
• Dick thinks the LNC Remainders would have been fractured this week even if Eric hadn't made his move. (I notice how Jessica is left out of a lot of this!)
• Eric told Dick that the DR asks him about Jessica all the time. (Hey, they want shomances for ratings!)
• After a lot of small talk, nothing new on the strategy front, all the houseguests are asleep as I post this.

The POV comp will be held sometime today. I should have the results by this evening.

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds - Nominations?

The feeds were blocked for a couple of hours and this is Jameka's state of mind. The block had to be for the nominations. Going into things, Daniele had mentioned nominating Jameka and Amber with a backdoor Jen plan.

Since the feeds returned, no one has talked about the noms. Dick asked Jameka if she was okay and she gave an abrupt answer, then headed to the couch by the HOH room. She's been there since with teary eyes and playing with what I believe is her rosary.

At one point a silent Amber walked through where Eric and Jessica were talking. She was dressed in a towel and looked like she came from the shower. Not a word was said.

So, I think it's pretty safe to say that Amber and Jameka are on the block even though no one has verbalized it. After all, actions speak louder than words.

UPDATE: Confirmed, it's Jameka and Amber on the block. Amber had a premonition that she'll win POV. She thinks Jameka is the pawn because they want her (Amber) out. She thinks that Jen will go on the block if she saves herself when she wins the POV. God did it all for a reason.

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds News - Friday 8/17

A day without Dustin is like a day without sunshine.

Or not.

For all the drama leading into last night's show, it's been a bit quiet strategy-wise, etc.

But they did have the food comp!

Here are the happenings from today inside that Big Brother House of Dropping Jaws:

• Eric did jumping jacks naked then asked Jameka her opinion of his anatomy. @@ (Is that like playing doctor when you're 8 or what?)
• Jessica, Amber, and Jameka were treated to this wonder.
• Dick would like Jen to leave this week. If not Jen, he'd settle for Amber. (I'd put Amber on my list for first to go.)
• He's worried that Jen could win POV or HOH.
• Zach doesn't like being called Shrek. Instead of saying that to Dick who calls him it, he told Jen. (Jen said, "I'm Jen.)
• The feeds were blocked for the food comp and when they returned, the HG were wearing togas.
• I'm not sure who's on slop this week. It could be Amber and Jameka as the rest seem pretty happy.
  
• Amber went off to her room where she probably ...
• ... cried.
• The table became smaller while they were outside with the food comp. It's about time!
• Added note -- Jen is also on slop this week.

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds Towards the Dawn Fri.08/17

Yes, that's right. Jameka is smiling.

Is she resigned to the fact that while she's likely to go on the block this week, she's not likely to be the target for eviction? Why not the target? Well, she still has four weeks to go before she can compete in a HOH comp. Right now she's just a vote and a possible POV contender.

Here are the late night happenings as we head towards dawn on Friday in that Big Brother House of Mismatched Socks:

• The HG had a Chinese food feast and a good time was had by all. Well, a subdued time was had by Amber.
• The fortune cookies were interesting. Jessica will meet a new friend. Jameka will be soon crossing warm waters for a fun vacation (sequester?). Dick will impress others with his artistic side. Daniele has to focus on her long term goal. Zach will be irresistible with his natural charm. Eric should slow down to smell the roses. Amber has good news on the way. (Sure, she does.) Jen is inclined to come up with unconventional solutions.
• In Daniele's HOH stuff, she didn't receive any photos of her boyfriend Kris. Hmmm...
• Amber told Daniele she's never talked bad about her. (I'd say iffy on that one -- talked bad about Daniele and Evel as a team a lot.)
• Evel Dick wants to plan a strategy ahead of time to work their way into the finals, but Daniele doesn't want to think that far ahead and wants to enjoy her upcoming birthday.
• Eric dressed up in a dress of Jessica's.
• Amber told everyone that she understands they voted the way they felt they had to -- she's not mad and just needs a few days. (How about until next Thursday?)
• At one point, Jameka and Amber commiserated by themselves. Although they plan to put on a good front, they're very upset about the Dustin eviction.
• Amber is sure that Daniele, Dick, Eric, and Jessica have a deal to go to the final four and that she and Jameka just won't have the votes to get that far.
• Amber is pretty bitter over things and is keeping apart from the others -- even when she's with them, she's very quiet.
  
• Jameka is putting on her game face and mingling.
• Right now all but Amber and Zach are hanging out small-talking about bathroom habits, television shows and such. Zach usually turns in a bit earlier.
• For all I know, Amber may be crying in bed.
  

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds Since the Live Show 8/16

<--- Jessica listens to Jameka with great sympathy and interest. Um. Okay, maybe it's feigned sympathy and interest. Here are the events from inside that Big Brother House of Topsy Turvy since tonight's jaw-dropping (for Dustin) live eviction show:

• Jen told Eric that she knew all of the answers for the HOH comp.
• Evel Dick is tickled pink over his Carol comment in his speech. I must have missed something, but it seems that the guys have a bet on mentioning Carol or something.
• Eric wondered if Julie Chen ever made it through a show without botching a line. (I don't think so!)
• Everyone's happy and having fun!
• Except Jameka. She's somber.
• Except Amber. She went to bed crying.
• Daniele is shocked that it was between her and Amber for HOH. Oh, the pressure!
• They talked about Mini-Mad Hatter falling over the carpet and messing up his lines. He had them written on the back of the clock he wore, too!
• Daniele, taking cues from the ChenBot, asked Amber what she thought her daughter's reaction was to the show (hearing herself mentioned).
• Amber cried.
• Her daughter is 8 and going in the third grade, not 5.
  
• Jessica thought Amber was doing better than they expected, but at that time Jameka hadn't spoken to anyone.
• Dick danced about the house and yard. No, he wouldn't cut it on So You Think You Can Dance.
  
• Jen is rejoicing that she wasn't put on the block because she'd be gone.
• They're noticing things have gone missing. Daniele thinks Dustin did it, Zach thinks Jen. (Jen and Eric did it early this morning.)
• Jen admitted to hiding the kitchen utensils, showing Dick where they are so he can cook.
• Dick said something to the effect of knowing Eric is involved with the show, then the feeds were blocked.
• Jameka and Jessica had a long talk (still talking) in which Jessica acted surprised with tonight's outcome.
• Jameka says something is up with Eric because why would he switch his vote and save Dick after Dick wanted to get him out last week.
• Meanwhile, Evel Dick and Zach are discussing different ways to die in the backyard. Um. I just thought it worth mentioning.
• Jameka thinks Jen would go to the final four with Eric before Dick and Daniele would.
• Jessica, despite that voice, is playing a good game. Jameka thinks she has a confidant.
• There has been no game talk about nominations since the live show, but I think they'd remain the same -- Jameka and Amber up with Amber the target or backdoor Jen if they can.
• They're in Daniele's HOH room as I get this posted. Dick loves the pics, so does Daniele -- even the horrible ones they can laugh at! Dark chocolate! Corndogs! Trader Joe's popcorn!
  
• All is smiles and sunshine.
• Except Amber.
• She looks like she's about to cry.

So, there you go. They're awaiting Chinese food. Tomorrow will be the food comp and nominations.

'So You Think You Can Dance' - Season Finale - East Coast Updates

This post is going to be more the major news than outright blogging. I had to record the first hour due to Big Brother 8. But I wanted to get it started so folks can jump in with their thoughts in the comments area.

I will most definitely be posting the winner, so c'mon back! It seems that no news has been announced, group dances and couples dancing seem to be what's happening.

Whoops, there goes Lacey! She's not going to win and has been eliminated.

'Big Brother 8' - Live 8/16 Eviction Show Live-Blogged from the East Coast

She mentioned Dustin "rubbing it" in Dick's face. But, first ... but ... is it too little too late (for Dick)? The Veto Meeting replayed. So far the editing seems to be favoring Dick as a nicer person. Now Eric is "sick" again. @@

Zach cooked dinner for Jessica on their "date." They think that Amber will vote Dick out. Zach likes being kept off the radar. Zach suggests she listen to what Dick can offer her. He points out that Jameka can't be HOH. He gave Jessica his word that he would vote Dick out unless she tells him differently.

America's Player -- Eric hopes to target Dick for eviction. He pulls out Dustin's name and said he was expecting it. So he goes to work on Jessica. Notice his hair is mysteriously short now.

Eric talks to Dick (which actually happened over a whole day later than his talk with Jessica. They talk about a D&D, Jessica and Eric alliance. Eric goes back and pleads his case with Jessica once again.

After the commercial, we'll see how Joe thinks Dustin is playing the game.

Julie is talking to the houseguests now. She asked Dick about using the veto to save Daniele. He said he had to do it. Daniele admits that she would like to say she would do the same, but isn't in that position. Jen was asked about getting the slop pass from Dick. The halfway mark is done.

Argh, Julie mentions Amber's daughter, so ... guess what?

Amber cries.

Now it's Joe -- he talks of the ddownward spiral, selfish, self-involved. I think Joe may have been the better of the two to stay in the house. Joe says he's been condescending and arrogant. Joe feels vindicated.

We're going into commercial soon -- the live vote is coming up and the "unusual houseguests" are a part of the HOH comp. They're wwighing the pre-vote to Dick going in the DR spots. But, I feel it will be otherwise.

Julie's talking to Julie in the HOH room segment. Jessica tells of Jen telling her Dustin was in a secret alliance with Dick. Jessica trusts Jameka and Eric the most. Romance with Eric? A great time, who knows? She's trying to stay focused on the game right now.

The evicted will be the first jury member. Julie lests Dustin talk, he says it's been very fun and tells them to vote to make it more fun. Dick was just smiley and regrets Carol won't be there to kiss him on the way out.

The votes:
Amber votes to evict Dick.
Eric votes to evict Dustin. He's now happy with our choice.
Jamkea votes to evict Dick.
Daniele votes to evict Dustin.
Commercial break.
Zach votes to evict Dustin.
Jen votes to evict Dustin.

Dustin is history.

His jaw literally dropped. It's all Dick can do to keep from smiling.

What's Amber doing?

He's wearing his nasty grey t-shirt, not his robe. Jameka and Amber are ticked off! Jameka glared at Dic and ran to the toilet stall. Dustin tells Julie he's stunned. He blames it on Eric being sheisty. He has the votes figured out. He regrets volunteering himself and felt regret this afternoon.

The goodbye messages -- Dick is smug, Jameka had his back, Jen tells him she's Jen, Eric thanks him for taking care of him he plays innocent, Daniele said she couldn't vote for him against her dad, Zach says his arrogance was the problem, Jessica was sweet, and Amber... (guess what).

How quickly Amber forgets that she loves Nick, right?

HOH comp - Expect the unexpected, the strange visotors hold the answers to tonight's competition. HA... the only showed him saying "Stitch" not "snitch" -- he screwed up in the house. He said snithc a half-dozen times and stitch twice. The barbershop quartet, the statue, the rabbits...

Jameka looks like she's been crying. The game is called Strange Visitors. They give true or false answers.

Jen is out on the first question.
Dick and Zach are out.
Eric is out.
DANIELE IS THE NEW HOH.

Jen is blaming the machine to flip the answers for her getting the boot. Jameka and Amber look very worried and gave perfunctory hugs to Daniele.

America's Player -- Who do you want out of the house? Who should Eric try to get nominated.

AMBER, I say.

Julie makes Amber cry again. Bad ChenBot. Good, she cut her off!

'Big Brother 8' Live Feeds TV Squad and STUFF

When the Big Brother 8 live show starts here on the East Coast, I'll open a live-blogging post for it and all comments are welcome!

Since the So You Think You Can Dance finale is two hours tonight, I have to tape the first hour due to BB8. At 9 PM ET, I'll open up an East Coast Updates post so you can converse in the comments area and I can post major updates. I will post the winner by 10 PM ET.

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds Into Thursday Morning 8/16

<--- The Jenius at rest. Again, houseguests are still up as I get this entry in. Eric, Jen, and Jessica are talking in the HOH room. Here's a quick take on the house happenings since the last update:

• While Jessica was in the HOH room celebrating Dick's supposed demise (from the game, not real) with Dustin, Amber, and Jessica ... Eric was talking to Daniele.
• In the Eric/Daniele conversation, they talked deal and going to the F4 together. That would be Daniele, Evel Dick, Jessica, and Eric.
• Eric made it sound like he would convince Jessica because neither trusted Dustin.
• Daniele told Eric that Jessica herself would have to talk to Zach because he told her he gave his word to vote Dick out.
• Eric and Daniele know that Jen has lied about many things.
• Dustin, although not AS cocky as originally, joked that he would walk out in his King's robe if evicted.
• When Eric and Jessica got together, Eric continued to work Jessica over to the evict Dustin plan.
• When Dick talked to Daniele about her talk with Eric, he told her that they shouldn't even think of taking Eric out next week if he does this for him this week.
• Meanwhile, Jessica said Daniele and Dick should go on the block next week, but Eric reminded her of the deal and said the veto replacement would have to be voted out.
• Jen and Eric started hiding items to make the others think there are more clues.
  

So, that's where things stand right now. It appears that the deal with Eric, Jessica, Dick, and Daniele is on (at the moment). If it lasts through to the show tonight, it will be Dustin leaving ... in his robe.

'Big Brother 8' - Through the Evening Wednesday 08/14

Amber didn't cry.

It's been some day in the house, but there have been no more visitors or unusual happenings. The houseguests' theories have run the gamut. Anything could be possible!

Here are the evening happenings from that Big Brother House of "We're All Mad Here" -- a quote from the Cheshire Cat in The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland:

• Zach walked up to Daniele and said something about sharing their secrets. When she didn't respond, he said, "No response. Very interesting." Then he walked away.
• Evel tried to reason his way into a deal with Eric (and Jessica). Eric seemed leery, but obviously taking it all in because he wants Dustin evicted this week.
• Evel regrets giving the slop pass to Jen instead of Daniele.
• Jameka and Amber think the numbers are shifting to a Dustin eviction.
• If Dustin goes, they both think they'll be the next two targets.
• Eric asked Zach if he saw the Sanskrit writing on Mini-Mad's shoes. Zach said he did, but can't read Sanskrit.
• There was no writing, Sanskrit or otherwise, on Mini-Mad's shoes.
• eric reported the conversation with Evel Dick to Jessica. She realized that some of what she said in confidence to Zach was repeated by Dick.
• Eric and Jessica talked about it being a 4 to 2 vote for Dustin to go -- that way she wouldn't have to be the tiebreaking vote.
• Zach reported his "date" conversation with Jessica to Dick -- he tried to campaign for Dick to stay.
• Daniele talked to Jessica about an alliance with her father, her, and Eric. Jessica seemed receptive, but she tends to do that.
• Jessica and Eric talked about the proposed deal with the Donato's. Jessica is leery, but Eric told her he would take all the heat if they do it.
• Jessica is leaning more towards an evict Dick vote as time goes on.
• Eric told Daniele they should form an alliance because they're both in vulnerable positions.
• Jameka, Dustin, and Jessica are in the HOH trying to figure out the day's clues.

I'll leave you with a line from Mini-Mad which I didn't list earlier:

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds Screen Caps and a Bit More 8/15

Right now the HG are in an outdoor lockdown. There are bunnies involved, each one with a card on its neck (they were left inside). Zach and Dustin are trying to figure out clues in what the Mini-Mad Hatter was saying, the songs sung by the barbershop quartet ("I'm Mad About Harry" and another), there was a living "statue" seeming to mock some HG. It's all so very odd.

They're all trying to figure things out. One theory is that three will go on the block, two will leave.
