The Amazing Race: TAR35 Teams Introduction

Good afternoon! Nope, this is not about Big Brother. Does everything have to be about Big Brother? No, it does not! I'm here to talk about the upcoming season of The Amazing Race and brief you on the teams.

The season starts on September 27. From that Wednesday forward, BB25 will be on Tuesday nights and Wednesdays will be 90-minute episodes of Survivor followed by 90-minute episodes of The Amazing Race. For the first time the show will feature 13 teams. According to CBC, the race will be a "23,800-mile adventure around the world." We will see the return of commercial flights instead of the private Covid-era flights. Plus, there will be no non-elimination legs, there will be a twist on the U-Turn and the Express Pass will be back.

Here's a cast video from Parade.com --

Here are the teams:

Alexandra and Sheridan Lichtor, brother and sister team from Chicago. She's 34, he's 29. Both graduated from Northwestern University with a Chemical Engineering degree and both currently work for the same global management consulting firm. Alex also plays tennis and has won multiple half marathons.

Ashlie and Todd Martin are a married couple living in Chino, California. They are both 38 years old. Ashlie is a hospitality account manager while Todd is a special education teacher.

I can't seem to find much more on them other than the fact they first met at age 15. So, they should surely know each other's quirks by now!

Elizabeth and Iliana Rivera are a mother - daughter team from Tampa, Florida. Elizabeth is 52 years old and Ilana is 27. Their professions are listed as retired lieutenant and entrepreneur. Hmm. Lieutenant where I haven't a clue, nor entrepreneur in what.

Nothing like a bit of vagueness.

Greg and John Franklin are brothers living in New York City and Mountain View, California. Greg is 25, John is 27. Greg is a software developer while John is a product manager. I dunno. Both sound techy to me!

I've read that they have done quite a bit of traveling to other countries together. That could be a very good thing!

Jocelyn Chao and Victor Limary are both 49 years old and yes, they are married despite different surnames. They live in Albuquerque, New Mexico where they are both grocery store managers.

Like many others, they say reading the clue is very important. Let's see if they can practice what they preach!

BB25: Live Feeds into Tuesday - Sept. 12

Freed from kayak duty.

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Inflated Egos:
  • Oh my gosh. Cameron seems to seriously think that he's going to be BB legendary with his chaos creation and big crazy moves.
  • He is still dead set on getting his evil nemesis Izzy out of the house.
  • He thinks people are going along with him.
  • That is despite America telling him everybody is lying to him.
  • Neither America nor Cameron have made the direct correlation and bond between Cirie and Jared.
  • America thinks Jared doesn't trust her.
  • He doesn't.
  • America also told Cam that he, not Red, was the target last week. He doesn't think that's even possible! After all, he has too many allies in the house! All they did was not inform him of the plan about Red, not target him! Heh.
  • Cory, despite his knowledge of BB and his own brainy self, is starting to come across as a lost little puppy dog to me.
  • He talked to Izzy. He told her he no longer trusts Cirie and Jared (yet hasn't figured out the mother/son bit).
  • Izzy told him that she thinks Jag, Blue and America are again working together ... without him.
  • Jared warned him that America tells a lot about him. So there goes his love life.
  • Cory eventually talked to America. He told her that Blue can't be trusted and that he heard she was sharing information about him with others.
  • He asked if she told anyone his Survivor secret (about his brother) and she denied it.
  • Cameron is so into his thinking that he's so devious and shaking up the house so much that it's hard to watch him talk to the others one by one.
  • Now, if he had something new and original and actually earthshaking, it would be different.
  • But he's making an ordeal over rather mundane expected nominations.
  • Izzy is his hated one and he wants her out. Heck, we know she dislikes him too.
  • Cirie and Cameron talked once Cirie was released from kayak duty.
  • Cameron once again professed love for her and said he was only upset with her because he was not brought in on the Red plan.
  • Um, okay. I remember him telling Jared that Cirie was the president, Felicia the VP and Izzy secretary of defense.
  • I do think he does indeed really like her, and I think it's blinding him a bit about how dangerous for anyone else's game it is to not take a shot at her.
  • I like Cirie. But if I were in that house, she would be the first one I wanted out for my own game!
  • Cam told Cirie that Izzy has to go if they expect to work together.
  • Hmm. I doubt Cirie wants to work with him, but if that's his belief, carry on dude.
  • At the time being, keep in mind Waffle Wednesday is still ahead, it looks like the votes are there for Izzy to stay.
  • We will see.
  • Laters!

Matt has Cardboard Josh for a week.

How long can she play under the radar?

But will he vote to keep her?

I'm a mad pig making big moves!

Yes, Cameron. I want to work with you.

BB25: Live Feeds into Monday Evening - Sept. 11

Matt displayed his Josh shots.

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Wayward Children:

  • The big news isn't really big news at all.
  • The Power of Veto meeting was held today.
  • As we all know, Jared didn't dare use the veto to save either due to his fear that Cirie would be the renom.
  • So, Izzy and Felicia remain on the block.
  • Jared hasn't been able to talk to Cirie because she's all but attached to Felicia with the kayak bit.
  • It seems that Cameron, even knowing that Cirie is the leader of the gang, wanted Izzy out instead.
  • So, what's Cameron's big, surprising plan now?
  • Well, he wants Jared to pretend that he's mad at him and vice versa. By Jared not using the veto, his backdoor plan of backdooring Blue to split the showmance up failed.
  • Um. Okay. Nobody will believe that one.
  • He also wants word to spread that Felicia is the target when Izzy is.
  • Little does he know, but Felicia IS the target.
  • Even after some TELL him, he thinks Izzy is the target.
  • Oh my.
  • Matt is doing great with his Cardboard Josh companion.
  • The kayakers, not so much. Their boating ends tonight. I'm not sure when Matt's ends.
  • Cam and Izzy have a week in the pig suits.
  • Jared still thinks he's some kind of mastermind.
  • I just can't get over him showmancing with Blue and telling the camera (his girlfriend at home) that he loves her.
  • Izzy is already making the Izzy Tour, talking to Jag to make sure all their bridges have been repaired.
  • With all of them on slop this week and the backyard closed, they are wanting to go to bed at 10PM.
  • BB should not put so many on slop ever again.

The masks look more pig than pig costumes.

America discovers a new way to nap.

Cory made his round talking to Cam.

The new hamster is quiet and doesn't eat much.

Wants to stop kayaking, Mr. B!

BB25: Live Feeds into Monday Morning - Sept. 11

He thinks he has the perfect plan.

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Precarious Pigs:

  • With the punishments in action, there is a bit of stifling some of the gameplay.
  • No one can talk serious gameplay to Cirie unless they are okay with Felicia hearing it.
  • Jared has had long talks with Cameron.
  • Cameron still wants Jared to use the veto to take Felicia down and to put Cirie up. He seems to think that Izzy would be voted out over Cirie but it would let Cirie know that she's in danger ... or something like that.
  • Although he's acting like he will use the veto to Cam, we know it's no way.
  • It seems to me that this is actually the plan Cirie has had all along, as are many of the things that have gone down this season.
  • Last week she started throwing Felicia under the bus with several of the others.
  • This week, it seems if the noms remain the same and it's Izzy versus Felicia, it would be an overwhelming vote to send Felicia home.
  • Exactly what Cirie seems to want.
  • In other news, Izzy and Cameron completed their moving cups of dirt task in the yard, so neither lost the ability to play for veto this coming week.
  • They also have night pig costumes to sleep in. The costumes should last through the upcoming eviction show.
  • Now, Cameron really wants Izzy out (if he can't take the shot at Cirie).
  • He thinks if it's Izzy and Felicia on the block, Izzy would be voted out.
  • Oh, but he's wrong there. Between Cirie throwing Felicia under the bus to Felicia's own bossy self, it would be Bye, Felicia! Izzy has calmed down a lot and gotten in better with others lately.
  • Matt seems a bit fascinated with the Polaroid technology he has to use. To think, he originally thought he would be getting a trip to the set of the show and he ended up with a cardboard cutout. He even has to tuck the cardboard Josh into a bed at night.
  • The kayakers, Felicia and Cirie are pretty much in a world of their own. They have ended up spending a lot of time in the living room as that's the easiest fit for them.
  • Without Red, the slop has been experiment time. But they seem to have come up with a few decent concoctions.
  • After many talks, it now seems that Jared has talked Cam off the idea of using the veto.
  • The veto meeting is later today.
  • We know Jared has no plan on using it.
  • But ...?

This little piggy is on the block.

Will he keep the deal with Cam?

The pesky guest refuses to sit in the nom. chair.

Matt is having fun with a Polaroid.

BB25: Nominations and Filler? Show Blog Party - Sept.10

Tonight's show will not be starting until about 8:45PM ET!

Good evening! I have no clue about what other than nominations will be on tonight's show. It's been a long time since they had an HOH comp in its entirety on the Thursday show. I guess we will find out!

I will be live blogging this show, constantly updating this entry as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest updates! As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

But first, please make sure you check out my entry about the schedule changes for the show! Tonight's show isn't scheduled until 8:30PM ET, so ... no ... I'm not late!

Sitting through the "Previously on" segment.

We pick up the action after the HOH comp ends and Julie says goodnight. Cameron is mad. He hopes everyone is nervous. He's getting bleeped a lot. No, Cameron didn't know they were voting out Red. Even Bowie feels bad about it because her own people didn't tell her.

The Have Not for all but Cam starts immediately. Bowie confronts Felicia and company. She's almost in tears and feels all alone. Felicia wants to talk to her. She tells her that it's not personal. Cirie reminds her that there is information she has withheld from them. Izzy tells her that she (Bowie) needs to find out his plans. Bowie tells us she now trusts nobody.

Matt, America and Jag talk. Matt is upset that Felicia kicked him out of the room earlier. What is she up to? Is she throwing people under the bus?

Cirie tells us she has to do serious damage control. She tells Cameron about the Chillers and tells him that Red was targeting him. All lies, but. Will it work? Nope. He tells us in the Diary Room that it didn't work.

The Humili Globe is lighting up in the living room. They get the message, all week a different humiliation. Use a bullhorn each time to use the bathroom, Stink-o-Meter in the bathroom, gas masks in case the meter hits ten. We get a long segment on the stink shenanigans.

Cameron talks to Bowie. She tells him she wasn't in the loop and now can't believe anything they say. Cameron tells her they're good. He won't share his thoughts, but she's good.

Jag and Izzy talk. Jag tells her all about his background and growing up. He tells us the turban stands for who he is. He talks of abuse due to the turban. He's proud to be a Sikh.

Felicia thinks she and Jared are a perfect final two when she already has a final two with Cirie, cannot trust her anymore. Cirie thinks Felicia is a loose cannon. Red and Bowie catch Felicia saying Red would take a cupcake home instead of "for later." Cirie says she's a floppy mess.

Felicia is singing/shouting in her sleep. Then into snores.

Blue talks to Cam. He tells her that probably Jag on the block, he needs her to be the pawn. He tells us he just needs her to go downstairs and act like she hates him. Jag talks to Cam. Cam tells him he wants to put him on the block next to Blue. He needs to deal for safety next week to give Jag safety this week. No telling anyone. Jag tells us that he won't say anything.

Matt and Jag are pretending to text with their mics for a date. Matt and Jag are besties.

Matt and Cam talk. He tells him Jag and Blue. He tells all of them Jag and Blue. He tells us it's not the truth. They gave him shock and awe, he can give it back.

Time for the Nominations Ceremony. Cam brings the box with two keys, when the HumiliWeek jumps in. Cam gets pies from the storage room. He will smash a pie in the face of everyone safe. First safe is Bowie Jane. Second, Jared. Cirie, Mecole, Cory, Matt, JAG, BLUE, America.

Felicia and Izzy on the block. He thinks they have had a comfortable ride, turned on two male allies and doesn't want to be the third.

Cam tells us Cirie is the President, Felicia VP and Izzy Defense. You don't go right at the president first.
