BB23: Power of Veto Show Blog Party - Sept. 8

Good evening! Welcome to the party! Tonight's show is promised to feature the return of ZingBot. Oh, joy. I personally don't care for ZingBot as I often have a hard time hearing exactly what he's trying to say as the voice used is so whack. So, if I can't gather all the zings for tonight's post, I apologize.

I will be live-blogging and updating this entry with the major events as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest news! As this is a show post, it's a NO SPOILERS ZONE until aired on the show, please! The real party is in the comments area. You're all invited to join in on the fun!

Sitting through the "Previously on" segment.

We pick up the action as the Nominations Ceremony adjourns. Tiffany says to us that Alyssa will head out the door. Alyssa thinks she and Xavier were nominated because they are so strong. She has no idea that she is the actual target. Xavier is mad, whining about being on the block for a third time ... again.

Xavier is acting like he is the target to Alyssa. He once again fusses that Tiffany and Claire should be on the block, not him and Alyssa. Tiffany tells us that she does not want Alyssa to come off the block because then she would have to choose between Claire and the Cookout. Derek lies to Alyssa telling her he would use the veto to save her if he wins it. (Like he wins so many comps!)

Xavier complains to Derek that he's been throwing comps and making sacrifices, being such a team player. He tells him that he would save Alyssa instead of himself if he wins veto. Derek is worried that he himself would be put on the block as a renom.

A segment on Azah's singing -- her own songs, nothing copyrighted. The singing has been fun on the live feeds this season and I'm glad they're showing a bit of it.

Time to pick players for the veto comp. Tiffany draws Houseguest's Choice and goes for Hannah. Xavier draws Derek. Alyssa draws Azah. Derek tells us if he wins he will keep noms the same.

ZingBot arrives and tells them to go to the backyard. He's up on the ledge. He calls them a bunch of losers. Alyssa -- From FL, the sunshine state but you're so dim. Xavier -- reveal your secret you have a crush ... on yourself. Cracks on Tiffany for being old. Bigfoot comment for Claire. Hannah -- Knock knock who's there? Hannah who. Exactly. Big D - Big mark on the house ... in the toilet. Predicts Xavier will never go on a date with Azah. Kyland -- listening to you talk is like sitting by an endless babbling brook.

ZingBot is now a Zingfluencer and has an online platform. They have to help him go viral. Zingstagram challenge stacking micro-cocktails in a pyramid using tweezers. They have to do it from outside a dollhouse-like structure. We've seen similar comps in the past. Kyland and Claire are watching on the living room monitor.

ALYSSA WINS THE POWER OF VETO! She gets a tiny veto bracelet instead of the usual necklace. Tiffany is upset. Xavier is gleeful and smug.

Derek is once again bummed he didn't win. Xavier remains smug. Derek is worried that a Cookout person will go up, especially the "boys" in danger -- him, Kyland. Xavier is going on about how she has lost jury votes.

Tiffany feels she has to tell Claire and tells Hannah. She tells us her personal game choice would be to keep Claire. She has to tell her that she will be using her as a replacement without completely misleading her or endangering anyone else (Cookout). Xavier doesn't like the idea of how Tiffany would be all but exposing the Cookout. He fears Alyssa will catch on and target him.

Yes, it's all about Xavier, y'know. Did you know he's been on the block three weeks in a row? (Once by a roulette wheel spin by his precious Alyssa who was originally with Christian and once his OWN CHOICE because he wanted to win a veto he didn't need to win!)

Tiffany tells us she respects Claire and wants to be as honest with Claire as she can without exposing the Cookout. She lists the Cookout members by each saying she doesn't want to send them out and Claire guesses that she will be put on the block. Tiffany cries. She is hinting that it's not sending a Black person home. Claire cries. They both cry. I'm ready to cry. Claire says in the DR to us that she understands that Tiffany doesn't want to be part of the long BB tradition of sending people of color out the door.

Time for the veto meeting. Alyssa saves herself. Tiffany replaces her with Claire. Sigh.

BB23: Live Feeds into Tuesday Evening - Sept. 7

Lays about almost as much as Derek does!

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Annoying Aardvarks:

  • Yes, I did not post an update this morning.
  • No, not really because of me.
  • It was because of them. If they don't entertain me, I have nothing to post!
  • They just didn't give me much fodder.
  • Before the veto meeting there was a bit of talk about convincing Alyssa to use the veto to save Xavier instead of herself.
  • After they stopped laughing, they dumped that idea.
  • The feeds were blocked for a big Labor Day Cookout (not to be confused with the Cookout and I bet it was nowhere near as good as a real Black cookout).
  • Tiffany and Kyland seemed to be messing around under covers.
  • Oh my.
  • Claire has recovered from the shock of Tiffany putting her up thanks to Tiffany's talk with her beforehand.
  • It does appear that Claire might have two votes -- probably Hannah and Azah.
  • If they could swing Kyland in, they could save her.
  • But that won't happen.
  • Xavier is still ticked about Tiffany and, if he has his way, she will be the first Cookout member out.
  • Derek has been riding Xavier's coattails and seems to have taken on the role of Xavier's consigliere.
  • He's acting like he has done so much and he's in actuality done very little.
  • In front of Derek, Alyssa pointed out that after Claire goes, all that will remain is POC (she's Latina). Derek had to stifle a laugh. He didn't tell her to look around and see WHAT color they were.
  • They have all been expecting a double eviction soon and have been planning. But they don't know how soon it will actually be!
  • That's about all I have for you.
  • Blame them.

Obviously, I am destined to be the winner.

The girls like me better!

"Once Claire goes, it will all be people
of color here!" Um. Look around.

Still has them guessing his real job.

I'd like to return to BB and play with Claire!

Promised to vote for Tiffany if
she makes the final two.

BB23: Live Feeds Power of Veto Bulletin - Sept. 6

The veto meeting was held today. As expected, Alyssa chose to save herself and took herself off the block. Also, as expected, to replace her, Tiffany put Claire on the block.

The nominees are Claire and Xavier.

BB23: Live Feeds into Monday Morning - Sept. 6

Getting a bit too controlling I say!

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Cracks in the Cookout:

  • But first ... I want to grouse a bit about the aired show editing. How come they are intent on editing Derek and Xavier as the good guys and Tiffany as a villain? The men are doing the same things she's been doing, perhaps even a bit more forcefully and Derek has spent an inordinate amount of time cussing out others and the show itself. Yet they are portrayed as the good guys? Give me a break!
  • Although they definitely have a group goal with the Cookout, it's limiting good players more than any previous alliance in the history of the game.
  • It's at the point where even since Derek X, some Cookout members have strong bonds with their non-Cookout counterparts and would personally rather work with them than some Cookout members.
  • And that's where we are now.
  • Azah wants to tell Claire about the Cookout and the reason she will have to go on the block to replace Alyssa when Alyssa saves herself.
  • Tiffany also wants to tell her.
  • "Oh NOES, you do NOT do that!" says Xavier.
  • He doesn't want his buddy Alyssa to find out about the Cookout.
  • Then she would know he's just been playing her.
  • Just from watching the feeds, I can see that Tiffany was NOT "just playing" either Derek X or Claire. She has genuine feelings for them, more so than she has for Derek F or Xavier.
  • It was heartbreaking to watch Tiffany explain to Claire why she has to put her up as the renom.
  • Word got out and about to just about everyone except Alyssa that Claire had been told.
  • Claire told Tiffany she understands and won't hold it against her.
  • Claire cried as her dreams have been crushed.
  • But she did straighten up and mingle with the others before going to bed a bit early.
  • There was a bit of scuttlebutt with Hannah, Tiffany and Kyland about voting out Xavier, but I don't see that really going anywhere.
  • The veto meeting will be later today.

Derek and Xavier have been
getting on her nerves.

Has probably cost herself the game

Tiffany explains it all to Claire. Claire cries.

Hannah still does weird things with her mouth,
like chewing the inside of her lip.

Would he even be in the house if
 his father wasn't famous?

What if she finds out Xavier has
just been using her?

BB23: HoH Comp and Nominations Show Blog Party - Sept. 5

Greetings and felicitations! Tonight we get to check out the end of the HOH "endurance" comp (which lost two people before the live show was over). And, then the HOH winner will choose two hamsters for nomination. In real life the veto comp has already been played. But, since this is a show post, it's a NO SPOILERS ZONE! Please don't comment on anything before it's aired. Some folks really don't like spoilers.

I will be live-blogging, regularly updating this entry with the major events as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest news! As always, the real party is in the comments area -- please feel free to join in on the fun!

Sitting through "Previously On" as I always do ...

We pick up the action at the start of the HOH comp before Derek fell during the commercial break. He's down less than two minutes! Alyssa tells us she was getting dizzy and sick, down in six minutes. Claire drops (as she must overthrow it as secret HOH). Those three are the Have Nots for the week.

They show a segment with Derek pushing Tiffany to throw the comp to him, Kyland or Azah to take the shot against Claire this week.

Hannah is down. Xavier drops at 21 minutes. Azah actually falls at 23 minutes. It's down to Tiffany and Kyland still up. Tiffany is like a rock up there and Kyland is upset that she doesn't seem to have any intention of throwing it. Even Azah in a Diary Room segment is mad at Tiffany, as is Derek.

Kyland tries to deal to no avail. Kyland actually fell (not dropped) at 36 minutes. TIFFANY IS THE NEW HOH ... despite what the Cookout wanted. The others feel she has gone rogue on them.

Tiffany tells us she had no intention of sitting on the block this week -- which she would have been if anyone else in the Cookout won. She wants to build her wins resume and BB is an individual game. The Cookout members are crying SELFISH! I should note that I understand they have a lofty goal but I have never seen another alliance so limiting to what the members can and cannot do.

Alyssa is upset that she's on slop and feels that she and Xavier will be on the block. Xavier is mad because he will likely be on the block for the third week. Ahem ... first time was a random roulette wheel spun by Alyssa, second was his own choice of a punishment for winning a veto he didn't need to win.

Claire thinks that she is definitely safe this week. Kyland tries to talk to Tiffany and now doesn't trust that she's a team player. @@

Derek whines because he's a Have Not and fell down first. He is acting all kinds of defeated and Azah tries to pep talk him. He feels hopeless in all the comps. Hannah tells them that Tiffany didn't want Kyland to win. She tells us them all aiming at each other is good for her own game. She says, after all, BB is an individual game. Heh.

Azah, Derek and Xavier talk. Xavier says that Tiffany and Kyland are playing in their own interest, not for the vision (Black person winning the show). He claims he keeps feeling shafted by them.

Xavier talks to Tiffany. He wants her to take out Claire. She tells him while she doesn't want to put him on the block but if he wins the Power of Veto, he would take her off. He tells us, quite selfishly I might add, that he will do just that to ruin her HOH.

Derek fusses to us that he will be faking it and cares nothing about going to see Tiffany's HOH room. He and Xavier sit together. Xavier tells us that it should have been Derek or Azah's moment. I say if Derek can't win a comp, he doesn't deserve the HOH! Tiffany, Claire and Hannah watch Kyland, Derek and Xavier being miserable in the living room.

Tiffany tells us that she is playing the game for herself more than the Cookout. She wants Claire to target the guys if she wins HOH next week. She wants the final four to be her, Claire, Hannah and Azah.

She talks to Alyssa who is pulling a real Audrey look in a hoodie, hood up and dark sunglasses. Tiffany tells her that she is considering her and Xavier to break up a pair. Alyssa, pretty wisely, points out that she is good at the end because she wouldn't have any jury votes -- her own allies went out pre-jury. She tells Tiffany that she would have targeted Kyland not her.

Time for the nominations. Tiffany first nominates Alyssa, then Xavier. She says it was a tough decision, not personal, both good game players.

BB23: Live Feeds into Sunday Morning - Sept. 5

Well, this is one fine kettle of fish!

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Chaotic Cats:

  • What a 24 hours it's been!
  • They had the ZingBot visit.
  • I want to make note that I don't care so much for ZingBot. I always have problems understanding what the robot is saying. Maybe if they changed the voice I would like it more. But you know they won't do that.
  • Of course, the ZingBot was blocked to the live feeds.
  • There were so many issues going on with Alyssa winning the veto that they didn't talk much about the zings.
  • Azah's zing seemed to have something to do with her unrequited feelings for Xavier. Apparently something was said about Xavier saying he would never date her.
  • She is upset that the public will know.
  • But we already know.
  • Then there's the Alyssa winning the veto chaos.
  • Xavier and Derek are all smug about it as they feel Tiffany has to put Claire up now and she will be evicted just like they wanted.
  • Xavier has become super controlling. It's rubbing me the wrong way.
  • He wants to hold onto his person, Alyssa, but is all ticked off that Tiffany wanted to hold onto hers for another week.
  • His behaviors go from smug to hissy fit over the last few days.
  • It does not look good on him.
  • Meanwhile, Derek (of all people) is the same way!
  • He told Azah he's been carrying her the whole game.
  • Say what?
  • He's been laying about on any soft surface, not winning comps, you name it!
  • To his credit, he cooks and cleans.
  • But so do others.
  • Azah figures the Claire will go on the block as a replacement.
  • She wants to be a vote for her to stay and wants to come clean as far as the Cookout goes.
  • If Claire goes up (probably more like when), the vote would be two to three to keep her.
  • Derek doesn't like that. They all need just ONE vote to stay! That's the PLAN!
  • How DARE Azah not follow direction after she has ridden his coattails all season!
  • @@
  • He thinks Tiffany should sit on the block with Alyssa next week to punish her for not following his and Xavier's "rules."
  • As for Tiffany, she has tried to figure any way she can to not put Claire on the block or, to save her if she does.
  • She really really doesn't want to hurt Claire.
  • But her hands are kind of tied due to the Cookout.
  • She feels that Claire would have gone this week if she hadn't won HOH and now she will go anyway. She was only buying Claire an extra week.
  • If she doesn't put Claire on the block she ruins any chance she ever had of winning the game. The Cookout would all vote against her.
  • If two Cookout members are at the end, the ones in jury would vote against her.
  • If one Cookout Tiffany and one non-Cookout are at the end, would the Cookout go against the ultimate goal and vote her out for spite?
  • Hmm. That is a highly unlikely scenario, though.
  • Right now I can only believe two Cookouts will be in the final two.
  • I surely don't want one to be Derek F. He is nasty and controlling when he has no grounds to be that way. I realize he apparently has a fan base, but in my opinion he should never have been on the show.
  • Now, Azah has done little as far as strategy and such. She's not winning comps. But, the difference is that she doesn't think she's all that and a bag of chips. I can't see her winning unless she miraculously starts winning comps and I doubt that will happen. But if it came down to her and Derek ... my vote would be for her to win.
  • Tiffany even thought of ways she could put Kyland on the block with Xavier but then she would face the wrath of whichever remained.
  • Right now her dilemma is to try to figure a way to make Claire think she's a pawn.
  • Sigh.
  • Hannah and Tiffany talked about ways to convince Kyland to vote out the strongest competitor Xavier but feel that will go nowhere.
  • The veto meeting is tomorrow.
  • Alas, I feel it's all written in stone already ...

Alyssa only got a tiny veto bracelet,
no necklace.

I'm not liking what he's becoming. Sigh.

Her name is not being brought up at all.

You're on BB, not Dr. Pimple Popper! Ew!

I do everything, Azah, and you do nothing!

I want to vote for Claire to stay!

BB23: Live Feeds Veto Winner Bulletin - Sept. 4

Well, we have a veto winner. They drew for veto players earlier today. In addition to Tiffany, Alyssa and Xavier, we had Azah, Derek and Hannah playing.

Alyssa won.

Oh my.

BB23: Live Feeds Nominations Bulletin - Sept. 3

The suspense is over. I mean, with all this expect the unexpected stuff going on, trying to guess who Tiffany would nominate for eviction was darn near impossible.

Yeah, right.

Xavier and Alyssa are on the block.

BB23: Live Feeds into Friday Morning - Sept. 3

Tiffany celebrates for her family and us

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Call a Wahmbulance:

  • Oh my. What a disgruntled house we have going on here.
  • As you know from my last post, Tiffany won HOH when Kyland, the other last in the comp, slipped and fell.
  • The Cookout is having hissy fits all over the place.
  • Apparently, the "order" of HOH wins was that Tiffany was supposed to throw the comp to let either Azah or Kyland win.
  • Shame on Tiffany for wanting to get a full-fledged HOH on her own merits!
  • She was like a rock up there.
  • At least they're not fussing that Derek F was supposed to win!
  • But he is absolutely miserable, cussing and whining.
  • He said he was asked in the interviews if he thought his weight might be an obstacle and he told them no.
  • Um. Now, he's a big fan of the show. He knows the comps. I'm a fan of the show. I know the comps. I know I would not be able to perform well in any of the physical ones these days and I don't want to set myself up for failure in the world public eye.
  • He thinks they were going to have new comps, a strength comp geared to him.
  • Um, no. That's not the way the world works.
  • He's whining (and cussing) that he feels picked on just like back in high school when he was picked on about his weight.
  • Give me a break!
  • That's what he said.
  • But I digress ...
  • The comps are NOT picking on him. They have been the standard expected BB comps we've seen before. A strength alone comp would directly gear the comp towards the men. While some comps favor men or women a bit, a strength comp would be totally unacceptable.
  • Derek is also acting like the three first down in the comp being Have Nots was aimed to target and be mean to him.
  • Xavier is passing along his theory that Claire was the secret HOH and threw the comp.
  • Now, I haven't heard her say it, but I think Claire threw it as third so she would be a Have Not and people wouldn't realize she threw it.
  • Xavier is sure that Tiffany is (once again) going to skip the order of things and put him and Alyssa up on the block when "it's Claire's turn to be evicted."
  • @@
  • If Tiffany had followed the planned order of things and threw the comp to either Azah or Kyland, she and Claire would be on the block with Claire as the target. It would be Claire out this week, Alyssa out next week.
  • While Kyland, Xavier and Derek all fussed and moaned about Tiffany's actions, none of them have caught onto the fact that Hannah is working with Tiffany.
  • They do think the women are starting to work against the men in the Cookout.
  • Tiffany is definitely leaning toward and most likely will nominate Xavier and Alyssa.
  • Xavier is angry that he is the new Britini on the block, the Cookout puppy dog as he calls it. Never mind that one was the random spin of a roulette wheel and he did the second nomination himself winning the veto with the choice of punishments.
  • He says he wants to see what happens if Alyssa comes down.
  • He's right there.
  • If Tiffany was playing her own game for herself, it would not make sense to put Claire up as a replacement.
  • Since she is kind of locked into playing the Cookout game, if she put another Cookout member (probably Kyland or Derek) up there, she would lose jury votes.
  • Heh.
  • They still have two non-Cookout people in the game and they are already falling apart.
  • Too bad, so sad.
  • But, without a doubt, more interesting than last week!
  • In other news, they think ZingBot is due (and they're right) and they think there has to be a double eviction coming soon as the numbers don't mesh.
  • Nominations will be later today.

It was supposed to be Azah or me! Wah!

Still comp messy, Xavier is ticked off
 that Tiffany won. Wah!

None of these comps are made for me! Wah!

I'm the smallest and a Have Not again?!?! Wah!

BB23: Live Feeds HOH Endurance Comp Coverage - Sept. 2

Once the live feeds come back, this post will be updated with commentary and screen caps until we have a winner! Refresh the page to get the latest news ...
Derek and Alyssa down before the show ends.
The feeds started up almost immediately at show end.

Love how Derek is giving them all advice.

9:12PM EDT - Claire down.

9:14PM EDT - Hannah down -- was complaining about a headache before.
Hey, when did Xavier go down? He is!

9:17PM EDT - Azah down.

Kyland and Tiffany remain.

In observation, Tiffany seems more solid than Kyland. He's moving around a lot.
9:24PM EDT - Kyland asks the others to give them a minute. Apparently he wants to deal. Derek F is being miserable probably because he did so poorly. But they don't deal or talk. Tiff is a rock. Azah has been sick.

9:30PM EDT - Kyland is down. TIFFANY WINS HOH!!!

BB23: Live Eviction and HOH Comp Start - Sept. 2

Good evening! I'm still not 100% here and now rather storm-ravaged on top of things. (Yes, I live in New Jersey in the NYC Greater Metro area and we got hit hard with the remnants of Ida.) I will try my best to keep up with things tonight. There is supposed to be an endurance HOH comp, so I will be covering that in a separate live feeds post after tonight's aired show.

First off ... I would like to thank JonMD1267 for providing running updates here last night during the show. Amazing work! Thank you so much!

I will be updating this entry the best I can as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest updates! As always, the real party is in the comments area -- please feel free to join in on the fun!

But first -- Lifeguard SueGee has updated the blog pool (she rocks like that, y'know). Here's where we stand going into the show tonight:

Azah Awasum - Dr Celine, Krysta Gibson, Nickelpeed, Rbennie
Derek Frazier - Glenn Allen, Jean from Tampa, Luckysmom, MikesGirl
Hannah Chaddha - BB-Boy, Fred aka TwoBlackAces, Helenann2K, JoC
Alyssa Lopez - CherylNY, JessicaUnderwoodJames, Skyriverblue, Terry is a Texan
Xavier Prather - Aya Marie, Donna NY, Ed in Ohio, Petals
Sarah Beth Steagall - Andi, Brenda, Tilde, TS14Fan
Claire Rehfuss - KarlaV, Laura, Marthalight, Monty924
Kyland Young - chrob61, JonMD1267, Laura in GA, QuixoticElf, Tammy
Tiffany Mitchell - April, Indiana Jane, MrsKB2, tbc

Jury: Britini D'Angelo, Derek Xiao

**********************************

Sitting through the "previously on" segment. Ohh, we get a bit of Britini and Derek X tonight! Oh my, Julie has a tight little black dress on! She tells us the week was crazy and had nothing to do with the game. Hmm. To me, all has to do with the game! Sure enough, the segment is about SarahBeth and Kyland on the block.

Alyssa and Claire, in front of Xavier, mention that Claire is actually the only white person left. "Is there an alliance we don't know about?" Xavier is shocked Alyssa brought it up -- Alyssa is his "person."

Bee in the backyard drama causing Hannah to fall from the hammock and hurt herself. She fell because Derek F jumped out to escape from the bee (which they call a beetle?). Sure looked like a bee to me! Then the smoke alarm is going off in the kitchen because they forgot to watch cooking food.

The Cookout randomly meets up in the bathroom wondering why no one else in the house has caught onto them. Xavier tells us he's proud of the Cookout but only one can win and that will be him.

Xavier, Kyland and Derek F think the women need to go. Xavier can actually see either them or going with Hannah and Tiffany. Kyland doesn't trust Derek F. Derek F thinks he can win with either of the guys in a final two. Tiffany schemes with Kyland to target Xavier and Derek X. Kyland isn't quite sure which one he trusts. Tiffany tells us that she plans to be in the final two with Chadda (Hannah).

Jury segment with Derek X and Britini. The Lord of the Latrine has arrived. Hugs go on, thankfully not tears. The HOH, nominations and eviction play for them. Derek tells Britini about Kyland's goodbye message about working with a group. Britini figures it out about duos, then Derek catches on.

To the living room:
SB - Reasonable tactical reasons to keep her, knows what it's like to make a decision and regret it.
Kyland - Shout-outs. Great one on one conversations. I talk a lot. Nothing bad to say about SB.

The votes to evict:
Derek F - to evote SB
Claire - Vote only counts in a tie - SB
Alyssa - SB
Tiffany - Kyland sympathy vote
Azah - SB
Hannah - SB
Xavier - SB

No surprises for us or her. Hugs. She loves them. Yeah. Sure. She thinks she was evicted because she was a bigger threat than Kyland. Ha. She knew Tiff gave her the vote. Kyland also knew and told her. Goodbye messages -- Claire admits to being secret HOH. Azah and Kyland hint at the Cookout.

Claire will compete but has to throw the comp. So, it's the Cookout versus Alyssa. Tiffany can play. The circus -- the Flying BBeano on suspended disks on a carousel, spin, slam into Bubbles the elephant. First three out will be Have Nots. Derek F is having problems before it even starts! The elephant has bubbles coming from its "booty."

Heh. Commercial block ended and Derek is already down.

Zingbot next week, double eviction two weeks in a row.

Julie tells Derek he looks relaxed. I think he looks angry. Alyssa down? Hmm.

I have a separate post to cover this from the live feeds. See you there!

BB23: Power of Veto Blog Party - Sept. 1

I apologize for my absence the last few days. I have had a double whammy of health and technical issues. I'm not going to be able to live blog tonight's show. So, if folks could do updates in the comments section, it would be appreciated. Please no spoiler comments as it is about the show. I should be back up and running for tomorrow's eviction show. Thank you for your patience!

BB23: Nominations / High Rollers Show Blog Party - Aug. 29

Good evening, all! I hope those in the path of Ida are safe and I'm thinking of all y'all. Here in the NYC area we will have our weather affected by it later in the week, but nothing like a full-fledged hurricane hit.

Tonight's show should be starting about eight minutes late due to football. I'm putting this post up at the usual time but can't really start blogging it until it starts. So, it's not me. It's them.

I ask folks to remember this is a show post meaning it's a NO SPOILERS ZONE. Yeah, I know the Power of Veto comp is already said and done on the live feeds and in reality, as well as all the content of tonight's aired show. However some people who follow the show posts don't follow the live feeds. Please respect them (as well as me). On another note, I also ask that you respect your fellow commenters. While the hamsters in the house put themselves in the public eye, people are allowed to like whomever they wish on the show without being demeaned by others. So, don't go there. Thank you.

Once the show starts here, I'll be live-blogging the major happenings and constantly updating this entry. Please refresh the page to get the latest news! As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

Here we are ... in the Previously On segment. We pick up the action after Tiffany's HOH win. She is beside herself about it. She tells us she decided it wasn't worth her game to save Derek X although she really wanted to. Claire, Azah, Hannah and Tiffany celebrate with a happy dance in the storage room.

Kyland feels terrible for betraying Derek X's trust. He tells us that Derek was his own biggest threat in the game ... but he is sad about it. Sarah Beth is upset because Derek put her on blast in his speech. She's worried about Tiffany being HOH. She thinks she and Kyland have a new alliance called the Monarchy with Alyssa and Xavier. Yeah, right.

Xavier is acting upset about his forced third nominee role but knows he's safe because of the Cookout.

Tiffany tells us Kyland should be expecting to go on the block with Sarah Beth as he was the one before who said they needed to target the duos.

Hannah feels guilty for taking part in sending Derek X home. Tiffany tries to console her. She tells her Derek is a great person and will still be her friend. Hannah cries. She's rather inconsolable.

Tiffany seems to be doing her one on one meetings. She's with Derek F now. She wants him to go for the High Rollers win as she knows he has the money. She tells him she wants him to trust her. He tells us he doesn't trust her -- if not for the Cookout, she would be gone.

She talks to the rather infamous SarahBeth next. SB implies that she will have the money to pay to play the Coin of Destiny in High Rollers. Tiffany tells her that getting DX out crippled her game. SB acts like she supports Tiffany and just didn't know.

Who wants to see my HOH room? Huh. They haven't been showing much of these this season. Derek is a bit ridiculous in his joy over her Beyonce music received.

SarahBeth goes back to Tiffany. She wants Tiffany to look at others instead of herself and Kyland for the block. She throws Alyssa under the bus. Tiffany plays along but is indeed seeming to take SB's talk into consideration.

Time for nominations. Xavier is mentioned first as the third nominee. Tiffany first nominates Kyland, then SarahBeth. She tells them because they are a very powerful duo and she needs to excel her own personal game. She tells us that SarahBeth is her target. Alyssa is on her list but for later.

SarahBeth runs to Tiffany once again. Tiffany acts like Kyland is her target instead of SB. (Lies!)

High Rollers room opens! This is the last time. $250 BB Bucks for Coin of Destiny. Flip a coin, new HOH with new nominations for the winner, Tiffany is safe no matter what, results are secret. If dethroned, Tiff can play for HOH this coming week, the new HOH cannot win HOH this coming week.

Azah - Had received 50, envelope 50 only has 200 total, not enough

Xavier - 75 not enough

Alyssa - Not enough

Hannah - Received 100, got 50, can play. Declines

Tiffany - Received 100, not enough

SarahBeth - Received 50, in envelope 100, not enough

Derek - Received 75, 100 in envelope, has enough 425. Plays. Rolls coins highest score at the end of two minutes wins. He throws the comp with a score of one.

Claire - Received 100, got 50 in envelope. Has just enough to play. She rolls fast and furious. She has one in and we break for commercial. Back. She scores again! And again! Has three!

All are called to the dining room (as if they have one). A voice announces a winner. Tiffany has to flip a coin. Heads or tails. The HR Room winner has chosen heads. Tiffany flips it ... gets heads, she has been dethroned.

The new HOH will make new nominations. Kyland and SB's photos disappear from the nominations panel. Xavier remains as third. Well, new HOH has nominated Kyland, then SarahBeth.

Tiffany is no longer HOH. Claire is secret HOH. On the block are SarahBeth, Kyland and Xavier.

BB23: Live Feeds Power of Veto Update - August 28

How adorable!

The feeds were blocked for an eternity! Okay, perhaps hours instead of an eternity. I guess I exaggerate. However, by the time they returned, it had really been hours.

HANNAH won the Power of Veto!

Look what I won!

BB23: Live Feeds into Saturday - August 28

Still oblivious to her destiny

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Misfit Mice:

  • Tiffany's HOH reign was short-lived as were her robe, photos and goodies.
  • Apparently NO ONE gets the room as the HOH won in the Coin of Destiny High Rollers Room is secret.
  • Shhh ...
  • Don't tell anyone.
  • But Tiffany, Hannah and Azah all know and celebrated with Claire for winning it.
  • And Tiffany told Derek F and Xavier that Claire won it but she is telling Kyland and SarahBeth she won it.
  • We'll see how long that secret lasts!
  • It seems the three women received the most BB Bucks from America voters this week -- Tiffany, Claire and Hannah.
  • That's the only way they could afford to play.
  • Xavier had his Bucks taken away as one of the three punishments in his veto win. So, he couldn't play. Alyssa, Kyland and SarahBeth couldn't afford the $250 BB Bucks to play.
  • Azah may or may not have played. I'm not sure. Since she didn't win, I don't care!
  • Claire let the nominations remain the same or named the same ones -- Kyland and SarahBeth.
  • With Xavier there no matter who is HOH (other than himself), the three nominations stand at Kyland, SarahBeth and Xavier.
  • I don't feel too bad about being confused about the Coin of Destiny Secret HOH stuff as Claire herself is confused.
  • It seems that Tiffany and Claire can both play for HOH this week, but CLAIRE needs to throw the comp and cannot win. Apparently that's to keep up the "secret" even though most of the house knows.
  • It seems that if either Kyland or SarahBeth get saved with the veto, it's CLAIRE who will make the replacement. However, that will have to be done in the Diary Room to maintain the secret ... I guess.
  • I guess Claire doesn't even get a basket and photos at all.
  • I'm sure that if Claire has to put up a renom, it will be Alyssa. If not for her alliance with Tiffany I think she would have targeted Alyssa in the first place.
  • Of course, if Xavier gets saved ... there is NO replacement and it would be the regular two nominations for eviction.
  • Azah has finally had an epiphany! She now realizes that her crush on Xavier is bound to be forever unrequited.
  • Good. She was starting to look foolish about it.
  • The Cookout celebrated getting this far in the house.
  • However, Hannah was having a few regrets. She told Tiffany she wanted to narrate her own agenda, not a group one.
  • Both Tiffany and Hannah have lamented that they personally like some non-Cookout people more than those they made that promise not to target so many weeks back.
  • But their cause remains. The game will become a very singular one before long. I think we will see the women against the men before it's one, though.
  • Tiffany will not be playing for veto as she was overthrown from HOH.
  • Claire will not play for veto as the HOH because her reign is a secret.
  • Shh.
  • The veto players were picked.
  • In addition to Xavier, Kyland and SarahBeth, these names were drawn: Alyssa, Claire and Hannah.
  • Laters!

BB23: After High Rollers Live Feeds Bulletin - Aug. 27

The feeds were blocked for several hours while they did the High Rollers room. Remember, every one of them had to go in and see how much they had won during the last comp. So, it was forever. I still don't know who played or won. Or, even if anyone won.

I do know that SarahBeth and Kyland are still on the block. I believe Xavier is still there as well. But whether he is there or not, isn't really all that important.

It sounds like Claire won the Coin of Destiny in the High Rollers. I don't know if she gets to take over the room or not. But that does help explain the noms remaining the same. Xavier, SarahBeth and Kyland up for eviction.

Veto tomorrow.
