'Big Brother 8 - Live Eviction Show 7/26 - Live Blogged from East Coast

Jackie's TV Blog, BB8, Big Brother 8

I'll be updating this coast as the show airs here on the East Cost. Refresh the page to get the latest!

The recap is drawing to a close. Kail feels horrible about sitting next to Mike. She thinks Dick is sending her home. Mike doesn't think Kail is emotionally strong enough to get through the game.

Dick is talking to Nick. Nick seems almost too eager to me. They say Mike should go. Dixk is making the rounds with his Get Rid of Mike Campaign.

Jen advised Kail not to campaign against Mike and he shouldn't campaign against her either. Jen let Mike know that Kail kept the alliance from her despite they were such good friends. Mike is on his true and trustworthy bit.

Eric is discovering his America's Player vote. He lets us know that the vote would be 9-1 for Mike to go right now, but if America wants Kail out, he'll get it done. (I don't think he can!)

Flatulent Dick left the room before having his gas. Good. Eric is in the HOH room campaign -- I posted two segments of this on YouTube and linked them earlier. Dustin says he plans to vote Mike out and that Kail is putty in his hands. Dick is staring to come around... maybe.

Coming up, it's a segment with Daniele's boyfriend. Jen's mother never showed last week, eh?

They're doing the HG thoughts on the two nominees from the DR now. You can never base anything on these unless it's overwhelming that one will go. That's when they usually stay!

Julie's talking to the houseguests. They show the Zach streaking incident. He said he "needed my high back" because he was feeling low. Jameka was asked about being low-key when others demand attention. Jen said she'd stop the mustard investigation until she gets home. Eric was questioned about losing the wrestling match with Jen.

To Daniele's live-in boyfriend now... Kris. He's cleancut, seems nice. He says they've talked about marriage and he thinks Daniele is his soulmate. Awww. He wants to believe Daniele's relationship with Nick is all strategy. She told him before going into the house that he has to trust her, so he is. He says some things hurt, but he's not worried -- it's all about trust.

Julie's HOH room talk with Dick is on now. Dick says his and Daniele's relationship is going in the right direction... he even got hugged. He told Julie he doesn't trust Nick. He says his outspoken ways are his gameplay. Call 'em out, get 'em out.

It's a segment on Jen now. We could be surprised to discover the real Jen. (I've said there's more to her.) Ah, Mom showed up! Jen was a straight A student? Yikes! Mom said Jen taking her photo down hurt a little bit. Dick shows he knows there's more to her. Her sister told her to play dumb.

Back to the houseguests. Julie gives each nominee a chance to speak. Mike talks about stepping outside of the comfort zone and of his integrity and honesty platform, values, tc. Kail gets up, really appreciates everyone's friendship, special bond, blah blah, strengthen friendship if she stays.

The voting goes:

Zach votes out Kail.
Jameka votes to evict Mike.
Jen votes to evict Mike.
Dustin votes to evict Mike.
Commercial break. Argh.
Eric votes out Kail for us in a charade.
Amber votes out Mike.
Nick votes to evict Mike.
Daniele votyes to evict Michael.
Jessica votes to evict Mike.

With an 7 to 2, Mike is evicted from the house. He gives the girls each a flower from the planter.

Julie talk taime as the HG hug.

And Kail cries.
And Amber fusses with her hair. There is an issue who the second vote for Kail to go is. Eric is squirming.

Mike told Julie his taunting Dick was integrity. Zach told him he voted for him to stay. Dustin is blunt. Amber is nice. Jen... Hi, Mike, it's ... Jen. Very nice. Dick was honest, said it was a bad gameplay. They're not showing the Eric bit to him. Time must be short?

The HOH comp is starting. "Eliminator" - questions about those already eliminated. First buzzer eliminates another player, but if they're wrong they get eliminated. Zach eliminates Jen. Dustin eliminates Zach. Nick eliminates Kail. Jameka eliminates Nick. Dustin eliminates Jessica. Eric eliminates Amber. Eric eliminates Daniele. Eric got one wrong and got himself eliminated. It's down to Dustin and Jameka.

Dustin is the new HOH. This could be an interesting week, for sure!

Amber fixes her hair.

UM... folks... there's too much time left! Do you think it will be a double eviction week? Will he have to name nominees on the spot and there will be another eviction Sunday? There's too much time left!

Who do we want out of the house? Tell Eric who we want nominated.

Maybe I panicked on the time thing. It IS early for the HOH to finish ten minutes before the hour. Julie asks him what he thinks Joe would be feeling. Julie's just filling time. They apparently just loused up the timing of the show. No double eviction this week. Never mind my panic. ;-)

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds Report - Thursday 7/26 Pre-Show

Jackie's TV Blog, BB8, Big Brother 8

So, who will go home tonight? Well, if Eric has his (and America's) way, it will be Kail. However, Dick has been intent on Mike as a target this week. Tonight's voting is live once again, not taped.

Whatever the news, I'm ready! Graphic artist Zoetawny made us a new eviction graphic and I've uploaded part one and part two of Eric trying to convince the others that Kail must leave tonight (on YouTube).

I'll be live-blogging tonight's live show as it airs here on the East Coast. A new post will be up within a few minutes of the show's start and will constantly be updated throughout the hour. You're all welcome to join me in the comments area! Make sure you have snacks and beverages. This is a BYOB event!

If you're a So You Think You Can Dance fan, I won't be live-blogging it, per se. However I will write up the important events -- who's in the bottom groups -- and the boot as it airs here on the East Coast. Again, comments and reactions are always welcome!

Here are today's happenings from that Big Brother House of Nervous Nellies and Crying Ambers:
  • The anti-Nick sentiment in the house continues to grow. Well, not so much with Daniele, but with others. He's been snapping at people a lot and some think he's trying intimidation tactics.
  • Eric and Dick think that Dustin is trying to play nice with Kail to keep on her good side so he can play either side.
  • Dick told Daniele that everyone wants Nick out next week. She told him if she gets HOH, she won't put him on the block. They believe Dustin is the leak giving Kail information.
  • Most of the day was spent napping, housecleaning, and primping.
  • Jen told Amber that she had asked for a lot of things others in the house want in case she wins HOH -- a bible and such. (Wonder why the burst of thoughtfulness? She's gotta be up to something!)
  • As I post this, they're basically sitting around waiting for the live show to get started.

'Big Brother 8' - Into the Night Wed. Into Thurs. - 7/26

<--- Jessica munches a snack as she listens to Dick talk early in the morning. All she's doing is adding an occasional "yeah" or "right" into the conversation. Now, this is one dangerous player. Everyone in the house gets along with her.

Ah, but you want the goods on what's happened in that Big Brother House of Fickle Fate, eh?

Here you go:

  • Dustin told the HOH Group that he'd be voting out Mike because Kail is putty in his hands. Dick told him they all have to unite on a vote.
  • Dick thinks Kail would win if she made it to the final two. Dustin is sure she wouldn't.
  • Eric really, really went to work for the Vote Out Kail task. It's too bad that he came across to me like a used car salesman trying to get rid of a lemon.
  • Zach seems to be a bit put off as he wasn't invited to the 'pow-wow."
  • When Nick asked Dick why his daughter was so impossible, Dick said, "Look who you're talking to." Case closed, question answered!
  • Zach told Nick that he thinks Dick is getting scared. He also said he'd like to team up with Nick like Will and Boogie in the house. (Note: Zach has been trying to ally with Eric and others today, too.)
  • Nick said everyone is getting to him today. (And his temper fits prove it.)
  • Amber thinks there are only four good people in the house -- herself, Eric, Dustin, and Jameka. Um. Okay. Whatever!
  • Amber said she didn't know what being Jewish means. Jameka let her in on how there are different religions in the world.
  • Zach feels alienated by all.
  • Jessica doesn't think she's ever met a Jewish person before. (Do almost all of the houseguests live under a rock or what?)
  • Amber is siding with Eric on a Kail eviction, but Dick is still putting forth a Mike Out vibe.
  • Kail believes that whatever happens, it's in God's hands now. (I personally think He would have bigger issues on His mind.)
  • As I post this, there is still a group up in the HOH room -- Dick, Eric, Jessica, Jameka -- but nothing new or exciting in the way of strategy talk.

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds Report - Through the Day 7/25

<--- Mike sits alone in a pensive mood this morning.

Time is drawing to an end for either Kail or Mike. From popular opinion here in the comments on the blog, the viewers want Kail to be the one to leave. But, will that be the way it all goes down? I don't think so. Eric's doing his best to secure a Get Kail Out vote as his America's Player task. We'll know how it all works out tomorrow night.

In the meantime, here are the happenings from today inside that Big Brother House of Weepy Wilmas and Brazen Boys:
  • Amber told Jameka she thinks Dick is jealous when she talks to the other men in the house. (Whatever!)
  • Zach told Dustin that he and Dick scare him. Oh, boo!
  • Zach seemed to be trying to build some sort of alliance with the Scary Dustin and told him he plans on winning HOH tomorrow. Scary Dustin became Leery Dustin.
  • Dustin reported the Zach approach to Daniele. Daniele called Zach a weirdo -- to Dustin, not to Zach.
  • Mike told Dustin that he's the one who advised Kail to stick with her word and vote for Joe to stay. Mike said he reacted in the POV to prove he's a man of his word and can be trusted.
  • Mike really pleaded his own case to Dustin while not throwing Kail under the bus, so to speak. (Can we throw her under a train instead?)
  • Dustin reported the conversation with Mike to Nick (boy, Dustin gets around). Nick's response was along the lines of -- "He spoke? He hasn't lied, but it doesn't matter. He's not playing the game right. He's a mute."
  • Kail told Dick that most of the house thinks that Jen put the mustard on her own shirt. (I haven't seen that proved on the feeds -- Kail is the first I've seen thinking Jen did it.)
  • Mike told Eric he doesn't want to campaign against Kail, but he wants to stay in the game. His platform is kind of like the Boy Scout's pledge. Will it work? I dunno.
  • Dick got his HOH and they had fun with it. I'm sure Jen didn't like her photos. She had to run and change her shirt when Dick came out with the camera.
  • Dick and Amber argued because she wanted to take pictures with his HOH camera. Then they argued about Dick's relationship with Daniele.
  • And Amber cried.
  • Okay, she didn't, but I felt the need to say it.
  • Kail thinks Jen is treating her differently now. She told Eric the only ones she likes in the house this week are him, Jameka, Amber and Dustin. I'm sure it was an oversight that she left out Mike, her only friend in the house.
  • Eric really worked his America's Player task in the HOH. I took some video, but have to chop it down a bit or into two to put up on YouTube. I'll let you know when it's posted.
  • The core group of the "new alliance" -- Jameka, Amber, Dustin -- think Nick is out of control and is letting his temper get the best of him.
  • The concensus in the HOH group is still that Mike should go despite Eric's hard sell.

Later!

'Big Brother 8' - And Amber Cried, The Video

I created this slideshow/video of screen caps and Zoetawny art, and set it to "Driven to Tears" by The Police. Thankfully, it's not ALL Amber as I don't take that many screen caps of her!

Enjoy!

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds News Into the Morning Hours 7/25

Although the hamsters are still all asleep as I write this, there were a few happenings which went down in the wee hours before they conked out.

Now, I think this week's America's Player is going to put Eric at odds with the rest of the house. Those who watch the feeds know that Mike is the actual target this week although Dick wants to make Kail worry and squirm. On that basis, in order to complete the task, Eric would have to go with a "push Mike out" campaign.

But the viewers want Kail out, not Mike. They apparently voted to have him go for a Kail removal. He's trying, but I think we set him up for failure and quite possibly have thrown him into a vote which might jeopardize him down the road. I guess we'll see how it all goes down.

In the end of the night before bed Dick Show, Dick once again told us that the target this week is Mike and he should be going home. Dick also thinks it would take a miracle for him and Daniele to be the final two. (I think he's right there!) He thinks Nick was responsible for the mustard on Jen's shirt and pillow and was amazed that no one cried during the entire day (that he knows about). He also thinks that something is going on with Amber, but can't put his finger on it.

All hamsters in deep sleep right now... this is a screen cap I took of Kail last night. Kail and Nick both bite their fingernails too much. It skeeves me to watch someone constantly chewing their fingernails. Make them stop. I might have to cry about it!

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds Report - Tue. Into the Night Wed (7/25)

The houseguests play volleyball with the yard giraffe.

I wish I had a yard giraffe, don't you? Other kids may have a pony, but to have a giraffe...!

I'm sorry this is coming at you so late, but it covers the major events throughout the day on Tuesday into the wee hours of Wednesday morning from within that Big Brother House of You Done Did Me Wrong:
  • In the beginning of the day, Nick was called into the Diary Room and the audio remained on. BB was asking him if Dick's behavior was getting to the others in the house.
  • There's a group of houseguests still intent on burning to a crisp laying out on the backyard. They all want to be the darkest. Um. Okay, not my idea of a good time!
  • Dustin told Kail that Dick is pushing to get her out. He's apparently still playing to the plan -- the target is Mike and he knows it. Dick wanted everyone to act like Kail is still the target to mess with her gameplay.
  • Daniele and Dustin talked about previous seasons. Daniele hated Eric (Cappy) from season 6. (Well, she may be wiser beyond her years, eh?)
  • Amber loves the person she is today. @@ That confirms it. She is one odd duck. She'll cry again later.
  • Jen went on again to Amber about Kail being her "friend" for 19 days and never mentioning that she was in an alliance since the second day.
  • Eric found out about the nefarious doings of Nick and Dustin -- hiding his clothes piece by piece. Amber let it slip. While he said he'd get them back, I can't help but wonder if he might think that it has an America's Player kind of touch to it.
  • They're still having odor issues in the backyard. The ChenBat hasn't been seen, but I personally think one small dead bat in a yard couldn't cause that kind of smell. Perhaps a decomposing yard giraffe could.
  • Jen and Dick talked about sex. (Would that be oral if you just talk about it?)
  • In the evening they all chanted "beer" and BB gave them beer. Huh. I should try that with something more useful -- "good knee good knee good knee." Sigh. It doesn't work!
  • Dustin and Nick think Jen is spoiled, neither like her. What a surprise!
  • Daniele told Dustin that Kail told her she was going to give her all dirt on Nick in a heart-to-heart talk before she leaves.
  • Nick said, "Everyday Jen looks more like a transvestite." Well, yeah. An android transvestite!
  • They were talking about America's Choice (not that BB said anything -- they're just speculating). Amber thinks she's probably America's Favorite.
  • And Jackie cried. (In disbelief, of course!)
  • The guys played quarters beer game. Jameka was noticeably not playing.
  • Now they're playing volleyball as I get this posted.
What a waste of a day in the Big Brother house, huh? I haven't heard a mention of the voting yet, so I don't know if it will be taped on Wednesday or live on the live show Thursday. From the bits and pieces of game talk, it seems that Mike is still the target for eviction this week.

'Big Brother 8' - 7/24 Show Live-Blogged - East Coast Updates!

Jackie's TV Blog, BB8, Big Brother 8

Come one, come all! Put your Veto hats on and join the party. I'm live-blogging the show as it airs here on the East Coast.

Please join in with your thoughts and comments. And, please forgive any typos or misspellings as I'm watching TV with a keyboard on my lap not looking at the monitor.

So far, we're into the recap. Jen thinks everyone hates her and she could go home as easily as Kail.

Zach is ready to do his streaking through the backyard. This gave the entire house ammo to use against him. Heh. They're hiding inside from him and stole his towel.

Kail and Jen were talking about the guys being vulnerable in POV -- Mike and Zach, that is. Kail feels she HAS to win.

Kail tells Dick she's the most loyal, passionate, non-judgmental person. Dick cut her off and told her that she's not playing the game well. He said she'd have to get POV and everyone wants her out. She tells him Jen is after Daniele. He point-blank tells her that she went after him, she lied to him and won't stay unless she gets the veto.

Eric recieved his task and found out the target is Jen. He's thrilled to know that America hates Jen as muvh as he does. He put the mustard on her Jensa Member shirt which was on her pillow. As I mentioned in the feeds that Jen wasn't all that upset. Dang, Eric looks guilty to me!

Veto player picking time has arrived -- Kail wants to pull Mike's ball. Hey, no gutter minds! Zach, Nick and Jessica are the players in addition to the two nominees and HOH. Dick warns Kail he'll do anytiing he can to get her out of the game.

Dick meets Jen in the storage room and told her she needs to save herself because she tried to throw Jen under the bus. Then he told Kail that he told Jen about it in front of Jen. "You're a liar and you're going home. You were going to throw her under the bus and you're going home."

Kail is shaking and uncomfortable. (I think it's likely that Amber is off crying just thinking of the drama unfolding before her in the house.)

Time for the Veto Comp -- Eric is the Mad Hatter. They all have costumes. It looks like a Mad Hatter's tea party! They all have oversized hats, must stand on a pedastal with a glass balanced on their heads. Kail's out almost immediately, rips off her costume, goes to bed and cried.

Heehee! The other are all in costume jeering them. Daniele said the plan was to leave Dick up last. Jessica is out. Nick is out. This is a hoot. Oh, no... zuma, zuma! Jen and Dick remain. Dick is telling Jen she won't go home. It's a standoff! She wants a guarantee she won't go home and Dick's words just don't do it. Kail notices that all of the others are after Jen and only Mike was working on Dick.

Kail and Dick team up for a plan. Mike says it shows he's still loyal to her. Jen asked why he wouldn't want them up together on the block. Dick told her Mike was for another time, Kail was for now.

Now it's to the "I don't care if I go up" bit from Mike. Mike told him it's just a game, no big deal. Dick stepped down, threw his glass down and told Mike he's on the block. Jen wins POV.

Mike thinks it shows how loyal and trustworthy he is. Dick thinks it could be a ticket home for him and as bad as pulling a Marcellas. He had been safe ... before.

Kail is now looking pensive. She thinks that if Mike goes on the block, she';; lay low.

And Kail cries.

It's in God's hands and she will pray for protection. @@

The HOH room has been taken over by Nick, Zach and Jen. Nick got the others out. Dick asked Zach to stay out of the HOH room unless he's in there. Dick wants Amber to go evacuate the room and get the key back, but he ends up ding it. Dick told Nick the last thing he wants to see is Jen and Zach up there together. He tells us he thinks Nick, Jen and Zach are working together.

Nick tells him that he likes his daughter and it's messing with his head. Daniele interrupts, but Dick told her he's in a conversation.

Daniele tells Dick that every person in the house is mad. He's talking down to everyone in the house and it's not fair to her. Dick confronts her about the alliance with Nick and others. Now Daniele doesn't want to talk about it. "I won't hang out with him anymore!"

Gah!

Now Daniele pouts and Dick sullenly smokes. He approaches her. Dick told her he'd like to try family counseling after the show.

Dick goes to Eric and Jameka about his uneasiness with Nick.

It's time for Jen's decision. The JenBot (thanks ORKMommy!) shows she knows the game. She's playing a bit dumb. KAil said she didn't expect her to use it on her. Jen is actually kind of funny as she talks to herself about why she should save herself. Dick says he's going to do something unexpected...

"Daniele.... I'm going to nominate Mike."

Kail is more upset that Mike is there than Mike is.

America's Player - Who do you want Eric to get evicted from the Big Brother house?

(Yeah, like one vote is going to help, eh?)

Tonight, Tonight...

As I squeal my brakes coming home much later from work than I should be ...

I'll be live-blogging tonight's taped Big Brother 8 starting when it starts at 9 PM here on the East Coast. The post will continuously be updated throughout the hour. Everyone's welcome to drop on by, count how many times Amber cries and have at it in the comments!

Later tonight, I'll be posting the recap of the major feeds events of the day.

And Amber Cried rules!

Oh. Bring snacks and beverages, please!

'Big Brother 8' - G'morn' - Live Feeds - TV Squad -7/24

Jackie's TV Blog, BB8, Big Brother 8

Good morning, blog readers.

Please stop singing. ORKMommy, please put your mic on!

My latest full post can be found over on TV Squad. I'd love to read what you have to say about the happenings either here or there!

(As long as you don't sing because I haven't paid royalties to air the songs here.)

In addition to that entry, the "big" news overnight hasn't been all that big. Evel Dick and Eric discussed removing Nick from the game at length. Neither really trust him and Dick is very worried about Daniele's attachment to him within the house. She doesn't take his advice that the house versus the real world are two different things. They both think she would play the game better without Nick.

But of course, it's hard to figure out where Eric really stands on issues. He has a gift of being the clown and going with the flow no matter the situation or to whom he's speaking.

Nick and Daniele had words about their relationship... again.

Best person flying under the radar right now is Jessica. Everyone likes her. She's followed by Jameka who only seems to have Zach as a foe. Eric, Jameka and Dick think Nick and Zach should go on the block next week with Nick as the target. They feel Zach is annoying, but not a threat.

We'll see what the day brings. It's Mike and Kail on the block. Dick seems to be sticking to his plan - the target is Mike, but let Kail worry and moan to destroy her abilities in the HOH comp on Thursday.

'Hell's Kitchen' - A Quick Take on Episode 8

Hell's Kitchen
I know recaps are necessary, but why must they be narrated so dramatically?

Gotta love Ramsay's grimace for the opening scene, though. Rock likes to think he's in charge and he's quite possibly the most qualified one, but his personality does him in.

It's down to one team tonight with black and white jackets. Good. Um, okay... Ramsay squirts champagne at them in celebration. Who's going to clean up that mess, eh?

The first individual challenge is ready to go down. They're cooking for "trendsetters," but the twist is that they'll go to them. One hundred hungry high school students. Now, there's a crowd that's used to slop!

Rock is serving Kobe beef? I hope they're wealthy students! Julia is about the only one preparing what I'd call a traditional sort of dish. But it appears that they're not looking for something which could actually appear on a high school menu, so 51% of the kids voted forJulia. Heh. Practicality beats fancy!

She wins a trip to Las Vegas with Chef Ramsay and gets to choose one person to go with her. So, it's Jen and Julia. They took a private jet and saw the restaurant they may (probably not) be working in. They also visited last year's winner Heather at her restaurant.

The others get to clean the entire restaurant and linens. Josh doesn't know how to use a vaccum cleaner. Rocket scientists! After cleaning the three (Rock, Josh and Bonnie) had to prep for the service. As usual, Bonnie screwed up. After they did the prep, they sat around talking about Ramsay's idolation of Julia. I like her, but I don't see that at all. I think they're just sorry losers. She chose a menu that kids actually enjoy!

The five wannabes have to work together to serve the patrons tonight. Josh tried to get a head start, got yelled at. Rock burned his scallops, got yelled at. Josh got yelled at again. Bonnie actually cooked a Wellington right! Then it was Julia's turn to get yelled at. Josh kept trying to cook spaghetti ahead despite getting yelled at and his risotto is undercooked. Oh, no!

Ramsay kicked Josh out of the kitchen, telling him to take off the jacket. Will that be it for tonight? Will two go home? He packed his bags and left.

But the meal goes on.

Jen took over Josh's appetizer station and did well. But then Julia forgot the monkfish garnish. She's looking hassled and it shows in her performance. Poor Julia. "Rock has hit rock bottom." -- according to Ramsay. He lost his turbot, oh no!

Jen seems to be doing the best. Rock thinks the others are putting him down to make themselves look better. The guy has an attitude problem once again. He just won't stop. Jen snapped back at him, but I think Rock was the communication problem, not her.

They completed the service despite the fighting. Ramsay is discouraged due to the fighting. He said that Bonnie had her best service so far and it's up to her to pick two to nominate to be fired. Rock is pouting like a t-year-old boy. He's even crying, but it seems that he's more mad at himself for screwing up.

He seems to have an epiphany, but I can't help but think it won't last. Bonnie has real problems trying to decide which girl to put up with Rock. She's in a quandary, folks!

She nominated Rock and Julia because she's struggled on garnish and has a lot to learn on product.

Julia's gone, but Ramsay is a sweetheart to her. He's seniding her to culinary school and wants her to come back. He told her there's something amzaing about her. Good, he has a heart. I knew she wouldn't win, but I think she's one of the best PEOPLE there if not the best chef.

So, it's Bonnie, Jen and Rock as the final three. I know from the Internet spoilers who should win, but none of the three thrill me. Rock has temper issues and has indeed screwed up in the kitchen. He doesn't work well with a team. Bonnie hasn't the commerical experience and Jen tried to serve pasta she had thrown in the trash.

Send them all home next week and end the season early, I say.

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds Quasi-Bulletin

They're still talking about everything under the sun except the nominations. Kail and Mike were talking "as if" they're both on the block. Kail told him if she's gone next week and he's still there, not to trust Jen. Mike made a reference to himself possibly not being there next week ... she's to trust no one.

So, I'll go on a limb without concrete verification and say I believe it's Kail and Mike on the block with Jen removing herself.

Right now Dick's rehashing why he did what he did with Kail (regarding putting her on the block). Still nothing concrete, but I think I have it right.

I will correct/confirm this when I finally really hear an outright declaration.

UPDATE 6:51 PM ET: Still no outright declaration, but I see JokersUpdates and others are making the same call I did. So, I'm going to fly with it. ;-)

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds Report - Into the Day Mon. 7/23

Oh, no! Now Kail is pulling her hair out!

Okay, I lied. I just a negative kind of person, y'know. I'm so, like, not what, like, Jen wants in the house!

Amber cried.

Oh, wait. I started too soon. Here are the happenings from that Big Brother House of Vandals and JenBots:
  • Jen told Dick that he'd be her third choice to get out of the house.
  • Jen and Dick, while not working together by any means, do get along together much better than seen on the show.
  • Jen told Dick that in all of her time she spent with Kail, she can't trust her because she didn't tell her about the Mrs. Robinson alliance.
  • She also told him that Daniele, Nick, Dustin, and Amber are in an alliance ... which doesn't include him.
  • Jen accidentally tipped Dick off about her knowledge of the show. She's been telling everyone she never watched it, but made the mistake of talking to Dick about the coup d'etat last season. So, he's aware that she's smarter about the game than she lets on.
  • Dick wants to work with Jen, but she seems reluctant.
  • eric told Kail that people in the house think if they say something enough, it's the truth. ("My alliance betrayed me?" ;-) )
  • Eric's America's Player task was to vandalize something of Jen's. I'm not sure if they told him what to do, but I don't like this one. Not at all. He squirted mustard on one of her shirts which was on her pillow. Now, if he had taken the J off of one of her Jen hairbands or something, maybe that would be funny. But this is just nasty and mean. It's not MY America's Player task. Both the pillowcase and the shirt were damaged.
  • Jen didn't get upset. She just asked who was in second grade, thought it was "funny and weird."
  • Kail was upset about the prank.
  • No one can figure out who did the deed.
  • Dick (why doesn't he just stop) told Amber again she's playing the game too emortionally.
  • Amber cried.
  • Okay. She didn't. I lied again. It just seemed to fit well there.
  • After she talked to Dick, Kail came to her telling her she could tell her all about it. Amber didn't. Instead, she went to Jameka to talk about it, then to Dustin..
  • Jameka and Amber think Nick might have put the mustard on Jen's shirt.
  • Eric told them Nick was with him, so then they thought it was Dick.
  • Jen thinks it's weird that the Internet probably knows who did it, but not the houseguests who are right there.
  • The POV Ceremony has been held, but no one's saying anything about who's on the block. I'm giving up, getting this posted, and will post a bulletin when I hear something concrete. I can only think it's something which is no surprise -- which would lead me to think Mike or possibly Zach. I'll let you know when I know.

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds - Sunday Into Monday - 7/23

<---Amber whispers the evils of Evel Dick to Jameka in the wee hours.

The biggest event of the evening was Jameka's non-birthday. Her real birthday was Friday, but the house celebrated it yesterday. I have YouTube clips of the birthday party and her letter from home posted. Her family is very proud of her and I think they should be.

Here are the other newsy bits from that Big Brother House of Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters:
  • Amber has been trashing Dick to anyone who will listen -- from Dustin, to Eric, to Jameka and beyond.
  • Amber cried.
  • Eric said he got his nipples pierced because he was bored. (I guess that will wake a person up!)
  • Nick claims he doesn't need the money (the winnings), he doesn't like Zach and he fears that Daniele is playing him.
  • Amber cried.
  • Daniele said that Jameka said that the sequester house will be filmed this year. Shae and Amber are upset about the possibility, but I would love to see it. I don't know how true it is, though.
  • Dick told Jen that she had been safe when up on the block because all of the votes were going to be for Kail to go home. Jen said she doesn't care.
  • Although he knows nothing of Eric's America's Player tasks, Dustin has been pulling a prank on Eric on the side. He's taking an item or two of his clothing daily and hiding them in the storage room.
  • Nick is upset because he thinks Daniele doesn't trust him.
  • Amber cried.
  • Nick told the cameras he's not in an alliance with Jen and Zach -- he can't stand either of them.
  • Dick had words with Daniele and told her she can't go around telling people he'll evict them.
  • Daniele cried.
  • Daniele told Nick she was trying to help Dick. He comforted her.
  • Nick and Daniele flirted once again and cuddled.
  • Dick had an argument with Nick. He's really worried about her relationship with Daniele.
  • Amber and Eric had a "date." She fussed about Dick most of the date.
  • Kail is thinking that Zach will be going on the block instead of Mike. She's happy because it would be more likely that she'll stay in the house.
  • Dick has alienated many of his followers -- Amber, for one, just can't stop talking about him. He better be more careful! He's putting a target on his own back.

'Big Brother 8' - 7/23 Show Live-Blogged From the East Coast

Jackie's TV Blog, BB8, Big Brother 8

The show has started here on the East Coast. So far, it's still in a recap mode. This entry will be updated as the show airs, so please forgive any typos and misspellings. Feel free to jump with your thoughts on tonight's show! And, hi West Coasters...!

Kail doesn't think she's said anything personal to hurt Dick. @@

She confronts Mike, but he did tell her that he was changing it! We saw it, but I guess he didn't make it clear enough to her. She keeps telling us how cowardly and weak-willed the men in the game are.

Time for Dick's HOH room. You can tell he's thrilled. Aw, Daniele was such an adorable child in her picture! Amber cries about how beautiful the pictures are. Dick tells us he won't be in the room much as he wants to keep an eye on the Mrs. Robinson alliance. Kail spills the beans about being in an alliance with Nick and Zach. Dick points out that she's betraying her alliance.

Kail told Dick that she thinks he's going on a personal "vendenna" against her. Earlier on the feeds, Jen mentioned an aJENda, but at least she knows the difference!

Now Eric and Jen are wrestling. Eric is laughing so hard that he could do better, but then she nailed him. Right in the...!

Now they're talking Hot Five Guys and Nick's lisdt sounds a bit non-heterosexual. What a shock and a surprise! He tells us he's happy with his won sexuality. His list is guys he would date if he was gay. Daniele thinks he's just joking around. Yeah, right! He's telling her now how she has usurped his top five girls list. She tells us about her boyfriend.

Now they're airing the Dick/Daniele talk I told you about a few days ago -- the one in which she's upset about being torn between her boyfriend and Nick and wants to go home.

Dick is being so good with her. Why, he sounds fatherly even!

Now he's all teary-eyed telling us his reaction about her coming to him. He's talking to Dustin about it. Thankfully, Dustin is wearing NO shirt, not that awful v-necked grey one!

Ack, Jen is wearing her cut-down Jenitard. The girls are talking about the slop. They're not happy campers. Amber is crying about Jameka not liking to eat slop. Jen doesn't care because she hasn't been on it. Me, me, me!

The guys are pigging out. Dick set off Jameka when he mentioned starving kids in Africa and he thought she took it racially. She told him that she wanted to point out that Africa isn't the only place. She's very worried about being the only black person in the house and cried to him about it. Dick told her he loves her to death and all is okay. He is really understanding that she's in an unusual spot in the house.

Food comp time! Mission Inpastabowl. Two giant slides to slide into giant bowls of pasta. Earning for the entire house. Buried in the bowls are meatballs, pairs of HG must find matching meatballs and bring them to the scoring station to win that food item for the week.

They only have five minutes. Halibut. Dessert. Sweetbreads... Jessica thinks it's any kind of bread that tastes good and isn't normal bread. @@

Eggs. BBQ grill. Bananas. Lobster tail. Chicken. Cucumbers... Jen and Kail got, the others not happy. Beer. Juice. Chips. Cereal. Then they had a huge pasta fight. Heh... Daniele didn't know what sweetbreads are, either. Dick announced that it's cow pancreas. I prefer to call them variety meats.

It's time for Eric's America's Choice. He wants it to be Kail or Jen. We chose Jen, so he campaigns to Dick. He's pushing the "Jen tried to break up you and Daniele" point of view... he's optimistic.

Oh. My. God. Kail is ignorant of real life. She asked Dustin if Robin of Batman and Robin and Barney the Dinosaur are gay. Does this woman live under a rock or what?

Zach is talking to Dick. Dick tells him he knows all about him. Zach is doublespeaking now. Dick points out that he can never trust him. Zach tells up he won't betray Dick. Hmmm... (I also find it a bit disturbing that she's talking about fictional characters as if they're real and thinks Dustin knows them on a personal level or something. How odd is that?)

Now it's time for Nick to talk to Dick; he spills the entire beans on the alliance (Mrs. R) from the second day. Now Dick tells us he has worries that Nick is playing Daniele. Dick says the "I'll kill you" if you're playing her line that I told you about a few days ago.

America's Player -- Eric is a secret vandal this week. Whose property should he covertly target?

Nomination time. Kail has that pinched look on her face. Dick tells them it's about lies, deception, scheming, breaking up alliances, and the people who tried to get him out...

Key order:
Happy birthday Jameka, Jessica, Amber, Eric, Daniele, Dustin, Nick, Zach, Mike. On the block are Kail and Jen. Dick says he nominated Jen because she put him on the block. Kail lied to him and tried to deceive him. He'll do anything he can to make sure she goes home. She nodded her head no as he said she lied. "You can shake your head as much as you want. You lied to me."

Jen doesn't feel like she's nominated. But it's all about her, right?

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds Report Into Sunday Afternoon 7/23

Jackie's TV Blog, BB8, Big Brother 8

Graphic arteest Zoetawny nailed this one on the head. Kail has been literally shattered since last Thursday night!

It's to the point that almost every time she speaks, I expect her to rehash her anti-Dick diatribe.

Oh, quit it, Kail. I so much thought she was going to be a favorite of mine this season. I was so, so wrong. Jen talked about the most negative people in the house. She should put Kail up there as Number One!

Here are today's events and gleaned information so far from inside that Big Brother house of Dashed Dreams:
  • Jessica's brother is in Iraq, expected home later this month.
  • Late last night, BB told the HG they couldn't play dodgeball anymore because the balls were wet and doing damage. Dick bears the bruises today.
  • Kail pouted.
  • Zach streaked. The others found it a bit lacking.
  • Dick hasn't been sleeping in the HOH room. He's been letting just about everyone else sleep in there.
  • Eric thinks Nick is flirting with Dustin.
  • Apparently Joe told many people not to trust Nick before he left the house.
  • Dick doesn't seem to want to be the one to put Nick on the block. Eric, if he wins, should put him up. Jameka thinks Nick should be backdoored out.
  • Kail cried.
  • Dick told Jessica he has her back in the game.
  • For the most part, with the exception of Mike getting up early and then falling asleep in the yard and Kail sitting with a sour look on her face while sighing, the others slept until past 11 AM their time (2 in the afternoon here).
  • Kail fussed about Dick. Again. Rinse and repeat throughout the day.
  • Nick told Amber that he'd rather have Kail in the sequester house than Jen or Zach.
  • The plan to get rid of Mike instead of Kail seems to be well... the plan. Of course, Dick hasn't put him on the block yet, so it's kind of like counting your chickens before they're hatched. Things have been known to change within 24 hours in the house.
  • Amber was sick late at night, they think it was the eggs... or the artificial eggs, it seems.
  • Dick tried to warn Daniele to beware of Nick. She didn't really listen.
  • Then Daniele cried leaving Dick to say he never knows how to approach her. He later told Jameka that's how the whole estrangement started. She gets upset when he tries to talk to her, then they both get mad at each other.
  • Amber thinks Kail hates Zach and that Dick is on a power trip.
  • Daniele told Amber that since Dick never really was a parent to her, he shouldn't talk down to her and act like a parent just when he feels like it.
  • Jameka tried to give sage advice to Dick about dealing with Daniele.
  • Kail fussed about Dick more.

And that's the way it's been going. I'll be live-blogging tonight's show as it airs here on the East Coast if you wish to join in with comments -- I'd love to read your thoughts!

Latest is up on TV Squad!

My latest post is up on TV Squad. Keep in mind that it was actually written this morning, but it contains some events I haven't discussed here!

I'm still waiting for something interesting to happen before giving you the latest here. These hamsters need to mix it up a bit! Sheesh.

'Big Brother 8' - And, Now in the House...

Kail is exercising with Jen. They both will eat healthy today with the exception of a small piece of Jameka's birthday cake later on. The only game talk was Kail rehashing her Dick Whines at Mike who didn't seem to be very interested.

'Big Brother 8' - In the House RIGHT NOW...!

Kail is sitting in the backyard moping as planes fly overhead. The rest are all still asleep.
In order for me to report on the happenings, there really needs to be something going on!

It Must be the Pants! - This Week on 'The Late Show with David Letterman' - July 23-27

Late Show with David Letterman
It's gotta be the pants! I'm talking Worldwide Pants, of course. We have another week of all new shows ahead of us. One of these years I'm going to take a count of how many weeks off Dave actually takes. Of course, when he started out, the show only aired four days a week. Now it's on for five, but if memory serves, they double up on the filming one day a week, so he still really works only the four days a week.

Here are the guests we can expect to see this week on the show:
  • Monday, July 23: Drew Carey (Power of 10), Nikki Blonsky from Hairspray, the new version. Musical guests are Grinderman with a self-titled CD out on the market.
  • Tuesday, July 24: Paul Rudd (The Ten - not to be confused with The Power of ...), Indianapolis Colts Head Coach Tony Dungy, musical guests The National whose CD is Boxer.
  • Wednesday, July 25: Catherine Zeta Jones promoting No Reservations, comedian Bob Sarlatte, musical guest Porter Wagoner (CD is Wagonmaster).
  • Thursday, July 26: Sharon Osbourne lately of America's Got Talent and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
  • Friday, July 27: Anne Hathaway (Becoming Jane), Jim Gaffigan of My Boys, musical guest Buffalo Tom (CD is Three Easy Pieces).

In an unrelated trivia note -- On Thursday, July 26, Mick Jagger will be 64 years old. Oh, my. That's scary.

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds News - Saturday, July 21

Yes, you're right. This isn't a Big Brother image, not at all. It's a photo of the Flatiron Building in Manhattan which I shot earlier this afternoon. As you can see, it was a stunningly gorgeous day in NYC!

Oh, but I'm really here to tell you about the events of the day in the Big Brother House of Bad Decisions and Those Who Make Them:
  • Kail cried on and off, sometimes more on than off. Dick tried to comfort her by telling her he didn't mean to make her miserable, he just wanted her out of the house. (Yeah, that's comforting!)
  • Shortly after the HG were blasted with Queen music, they were told it would be two hours until the POV competition.
  • The veto players and the ones chosen were Kail, Jen, Dick, Jessica, Zach, and Nick. Kail seemed to want a redo on Zach being chosen.
  • Eric hosted the event and wore a Mad Hatters costume.
  • Nick and Dick talked. The tides seem to be changing once again. Instead of Kail being the target, both think that Mike is more of a danger.
  • Kail thinks everyone in the house is scared of Dick.
  • Kail wants the house to target Zach. (I'm sure he's on the list. I think everyone in the house sees through the flying monkey man.)
  • The Jenstermatic won the power of veto.
  • Something happened between Dick and Mike in the comp. At one point, Dick asked Mike if he wanted to go on the block. When Mike said he didn't care, Dick let Jen have the win. (Remember, the feeds are blocked for the comp and we only get bits and pieces as the HG talk afterwards.)
  • Kail is upset. This time because Dick must have admitted he lied about something during the veto comp. Since part of why Joe went was the lying, this is a new fresh matter for her to focus on.
  • Amber cried.
  • Jameka told Kail she's her own worst enemy with her behavior.
  • In Kail's mind, she thinks that Dick will put up a popular pawn in Jen's place to make sure she's evicted.
  • Dick is now testing people. @@ He says that if Zach knows that he's going up next week, then Nick is the leak.
  • Dick said Kail betrayed her "best friend" Jen by campaigning against her last night to him.
  • Dick talked to Amber and Jameka. The plan is to put Zach up and make him the target, yet Kail stay under the assumption that she's going home so she'll be flustered for the HOH comp.
  • Jameka mentioned backdooring Jen in due time.
  • Dick thinks Jen and Nick faked not liking each other to cover an alliance. He told Amber his thoughts.
  • Dick told Jen that she wasn't his target. Duh. We knew that. I'm sure she did, too.
  • Nick and Daniele think Dick is talking to Kail way too much.
  • Jessica suggested that Kail threw the POV, doing so poorly so it makes her look weaker than she really is.
  • Kail thinks Nick is as bad as Zach, but has charm and is better-looking.

As I post this, it's a given that Jen will use the POV to save herself. She'd be stupid not to do so. I still contend that she's not as stupid at the game as she has been acting. While Dick indicated that he would put Mike up in her place, in the past he said Zach. I can see him putting Mike up because, in the long run, he's probably more of a threat. He's so quiet and in the background that he's a bit of an unknown. Zach, on the other hand, is too well known and would probably go home whenever put up for eviction.

Who do you think should go in Jen's place for eviction?

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds BULLETIN - POV 7/21

I'm back from the city and Jen won the Power of Veto. I'll be posting a full entry later tonight with more details, but you can feel free to join in on the conversation with fellow blog commenters in this post.

Thank you for keeping the information flowing, guys! Er, ... gals. I appreciate it!

Good Morning, Houseguests and Blog Readers! 7/21

Okay, I lie. They're all asleep right now. Not all that much has happened since I last posted. My latest update for TV Squad is in the publishing queue and can be found here a bit later today.

The NYC Blog Event is still going on today. If you're in the area, we're talking City Bakery (the one featured on Sex In The City) - at 2-4 PM. That's located at 3 West 18th Street between 5th and 6th. I have long red hair, most likely it will be pulled back to keep it from blowing all over. It may stand to say I could very well be the only older woman with long, long red hair pulled back in the place ... even if it's NYC. I'll be wearing a black Slaughtered Lamb Pub t-shirt. There, I should be the only one doing that!

I will not be dressed as a Harry Potter character although the city was full of them yesterday. I kept seeing witches, unrelated ones not in groups, as I sat eating facing the street yesterday. I know anything can happen in NYC, but I found it a bit odd until we went by the big Barnes and Noble store. Sure ... we pick a date that coincides with the biggest book release in history!

Oh, I'll have to tell you how blog reader Sydney risked our lives with the potato chip bag hand man later...

So... who do YOU want gone? Jen or Kail? You can choose only one, mind you!

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds, Playing Catch Up - Into the Evening 7/20

Sure... I turn on the feeds and this is what I get...

(For those who can't run the video, it's zuma, zuma, thump, thump...)

In a brief rundown of the more important news from today in the Big Brother House of What's That You Say, Mrs. Robinson, Your Alliance Has Left And Gone Away:
  • The nominations didn't happen until late this evening (my time, their time it was only around 6 PM) and, as I briefly posted, Dick put Jen and Kail on the block. Although this was one of the latter happenings, I'm putting it here first due to um... priorities! Keep in mind that until you read differently, the following events took place before the nomination ceremony.
  • Kail told Mike that Jen told her that Zach outed the Mrs. Robinson alliance to her (Jen).
  • Kail is worried, all alone in the world and her expressions range from deer in the headlights to uncomfortable to depleted.
  • The HG told Jen they're sick of seeing the unitard.
  • It's Jameka's birthday.
  • The food comp wasn't shown on the feeds, but seems to be one in which they played for various food groups.
  • Dick and Daniele had a talk in which he told her if Nick is playing his daughter, he'll kill him. She giggled and Nick told Dick he's not playing her. We'll see.
  • Daniele gave Dick a lot of speech advice. He listens to her.
  • Dick told Nick that if he puts both Jen and Kail on the block, that will divide them and Zach will "jump ship."
  • Zach, trying for Dick's favor, told him of the $50,000 deal he has going with Nick. Whichever of the two win the game will give the other the money. Dick reminded him that's against the rules.
  • Zach kept spilling beans on everyone in the house to Dick.
  • Dick told Amber that Zach told him he knew they were in a secret alliance -- Amber, Dustin, and Dick. Dick wants her to distance herself some and not blow his game. She cries.
  • The nominations go down, so from this point it's after Jen and Kail know they're nominated.
  • The HG got a grill.
  • Kail kept away from the group, so Dick checked in on her. As she went on and on about her failed alliance, he told her every move she had made was wrong beginning with making an alliance on the second day.
  • Dick said Jen needs a personality transplant and is merely a caricature of herself. He doesn't view her as a threat, nor does anyone else. He believes that's why Kail will be voted out.
  • Kail was so sure she'd do well in the game that she already had her Final Two speech prepared.
  • Kail is crushed.
  • The others play zuma, zuma...

Two, two, zuma, zuma, (thump), (thump)...

'Big Brother 8' LATE Live Feeds News - Noms...

I know I'm posting this late, but I've been gallivanting in Manhattan with blog commenter Sydney.

It's all her fault, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

The nominees are (drumroll, please) ... exactly the ones Dick said would be on the block -- Kail and Jen.

Latest on TV Squad

My latest blog entry is up over on TV Squad. Joyous noise, please! :-)

(Go read it -- it's not the same as I post here!)

Merci, beaucoups!

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds and Stuff - Into 7/20 Morning

Jackie's TV Blog, BB8, Big Brother 8

While my favorite graphic arteest Zoetawny seems to think Evel Dick (or ED to his friends) is torn between a Kail and Jen ouster, I think it's purely Kail going home which is on his mind. He's told her on the feeds that he'll be putting her on the block.

He has said he's putting both Jen and Kail up, but I'm wondering if he might change his mind about Jen. His target is Kail and having Jen there might confuse the issue as she's disliked, too.

Before I get into the latest from inside the house, I want to thank blog reader ORKMommy for mentioning the latest HOH Diary entry from Jen on the CBS website. I hadn't been there yet although it was on my list. Oh, my. It's "histarical" as Jen would say!

Here's the news from that Big Brother House of Kail Scrambling to No Avail:
  • Kail is still harping on being betrayed by Nick and Zach although they clearly tried to steer her away from the Joe Stay Campaign and never told her they would vote for Joe to stay -- all but came out and blatantly said the opposite.
  • Kail doesn't have the same feeling about Mike although she personally confronted him to ask why he didn't tell her he was changing his vote. Now, that's delusional. I posted a YouTube clip on my last TV Squad article in which Mike told her he was going to vote for Dick to stay!
  • Kail told Dick she no longer has an alliance... she's all alone in the game. (She was all alone when she went on her vendetta against Dick!)
  • Dick told Kail that even if she wins POV, one of her alliance is going home. Well, perhaps that should be one of her "past-tense alliance."
  • In his HOH basket, Dick got Cherry Garcia Ben & Jerry's ice cream as well as another kind, Guinness stout, a Ramones CD, several photos (which he adored) and put off reading the letter from his mother as he thought he might get emotional.
  • Once he read the letter, he shared it with everyone. He was thrilled with it! She said that it was hard watching him, but he was learning and growing.
  • Dick told the crowd in his HOH Room that they all had free passes for the week, they knew who he was nominating and that he wants Kail to go home. Everyone was present except Kail and Jen.
  • The crowd watched Kail on the spy screen and Dick said, "Instant karma. You reap what you sow." (Now, it's not all a spool of lies, is it?)
  • Dick said he will be putting up Jen and Kail. We'll see.
  • Jen finally took off her stupid Jenitard and put real clothes back on.
  • Dick told Daniele that they have to be careful about seeming to be too close -- at some point they'll need to have a fake argument so folks will think they're not a team.
  • He warned her to be careful of Nick and what she says to him.
  • Dick told Daniele that Jen isn't as dumb as she thinks she is.

So, that's just about it. It's certain Kail is going on the block and she's the target. Dick says he'll be putting Jen up there with her, but I'm not so sure on that being a done deal. And, Kail is freaking out. She's all alone in the game. Too bad, so sad -- had she not tried to be the dictator of her alliance and had actually abided by their wishes, she wouldn't be on the hot seat now.

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds After the Live Show 7/19

The reaction in the new HOH room for Dick was so much nicer than Jen last week. Dick was actually happy with his photos, letter from his mother, music and snacks... and beverages!

BB gave the houseguests the Off of Slop Finally Feast, so the women had tasty food.

As expected, Kail is freaking out. As I type this, she just got through lying to Dustin and Amber. She said it wasn't a personal vendetta against Dick, it was for her alliance! They all shook hands on the vote! (No, they didn't!) She told them without saying names that two of her alliance developed their own secret alliance. @@

Kail is sure that Dick will put her and Mike on the block. I personally think he'll feel he has to put her up for betraying him. The second is a wild card. Could be Mike. Could be Jen. All I know for sure is that it won't be Daniele.

Nothing too exciting except a frantic Kail trying to defend her actions. If she had listened to her alliance in the first place when they wanted Joe out, she wouldn't be in this predicament.

'So You Think You Can Dance' - Live Results Show 7/19 East Coast Updates

Now, this won't be AS involved as my Big Brother post, but I'll be updating the important happenings on tonight's show. Return as often as you wish to see the updated entry.

Sabra and Dominic and Danny and Anya are on the stage. One couple is bottom three.

Sigh... Danny and Anya are bottom three... again. I like Dominc and Sabra, but why? Danny is superb!

Jaimie and Hok, Sara and Pasha are on the stage now. Hok and Jaimie are bottom three. Although I love Hok, I'm so happy for Pasha!

Now it's Lauren and Neil and Lacey and Kameron on stage. Lauren and Neil are bottom three.

Jason Samuel Smith, a guest star, is tap dancing. He's reminding me of the guy on The Apollo who dances people out. Same guy? Anyone know? Forget it. I know where I know him from. He was in Bring in Da Noise, Bring in Da Funk -- I saw that some time ago.

Mia Michaels and Wade were nominated for Emmys for their SYTYCD work.

Anya is dancing to Tina Turner -- way energetic. Danny is up -- this guy is so gorgeous when he dances. Jaimie is up, nice. Lots of effort and technically difficult. Hok's on, doing his B-boy stuff. Amazing. It's Lauren on stage now. Better than me for sure, but she can go and I on't be heartbroken. Now it's Neil. Probably more versatile than Hok in a lot of ways, but I want Hok to stay! (Though I think the judges may eliminate Hok tonight because he hasn't been doing well with other styles.)

Enrique Iglesias is singing now as the judges make their decision.

The girl vote isn't unanimous. Anya is going home. The decision on the males was unanimous -- Hok is gone, as I thought. Sigh.

'Big Brother 8. - Live Blogging the Live Eviction Show 7/19

<--- Nick does his nail-biting thing just before the live show. The show is starting here on the East Coast. This entry will be updated throughout the show as I watch. Please forgive any typos or mispeelings. ;-)

The recap is over, but first... more recap! This time it's Daniele's POV Ceremony and being replaced by Joe. Into the reactions of Joe and thoughts about reactions to Joe being put on the block against Dick. Joe is talking to Kail and Jessica. Jessica doesn't trust Joe.

Eric chose the envelope and thanked us for wanting Joe out. Slam dunk, he says! Kail's thoughts of saving Joe have started. It's the kitchen confrontation with Dick against Kail. See? I told you he handled it calmly!

Now Julie is talking to the houseguests. She's talking about Amber crying. Magnus and Cragnus, Nick and Mike, are being questioned. Julie's talking to Jen -- "You've taken the uni out of unitard."

We're going to get to meet Nate, the person who came between Dustin and Joe.

More HG reaction to Dick and Joe in DR segments. Heh, Jameka is leaning towards Dick eviction, but I know different!

Julioe is talking to Jen about what my be her favorite topic... herself. Jen says Dick might be a lot like her. Now to the photos talk... she's fussing once again about her Memory Wall photo. Did you nominate Daniele out of jealousy? No, attitude.

Live vote coming...

Joe tells them that it's time to take action and keep their word. Dick hopes to stay because he's been so shy and introverted so far.

The votes are:

Dustin -- Evict Joe
Daniele - Evict Joe
Eric - Evict Joe --you can't spell America without Eric. ;-)
Amber - Evict Joe

But, first... commercial break.

Kail - Evict Dick
Jameka - Evict Joe
Mike - Evict Joe!
Nick - Evict Joe
Jessica - Evict Joe
Zach - Evict Joe

9 to 1, Joe is evicted!

:::doing my Snoopy dance here:::

Joe meets up with Julie and they're all hugging in the house. Kail is standing by herself looking uncomfortable. Joe says Dustin's arrival threw his game off. Julie wonders if it was smart to play the way he did. Julie spills the beans on America's Player. Eric in a pre-taped segment tells Joe about the bed ploy.

Dick in his goodbye, see ya. Kail the only nice one so far. Jessica nice goodbye. Zach a nice goodbye. Jen's is more about herself -- if you're their I failed. Dustin says he's not the same person, take care of yourself.

HOH comp is next, so it looks like Jen's mom backed out.

Comp is called "Getting Schooled" - welcome back to high school. Classroom subjexts as they pertain to their time in the BB House.

Dustin out. Jameka, Eric, Zach and Jessica out. Kail out! Amber and Nick out. It's down to Dick, Daniele, and Mike. Going to a tiebreaker round. Same number rules as usual. Round nearest hour -- how long has Jen had her unitard.

DICK IS THE NEW HOH! Vindication, baby!

America's Player - who must Eric work to get nominated for eviction? If we tell him Kail, he'll complete it!

'Big Brother 8' - Pre-show Live Feeds

The feeds have been blocked for most of the afternoon, but came on a while ago. The latest?

Kail, Jen, and Joe are bullying Nick and Zach (individually). That firms up Nick's conviction. He met with Zach in the gym. He said he's definitely voting for Joe to leave. Zach didn't actually verbally commit, but indicated he is, too. Nick says the votes will be Amber, Dustin, Daniele, Eric, Zach and himself minimum for a Dick stay, Joe go vote.

Oops: An added note -- during our feedblock, one of the things they do is take a trial run through the HOH comp so they don't screw up the timing on live television. They're not supposed to talk about it, but one wondered if all the HOH comps are going to be "fast" like this one. No one is studying anything.

UPDATE -- Jameka just told Joe that she will be voting for Dick to stay. She said it was (at least partially) due to his side lying and she can't abide by lies. She
had told him before that she would tell him her vote just before the show... she did.

<--- The HG sit around awaiting the live show. Most of them, anyway. Screen cap from about 7:42 PM ET.

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds Bulletin - The Absolute Latest!

Most of the houseguests are primping or cleaning house before their big live show tonight.

Today has been a bit uneventful for the most part with one big whammy of news.

Shortly after waking up the HG, BB locked them all in the HOH room. This was one of the most boring things ever on the feeds. Most slept, some primped... no one talked!

When they were finally let out, BB has the theme music piped into the house for them and we've been through a mix of trivia with audio, trivia with theme music, and actual audio and video.

Here's the big news:

Nick told Mike that Joe told him that he planned to put Kail and Mike on the block if he stayed in. It appears that Mike has now changed his vote and will be voting along with Nick and Zach to vote Joe out.

Kail and Mike were talking in the storage room...

K: "So, I should keep my word to vote out Dick even if it's a 9-1 vote?"
M: "Yes."

So there you have it.

'Big Brother 8' - The Latest TV Squad and Stuff!

Hi folks! I hope that we'll be seeing a Joe eviction tonight on the live show. I'll be here live-blogging the show at 8 PM ET as it airs here in the NYC area. Of course, those reports come through complete with typos and all, but...! I'll also be posting a live East Coast Update on the boot episode of So You Think You Can Dance when that follows tonight's Big Brother 8 show.

My latest feeds update is available over at TV Squad, in this post in particular. It includes a very telling YouTube clip.

After the hamsters get going for the day, I'll update you on the happenings. I don't expect today to be very eventful on the feeds, but you never know.

'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds Into the Evening - 7/18

<-- Zoetawny's take on the Jenitard. Whateva! (Thanks, Zoetawny!)

I must say the tail and ears are a nice touch.

I still don't have a clue why the voting is live on tomorrow's show. Since they'v been in this format, I can't recall live on show voting while the numbers are so high. It's usually something reserved for when the first jury member gets voted out.

Oh, well. It gives them an extra day to scheme and backstab, right?

Here are the events into Wednesday evening from that Big Brother house of Ubiquitous Ãœber-Alliances:
  • They played dodgeball, a game they play every day or two. Yawn.
  • Jen complained about the pictures she received in her HOH gift basket... again.
  • Jen made her HOH Blog entry today for the official website. I'll be curious to see if she knows how to spell. ;-)
  • Joe thinks his votes to stay are Kail, Jameka, Mike, Nick, and Jessica.
  • Of those, Nick will most likely vote for Dick to stay; Jameka and Jessica are on the fence. Oh. Joe has Mike and Kail!
  • Kail put a guilt trip on Joe about digging herself into a hole if he doesn't stay this week.
  • Jameka told Kail she should play the game in a way which makes her proud and not lie because it will affect her integrity.
  • Jameka, once again, refused to tell her voting decision to anyone.
  • Kail went on about Dick "threatening" her in the kitchen. Jameka told her at least Dick was honest with her and that she should refocus her attention. Focusing solely on Dick would destroy her own game. She also told Kail that most of the other people in the house didn't feel the same way about Dick as she (Kail) does.
  • Joe tried to campaign to Jameka. She told him he doesn't have the votes to stay. Jameka told him she can't stand lies and can't live in the house with them.
  • Jen told Joe he must stay up all night working with the backyard crew for votes.
  • Jameka made up a question game and several in the yard (including Joe and Dick) played.
  • Eric burnt a pizza and Daniele slopped her slop all over the microwave. (Where's Gordon Ramsay when you need him?)
  • Kail and Jen headed to the HOH room where they figured out that Joe won't have the votes to stay.
  • As I get this out to you, Jen is trying to convince Zach to vote for Joe to stay. I don't think it will work.
