BB22: Veto Show Blog Party - Oct. 7

I mistakenly titled my last show post as "Veto" but then fixed it. I got myself all discombobulated between the triple eviction, the live feeds and the extended wait for the aired show. Tonight is the veto show. But you knew that.

I'll be updating this entry with the major events as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest news. As always, the real party is in the comments area -- please feel free to join in on the fun!

Sitting through the Previously On while twiddling my thumbs. It's hard to type while thumb-twiddling, though. I hope the segment is short.

Cody would have to put up someone he has a final two with if he has to replace one of his nominees -- Tyler or Christmas. So, we go into the traditional and tired Diary Room segments of each one telling us why they must win veto.

Cody would prefer Christmas go. Nicole had promised Dani that she would go after Christmas. Will she? Hmm. Enzo talks to Nicole. He throws the two nominees under the bus to her and plays up to Nicole.

Enzo plays dumb to Tyler in case he wins the veto. Enzo is actually thinking a bit more this season than he did in his previous season.

Christmas cries while talking to Cody saying she isn't taking it personally or emotionally. Right. He's not impressed although he's apologetic to her. He tells us she did it to herself.

Filler material with Tyler and Memphis talking about their fathers passing and mothers remarrying. Memphis says you don't really get it until you have a son. Tyler tells us that his father was a fan of the show and that was what drove him to be on the show. Emotional bit.

Christmas talks to her buddy Memphis. She doesn't want him to go on the block if she comes off the block. Or, if Tyler comes off, he will go up. Memphis reminds us of his final two with Cody and is sure he would be safe. We know Cody has final twos with Enzo, Nicole and Memphis.

Tyler lies to Enzo telling him that Cody wanted him targeted in the triple. He tells Enzo about the Committee. Of course, Enzo knows about the Committee. He thinks Tyler is desperate. Enzo is sure that Cody is his final two because they are the Root. He feels he can't trust Tyler.

Veto comp time. All compete because they're down to six. It's baseball themed with food included. They have to arrange photos in chronological order, hit button to lock in time. The crowd will cheer or boo. They have a max-out time of 25 minutes. Ten pictures of evicted houseguests are the photos. It's the food in their hands, accessories and clothes to determine the order.

Nicole is up first and seems to be having problems with it. Then it's Memphis. He seems to have a plan. Enzo is up. He feels safe. But he wants to win anyway to keep the nominations the same for Cody. He seems more confused than Nicole was.

Tyler is up. He starts out fast and very wrong. Then it's Cody. He is hustling. I'm surprised he knows what chronological means since he thinks a Texan is an animal. Christmas is up.
Times in minutes and seconds:
Christmas 12.04
Enzo 25.0
Tyler 25.0
Cody 4.57
Nicole 7.11
Memphis 8.16

Cody wins the Power of Veto!

Tyler is feeling down. He doesn't expect Cody to change the nominations. He and Enzo both timed out. Christmas doesn't think Cody will change the nominations but she wants to campaign to stay.

Enzo rants to Cody over Tyler. Tyler wasn't Cody's target but may have worked himself into the role. Silly boy doesn't realize how close Enzo and Cody are.

Tyler goes once again to Cody. He tells him that he's sure if he stays on the block, he will go home. He tells Cody that Memphis is ready to turn on him (Cody). He's scrambling. He tells Cody that Memphis would take Christmas to the final two. The problem is that Cody knows Tyler lied to Enzo about targeting him.

And, here we are ... time for the veto meeting. Cody does NOT use the veto. Tyler and Christmas remain on the block.

BB22: Live Feeds into Tuesday Evening - Oct. 6

Christmas's buddy

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Anxious Ants:
  • Another day in the house of fun and adventure.
  • Yeah, right.
  • Well, we didn't have any insanely long feed blocks.
  • Just a heck of a lot of short ones.
  • Lots and lots of small talk today.
  • Oh, and Christmas continues to suck up to Nicole for her vote.
  • Today she used her culinary slop skills to work her way into Nicole's heart.
  • Gag me now.
  • Tyler would like to think he might get Nicole's vote to stay.
  • But he knows deep down inside that's probably not going to happen.
  • Yeah, Cody. It looks like Tyler will go home on your HoH despite what you said to him.
  • And it's all because of kowtowing to Memphis.
  • There just isn't a heck of a lot happening.
  • I'd dance to entertain you.
  • But, no.
  • I'll just quietly post this.
  • Laters.

At this point, I'm fine with an Enzo win

I wish she would go away

Is that a hair mat atop her head?

Will he stay? Probably not.

BB22: Maybe Nominations Show Blog Party, Maybe Not - Oct. 5

Like so many things about this season (and year) this too is messed up. In its infinite wisdom, BB changed the Sunday night show to Monday to avoid football delays on Sundays. Well, duh. It seems the NFL decided to air football on Monday nights on CBS, starting way later than they start the Sunday games. So, BB was SUPPOSED to air at 8PM Eastern. Now I see it scheduled for 10PM in this area. It's doubtful it will be that early at all here.

I have this post set to go up at 10PM ET. Right now I honestly don't know when the show will air here or if I'll be up to live blogging it at some ridiculously late hour. But, everyone is free to party in the comments area. Please behave.

Okay, I turned my TV on a few minutes before 10 and BB is on? A repeat because David just went home? I'm so lost.

I will not be updating this entry because, so far, it all seems like the end of the Triple from Thursday.

Okay ... something new. BB Yoga Studio for the the HoH comp. Namastay off the Block. Keeping three buttons pressed while undressed (not to the naked point). Each button release will make the clock go faster.

I guess I'm updating this.

Christmas out in the first round. Nicole out in the second round. Enzo out in the third round.  CODY WINS HOH!

Both Christmas and Tyler are worried because they were the two who voted to oust Nicole while the plan had been David.

Cody wants to target Christmas. Enzo is fine with that. However, Memphis wants Tyler targeted.

Surprise, surprise ... Cody nominates Tyler and Christmas.

BB22: Live Feeds into Monday - Oct. 5

Pretty inside and out ... um ...

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Inexplicable Live Feeds Blocks:
  • Yeah, I'm getting pretty disgusted with all the live feeds blocking this season.
  • Heck, they get a booze delivery and take the feeds down for two hours.
  • It's ridiculous.
  • And now they're even messing with the aired television episodes. Due to football delays on Sundays, they changed the veto show to Monday nights.
  • Um.
  • There's football scheduled tonight on CBS.
  • The local listings have BB scheduled for 10pm tonight. That's IF football has ended by then.
  • I'll put a post up for the show, but don't know if I will live blog it really late at night. Grr.
  • Okay, back to the live feeds.
  • Nicole is setting herself up well for pretty much the only kind of comp she can win -- questions.
  • She's been studying alone using the backgammon board and knows the days and comps inside out and upside down.
  • As for the nominees -- Christmas and Tyler -- unless you see an update from me stating otherwise, they're still on the block.
  • I'm sure Cody will not be using the veto to change his own nominations.
  • However, he has indeed let Memphis get in his head.
  • Cody's original target was Christmas.
  • He thought he would have both Enzo and Nicole on board to evict her.
  • Now Memphis has been turning the target to Tyler with Enzo.
  • Enzo will go along with whomever as long as it's not him. He might actually like Tyler better than he does Christmas. But if taking Tyler out is better for his own game, that's what he'll do.
  • Nicole has good reason to target Christmas -- she promised Dani revenge. But it looks like she too might be swayed to vote out Tyler.
  • I personally like Tyler, but do think that it would be more dangerous letting him stay until the end while they have the chance to evict him now.
  • He's good at comps and he gets along well with others.
  • Then you have Christmas. While she's won a few comps, she's often rubbed others a bit wrong.
  • Most of the others would rather sit next to a Christmas in a final two than a Tyler.
  • I guess I don't blame them.

Sitting pretty once again this week

Studying days and comps alone

Cheers before the feeds cut

Knows he's in trouble this week

BB22: Live Feeds into Saturday Evening, PoV - Oct. 3

I am NOT stupid!

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Miserable Mice:
  • I know. I know.
  • I didn't post separately Cody's nominations.
  • But I did say what he was going to do in my last update.
  • And, that's exactly what he did.
  • Someone in comments mentioned the nominees.
  • Oh.
  • You still don't know.
  • Tyler and Christmas.
  • Cody's target is Christmas.
  • But we're getting in the days when they all aren't necessarily going to be sheep to the HOH's whims.
  • Memphis has a good relationship with Christmas.
  • Well, as good a relationship as he can have because he's so Memphis-like.
  • Nicole, on the other hand, has vowed to get rid of Christmas for her buddy Dani and for reasons of her own.
  • So, the swing vote would be Enzo.
  • It seems like he'll want to keep his buddy Tyler in the game.
  • But it's to the point where friendship doesn't trump game.
  • Sorry to use that word, but it fits with what I want to say.
  • The feeds have been rather um ... tedious. The camera people at the switch are too quick to block even rather innocuous conversations. It would seem to me that talking about previous hamsters and previous seasons would be allowed. Nope! Stars!
  • I really liked the fish better.
  • Or ,,, that one season with the tarantulas was cool!
  • Watching them play backgammon is worse that watching them play chess.
  • With the crew in there no, there is no chance of any stimulating intellectual discussions.
  • Oh, well.
  • All of the hamsters play in the veto.
  • And, once I know who won -- the feeds are blocked as I'm typing this up -- I'll tell you the winner and zap this update up!
  • CODY won the Power of Veto.

How much longer can she be carried?
