BB23: Season Finale Blog Party

The Final Three,
no group goodbye to the live feeds!

We're finally here at the season finale! Woot! Woot! Tonight they will air the taped Part Two of the final HOH comp and Part Three will play out live on the show. The winner of Part One will compete in Part Three against the winner of Part Two.

Have I confused you yet? Xavier won the first part. That means that the second part will be Azah and Derek competing. Whichever one wins that will go up against Xavier in Part Three. The winner of Part Three chooses which one is evicted and which one goes to the final two with him or her.

Since this is a show post and the live feeds already know the winner of Part Two ... shhh! It's a NO SPOILER ZONE! Please don't comment on it until it airs on the show.

Lifeguard SueGee has our final three blog pool entrants in this update:

Azah Awasum - Dr Celine, Krysta Gibson, Nickelpeed, Rbennie
Derek Frazier - Glenn Allen, Jean from Tampa, Luckysmom, MikesGirl
Xavier Prather - Aya Marie, Donna NY, Ed in Ohio, Petals
JURY: Britini D'Angelo, Derek Xiao, Sarah Beth Steagall, Claire
Rehfuss, Alyssa Lopez, Tiffany Mitchell, Hannah Chaddha, Kyland Young

I will be updating this entry as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest happenings! As always, the real party is in the comments area -- please feel free to join in on the fun!

Resting through the Previously On ...

Julie is once again dressed in bright red, a rather simple but stately dress. We go right into HOH Part Two. Four of a Kind Slot Machine. Answer always four HG, climb up the giant slot machine wheels to turn them to match the faces on giant slot machine. Three questions. They do the comp individually.

1. First Wild Card Winners, 2. First four to survive eviction on the block, 3. First four to use veto

Derek is complaining about his knees and whining.

Xavier reads off the times -- Azah 13.19 -- Derek 20.22

AZAH WINS THE SECOND PART OF THE FINAL HOH COMP!

Derek is whining again, still. Heh. Before commercial break Julie tells us someone should remind Derek that his loss puts his fate in the hands of his housemates.

Julie tells us it is not sitting well with Big D that Azah has a route to the end of the show. He tells us he carried her all through the season and is mad about Xavier/Azah cuddling. Azah tells us that Derek has hurt her feelings and doesn't respect her. He is being obnoxious to her. He tells her that he will lose next to her and won't kiss anyone's ass. Oh my.

He is now acting like it was all him "saving" her last week in the Kyland vote when she did know that came from Xavier. Heck, Kyland knew it came from Xavier. Azah tells us that she doesn't like the way he's talking to her and is reconsidering. Derek whines to Xavier, who would be the recipient of any reconsider. How dumb is that dude?

Xavier laughs to us and says Derek has done himself in.

Azah tells Derek that if she wins Part 3 she will take Xavier. He is reacting poorly and tells us again how he has carried her. @@

Jury members talking who will be next. They seem to think Azah. Claire thinks the smart move would be to take Xavier out. Kyland joins them. Tiffany guesses right that it was Derek voting but Xavier directing the move. They talk about the final three. Xavier is coming across as the best game play. Kyland mentions the thrown comps.

Azah flew under the radar. Britini speaks of her loyalty. Derek X says had friendships outside the Cookout. Claire wanted to see her make a big move. Derek -- keeps secret, Alyssa says good social, Derek says he has a cool first name. SB said he wasn't capable of winning comps. Tiffany says he couldn't but gives him credit for staying. Kyland wants the strongest player to win. Kyland thinks that Derek and Hannah were interchangeable. Ew!

Time for Part Three of the HOH comp! Booths, of course. Xavier, Azah. Houseguest Headliners. How well they know the others. Jury members, three statements about juror, decide which statement is false. Eight questions.

1. Xavier right
2. Both right
3. Both right
4. Both right
5. Both right
6. Both right
7. Both right
8. Both right

XAVIER WINS PART THREE!!!

Xavier has to choose between Derek and Azah ...

Derek -- My brother, bond, together

Azah -- Appreciate and respect game, thank you for starting the Cookout, will be okay with whatever you decide.

Xavier loves them both, evicts AZAH. It will be Derek versus Xavier in the final two.

Azah talks to Julie. She is sad. She knew she tripped up on the first question. Did all she could. She tells Julie she would have indeed taken Xavier to the final two had she won. He played the best game and would be a great representative for the first African American to win BB. Her eye makeup is bugging me. She is being Azah in the interview.

Jury interrogation time!

The jurors seem to hope it was Derek F evicted. Azah shows up. Julie tells them Xavier was the last HOH.

Kyland - Xavier, what most important factors first Black winner? Play strong game, didn't get personal, never disrespected, team game play, best game play.

Britini - Big D, decisions at the hands of others name two you made. He says he founded the Cookout, and strategized it.

Alyssa - X - biggest mistake. He says he got too close to his teammates and it really crushed him.

Hannah - D - You here for fame over game. He says he wanted to be on television, help mother, you all are sitting there because of me.

Derek X - X - Strategic game move you made we don't know. Kyland eviction and threw the HOH to Derek X.

SB - Derek - What did you specifically contribute? Always in ear and drop facts, made sure plans happened. (Xavier is laughing at Derek)

Azah - Derek - Why do you deserve more than Xavier? Because I put in the work, thought of all in Cookout, have a heart.

Xavier is trying his best to not crack up at Derek's answers.

Final pleas ...

Derek - Said a lot tonight, came in knowing what he was going to do, formed an alliance with the other Blacks, competitor, can't say anything bad about Xavier, he deserves it as much as me.

Xavier - Played team best, never waived from Cookout, lost and won when he needed to. Won 3 HOH and 3 vetoes. On block five times. Love you all amazing summer!

The voting commences. Britini, played best overall game. Derek X, voting for me and Travis, SB - beyond honored. Claire - loves being proved wrong, don't think she will get that tonight. Alyssa - BB Couch, Tiffany - best game. Hannah - not much of a hot thing. Kyland - more important things than money in life. Azah - love you guys!

The pre-jurors appear live on screens next.

Julie mentions the Cookout. Christian, greatest alliance in BB history, not playing for themselves, history can be made. Brent surprised by Tiffany no idea so much impact and influence, master plan. Kudos to her. Derek X never suspected he was getting played. Stole Travis's hoodie.

Secrets -- Hannah's master student, all the secrets revealed except Xavier's lawyer bit. Time for Derek F to reveal father was Joe Frazier. Xavier lawyer job now. Britini discusses her autism. Kyland's tense exit ... does he regret? He talks around it.

Julie tells them that they doubled the prize money for AFP to 50 grand.

Time to crown a winner ...

Britini - X
Derek X - X
SB - X
Claire - X
Alyssa - X
XAVIER WINS B23!!!
What happened to the social distancing as Julie mingles with them all?

Congratulations to BB23 Blog Pool Winners -- Aya Marie, Donna NY, Ed in Ohio, Petals!

Julie tells us the votes were unanimous for Xavier.

Derek X and Tiffany were top two for AFP -- TIFFANY WON IT!

Definitely with the exception of Derek F in the final two, a satisfying end. Xavier deserved the win and Tiffany deserved the AFP.

Thank you all for coming along for the ride!

Tonight's episode will only be an hour long unlike last week. However, it will be followed by the two-hour season finale of BB23. A separate post for that show will magically appear a few minutes before 9PM EDT.

I will be live-blogging the best I can as the show airs here on the East Coast. Please be patient with me as I'm still trying to get the names down! Refresh this page to get the latest happenings. As always, the real party is in the comments area. Please feel free to join in on the fun!

On Ua, Brad is all kinds of worried about JD and Ricard because they went off to get water together. Horrors! Brad pulls a Tony and finds a hiding place to spy on them. They are talking about a "he" and he knows he's the only other he on the tribe. Shan is now leery of Brad because he ran to her to tell her. She tells Ricard as they are allies. Heh.

On Luvu, Deshawn is having trouble making fire. Naseer knows how to but doesn't want them to think he's all that knowing about such things. But then he helps. The tribe is realizing how valuable the man is!

On Yase, they seem to be crab hunting. Liana and Xander go off searching for the rest of their tribe, but Xander is actually looking for an advantage or idol. And he finds one! Advantage, beware ... if he takes it it's his if he doesn't take it, leave it. Hmm. He opens it. Congrats! A three-way shared immunity, each tribe has one. Has to say secret phrase at immunity challenge and wait for others to say theirs. He cannot vote until then. He shares the letter with Liana and Evvie, then David Voce (they call him Voce on the show). He's worried. Evvie wants the women to work together now that they have an extra vote.

Immunity Challenge time. One swims out, retrieves a key, then others through water obstacles, two do puzzle. Reward fishing gear. One big trophy, one small for second place. Losing tribe loses their flint again. Tiffany is holding back Yase. Uh-oh.

LUVU wins Immunity AGAIN! Ua wins the second place immunity! Yase goes to Tribal again. Jeff tells them that a member of Luvu take a journey and must take one of Yase. They choose Evvie. Deshawn volunteers to go.

Tiffany is apologetic for holding up their tribe but feels pretty secure with her female alliance. No one said the phrase to Xander, so he has lost his vote. David Voce has to get Liana and Evvie to line up with him against Tiffany. But, of course, Evvie is away and the women plan to vote off Xander.

Deshawn and Evvie are off on their journey. She really wants an ally on another tribe out of this. They go on a journey much like the three last week up the mountain. A bit on Deshawn's med student background. She tells him Xander might have an advantage due to the visit there last week. She also tells him "how the idols work" this season.

They face a risk or protect vote option like before. Evvie knows she needs to protect her vote. She thinks Deshawn will do the same because they talked about voting together down the line. She protects while he risks. Oh my.

Evvie returns to camp. The women cement their decision to vote out Xander. They will hide it from David. Voce, I have to remember to call him Voce. Tiffany is all befuddled about how Xander's "idol" works. Tiffany wants them to vote out Voce. Now Liana and Evvie are skeptical about keeping Tiffany. Tiffany is SO LOST at understanding.

Onto Tribal Council. When asked by Jeff, Tiffany says she feels vulnerable and is not happy about that. Xander admits being humbled. Voce says in surgery you review your errors so it won't happen again. They need to do that here. Xander does indeed get the note that he cannot vote until all three idols are found.

Jeff tallies the votes -- Tiffany, Voce, Voce, Voce.

They are creating their own tribal suicide. It's a shame because Liana and Evvie are so much better than that.

BB23: Last Live Feeds of the Season! - Sept. 29

World Class Listener

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Finally a Finale:

  • Well, it looks like Derek might have gone and done it.
  • He's been so nasty, demeaning and hurtful to Azah that the night before last and yesterday she went and told him that she won't be taking him to the final two if she wins part three.
  • She said that she thinks Xavier, for all he's done all season, deserves to come in better than third place when compared to her and Derek.
  • Derek reminded her that he could have voted her out -- he voted out Kyland with whom he had a final two deal.
  • She rebutted that they -- her and Derek -- have no such deals.
  • She knows the Kyland ouster was Xavier's decision and Derek was just doing his bidding.
  • Derek and Xavier have told her that they have a final two deal -- if Xavier wins part three, he will take Derek.
  • She understands and would be okay with that.
  • Meanwhile, Xavier should get some kind of auxiliary award just for being so patient, especially with Derek.
  • A few times I saw him roll his eyes.
  • He is trying to steer both of them to favoring him.
  • I do think he would go with Derek not just because he promised (remember, he promised Kyland final two, too) but because his stats and game play should reflect in an almost unanimous win.
  • He would also most likely win against Azah.
  • Derek is all bent out of shape ... again ... still ... whatever.
  • He thinks that if Azah promises Xavier final two, Xavier won't feel the need to win the final part of HOH as he would be guaranteed to go anyway.
  • But think about it -- Derek has spent HOURS fussing to Xavier about Azah saying she was going to take Xavier to the final two if she wins the last part.
  • Um. Has he no mind at all? He's fussing to the person that will benefit from her change of mind. What does he expect of him?
  • Derek was so upset that he started calling her Ms. Azah, saying he wasn't going to talk to her and moved out of the room the night before last.
  • Yep, that gave Xavier more time to work his mojo on her.
  • Smooth move, Derek!
  • Of course, he did talk to her again, this time a bit more apologetic.
  • But will it do any good?
  • I still think that she might/probably will take Xavier.
  • That is, if she wins the last part.
  • I actually think Xavier will win the last part and take Delusional Derek with him.
  • Oh. And he is STILL fussing about the minor injuries to his his knees. They actually just look dark like his elbows. Azah really scraped her knee a lot worse early in the season and didn't whine. I'd hate to see Derek really hurt if he acts this way over something so minor!

Still fussing over his minor knee injuries

Will she choose X if she wins Part Three?

Has no concept of reality ... at all.

BB23: Live Feeds into Monday Afternoon - Sept. 27

I wish she would stop leaning on men

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Delusional Drama:

  • Seriously, not a lot has changed in there.
  • Derek has been running through his final speech to the jurors and it's pretty much what we saw on last night's show.
  • He is whining and overplaying knee injuries he received during the Part Two comp.
  • Xavier has been rolling his eyes and laughing about Derek's non-ending cries.
  • He has been patient-ish with him but has kept trying to point out that the perceived injuries aren't that bad.
  • Kyland pocketed a ring from Derek that belonged to Derek's father or something similarly sentimental (although Derek says he can buy another one, so ...).
  • He and Xavier searched all over for the ring.
  • Aha! They don't know that Kyland was wearing it the night he was evicted. Just before the results were given on camera, Kyland removed the ring and pocketed it.
  • On camera, mind you.
  • But they were there and apparently didn't see it.
  • I actually had to re-watch to see it.
  • But, no, Derek. "Tooken" is not a word. He took the ring. He has taken the ring. He stole the ring. But it was NOT "tooken."
  • While I'm complaining, I would like that fan Xavier keeps playing with destroyed. He keeps whipping it open and closed. The sound on the live feeds is as bad as loud card shuffling.
  • The cards can go away, too.
  • At least chess is quiet.
  • Tensions are running real high between Derek and Azah.
  • You would think he'd realize that, since his making the final two MIGHT be in her hands if she wins the last part of HOH, he should play nice.
  • Nope. He keeps acting like he played a better game than her, saved her in the Kyland vote out scenario (which she KNEW was Xavier's wishes/demand), carried her all game long ... and on and on.
  • He's kind of sounding the same noise at Xavier about what a great game he's played.
  • Xavier is laughing it off (although not to his face) because he knows what a bad player Derek has been.
  • But it's getting to Azah. It's very possible that she might reconsider her options if she wins that last part.
  • Xavier is worried that she might and has been studying and memorizing as much as he can.
  • Xavier is still telling Derek he will pick him if he wins the last comp part. He probably will. He knows Derek's speech inside and out, certainly knows Derek's game (or lack thereof) and probably thinks he would have a better chance to win against Derek than Azah.
  • He would/should win against either.
  • With so few in the house, it has turned mostly into The Derek Drama Show. If not his comp losses, it's his knees. If not his knees, it's the position he's in which he has no say in the game. On and on.
  • It could be just me ... but I wish Azah would stop cuddling with Xavier and even a bit with Derek.
  • I know I'm just not the touchy-feely huggy type. So it could be me. But, to me, it makes her look dependent on the men ... or something to that effect.
  • I know she wants Xavier to choose her for final two if he wins, but sheesh.

That fan needs to be trashed or
taken away from Xavier!

Hand in pants, finger in mouth ...

What? Actually not cuddling or leaning on a man?

Laughing at Derek's cries of pain drama

Feeling sorry for himself ... again

BB23: 1st Part of Final HOH Comp Show Blog Party - Sept. 26

Good evening! I hope everyone is doing well! Tonight's show should be a lot of filler and the first part of the three-part final HOH comp. Now, I know in real life that part two has already played out. However, since this is a show post and followed by many without live feeds, it's a NO SPOILERS ZONE. Until it shows on the show, please don't talk about it in the comments! If you wish to comment on live feeds, my most recent post is at this link right here.

We're down to the final three not only on the show, but in our blog pool as well. I was out long ago with Christian ... just when I was getting to like him! Here's the latest from the esteemed Blog Pool Lifeguard SueGee:

Azah Awasum - Dr Celine, Krysta Gibson, Nickelpeed, Rbennie
Derek Frazier - Glenn Allen, Jean from Tampa, Luckysmom, MikesGirl
Xavier Prather - Aya Marie, Donna NY, Ed in Ohio, Petals

JURY: Britini D'Angelo, Derek Xiao, Sarah Beth Steagall, Claire Rehfuss, Alyssa Lopez, Tiffany Mitchell, Hannah Chaddha, Kyland Young

I'll be live blogging, updating this entry with the major happenings as they air on the show here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest news. As always, the real party is in the comments area -- please feel free to join in on the fun!

The show is running a couple of minutes late here. But, since it's followed by the Tony Awards tonight, it won't be too late.

They're touting it as "Part One of the Season Finale." 8:05PM here and we have lift-off! Julie does the intro in a black slacks suit. I will have to check again to see if it's the one she wore before. We have them pre-Kyland going in the Previously On segment. Nope, different outfit.

Xavier's lawyer lie, but what was the secret who got him to the final three? He posed as a bartender from the start. Derek is guessing he's a lawyer. Xavier says no showmances for him this summer. Made a final two with Derek F on Day One. Then he goes into all of his alliances. Cookout most important. Mission important as representation matters. He says he was the glue that kept the Cookout together. He threw comps through the start. He did want one HOH just to show he's capable. He knew all wanted Brent out.

But all did not go his way. He was nominated via the roulette wheel. He was nominated by himself even for winning a veto. (He actually knew he was safe every time.) He talks of accepting Kyland's final two. He wanted his biggest threat for the win out -- Tiffany. So, he had to convince Kyland to nominate her, then Hannah. Then at the final four, he won HOH and veto. He considered Kyland his biggest threat, so he had to go. He convinced Derek to vote him out. He made a promise to his brother before the brother passed that he would make sure to take care of his nephew.

Now Azah's story, hopefully not as long! She has seen every season, was ready to be the comp beast Alpha female ... then realized she couldn't. She had to go under the radar, relationship with her team Jokers, then the Cookout (where many were bigger targets than her). She came out squeaky clean in the Kyland-Xavier-Tiffany bloodbath. Low profile building personal relationships with all. She played an honest game and was honest with others even if it caused friction.

Joy in the final six because they set an example. She was not a target within the Cookout but won HOH when she needed it. Lied to Hannah (and feels bad about it) but targeting her was what she needed to do for her own game. Never saw the block until the final four. She wants to win to buy a new house for her parents.

Derek's turn. Of course, his father is mentioned. Has not won a comp but he will tell us how he dominated the game. He will go by Big D. Wants to represent Black, gay and big men. His social game will be his forte. Used charm and personality to build connections on Day One. Love at first sight with Frenchie, final two deals with him and Xavier. Then a final two with Kyland. He wanted the big competitors on his side. His best friend in the game is Azah.

He didn't win the most (NONE) competitions. Didn't need to as he was always good with the person who did win. He formed the Cookout -- he says. He put it together and lies to others so they don't guess. Pardon me ... I just threw up a bit in my mouth while typing his accomplishments.

Ahem. He couldn't work with Tiffany and almost quit the Cookout. In the end he stayed and the Cookout made the final six. He says it was his decision to evict Kyland (although we know that was Xavier). Perfect social game, deserves the win over anybody in the house. Gag me now people.

Finally time for Part One of the HOH comp!

It's an ocean theme -- Bouncy Boat Bash. They are on "boats" in an ocean setting with waves expected. It's reminiscent of the surfboard one a few seasons back. It's raining and becomes a Sharknado! Other fish are flying at them, too.

Derek out first -- 19 minutes. The only surprise is he lasted that long!

Azah slipped, 26 minutes.

XAVIER WINS FINAL HOH PART ONE!

BB23: Live Feeds Part Two HOH Comp Winner Bulletin - Sept. 25

Who will he be against in the final part?

This isn't a full-fledged report as they have done so little report-worthy. But the feeds were blocked for about three and a half hours for the second part of the HOH comp.

Guess who won? Remember, it was Azah and Derek competing to go up against Xavier in the last round.

Will Derek actually WIN a comp? Will it be THIS COMP HE WINS?

Nope.

Azah won. She will go up against Xavier in the final round on the live finale show.

Yes, Derek is whining.

He has officially won absolutely NO comps this season. And, it wasn't because he was throwing them. He told Azah he can do nothing but sit around and eat. I will add in: lay about, dig in his ears, whine, fuss, curse, be catty, stick hands down pants, judge others, be misogynistic and be delusional. His only bragging rights might be cooking and cleaning.

Um. Not the best in table manners

Hands down pants or fingers in ears ...!

BB23: Final Three Celebrate/Videos From Home Show Blog Party - Sept. 24

Good evening! Now, I don't really know how much of this episode I'll actually be live-blogging. It will depend on its content. I'm thinking we will have some flashback segments, sitting around reminiscing over the season, videos from home, talking about others and such. Sure, I will be updating this entry -- refresh the page to get the latest news -- but it sounds like this rare Friday night episode might be mostly filler.

In real life Part One of the final HOH comp has been done. I posted a live feeds report about it. I don't believe that will air until Sunday evening. This here post is in the NO SPOILERS ZONE. If you wish to comment about that comp, please go to my earlier live feeds post.

As always, the real party is in the comments area. Please feel free to drop in and have a brew or two with us!

Sitting through Previously On although I think a lot of tonight will be about previously on ... yes, the announcer just said how they will be looking back on the season.

Of course they're talking about the Kyland uncouth exit last night. Derek is the only one to say he would have beat him up, of course. Thankfully the feast arrives and we don't have to hear Derek talking about how tough he is. @@

A Lucious (Xavier's Afro'd alter-ego) segment. Into how much Xavier and the others liked Christian. Now onto Britini memories. Frenchie talk. Although, now that I "know" Derek so much better than I did back then, I understand why he was drawn to rogue playing.

Now they Azah and Alyssa are talking about the men to whom they're attracted. Talk about "taco meat" hair on the chest.

Onto a cooking segment. Hannah cannot cook, they claim. The traditional diary room segments we didn't previously see are next -- napping, farting, cursing (bleeped), etc. Into the crying there.

Into a segment about getting to know each other. Claire talks about coming out and her sexuality to Derek X. Then into the Christian and Alyssa showmance.

Into pranking clips. All about Tiffany now. Requesting stuff from the Diary Room.

Now the three stand at the Memory Wall talking about the Cookout. An interesting talk about how Blacks are often perceived and how there are so many cultural differences among Blacks themselves as there are with any group. Each person brings something different to the table.

Videos from home. Derek's Mom. Xavier's CAT ... and family. Azah'xs parents. I like how Azah's father talked about her maintaining her integrity while Derek's mother told him to stop cussing.

BB23: Live Feeds - HoH Part 1 Winner - Sept. 23

Pillow, of course. He does NOT belong there!

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of The Final Three:

  • The live feeds were blocked for over 12 hours yesterday.
  • By the time they came back on, they had seen the videos from home (tonight's show) and played Part 1 of the three-part HOH comp.
  • I know it will shock you.
  • I hope you are sitting down.
  • But, Derek ...
  • ... lost!
  • Heh.
  • Of course, Xavier won.
  • Since the feeds returned so late and they all went to bed fairly early for this group, there wasn't a lot of talk.
  • No strategizing whatsoever.
  • After all, what is there to strategize about?
  • They talked about the Kyland exit last night, how disrespectful he was and has been all summer long, how he had done them wrong all summer long, etc.
  • Derek, in particular, pulled out his Card of Delusion and kept talking Kyland's game down when compared to his own.
  • Now, I thought Kyland's exit last night was very low class and I thought some of his moves and quirks over the summer were a bit sketchy.
  • But Derek is in no place to talk.
  • He did absolutely NOTHING all summer but lay around, get nasty-mouthed, judge others and whine.
  • At least Kyland played the game.
  • They also talked about their videos from home.
  • Aw, Xavier misses his cat.
  • That's all I have for you.

Still hanging all over Xavier. Sigh.

Always paces while he thinks game

BB23: Live Final Four Eviction Show Blog Party - Sept. 23

Welp, we're getting down to the wire. It's the final four about to become the final three tonight. We will see the Power of Veto ceremony in which Xavier can save someone ... or not. And, then whoever is NOT on the block is the sole vote and has to vote right in front of them! The power! But also the stress for that person! There is a show tomorrow night at 8PM EDT/PDT, then on Sunday as well. The season finale is next Wednesday, the 29th.

I'll be live blogging and constantly updating this entry with the latest happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest news! As always, the real party is in the comments area -- I hope to see you there!

Julie is wearing a shiny red dress and ... we're into the "Previously On" segment. ah, good -- we will see Tiffany and Hannah at the Jury House.

Day 79 and Julie promises us the final three. But we knew that. We go right into Derek's big dilemma ... Azah or Kyland or even ending up on the block himself. Good. He needs the stress. He's only had the stress of laying around and failing at every comp all season. Kyland, rightfully, is very uneasy. He is right -- he's been working and having to make decisions while Derek has not all summer.

Now Derek is whining to both Azah and Xavier. Azah is nervous but she really hasn't had the risks so far in the game that Kyland has had. She offers to off Kyland if Xavier takes her off the block. Derek is worried that going back on his word will look bad on his "resume." Um. What resume is that?

Derek thinks he has done so much more in the game than Azah. Um. Really. I've watched the live feeds all summer. You did NUTHIN' Derek. I'm sorry. I just can't get over how delusional he is! Neither him nor Azah have played the game well and they only made it this far due to Xavier wanting a sure win. Once again, the show is editing him to be something other than he is.

Xavier tells us he is considering having Azah come down because she will definitely do his bidding and vote out Kyland.

Tiffany enters the Jury House. She is a bit nervous about how they will take the reasoning behind the Cookout. She shows them the HOH when Kyland wins. Then the Veto comp. Alyssa thinks Kyland wants to take Xavier to the final two. Tiffany explains Day One Cookout and how she didn't want to go after anyone of color. First it was an understanding, then the name. It was a team goal to have the first Black winner. She tells them about the duo Master Plan.

Hannah arrives. She plays the DVDs of the HOH and Veto. Tiffany has it right ... Xavier will put himself against an easy win.

To the living room ...

Xavier does not use the POV.

Azah - Thanks God, shout outs. Big D, underestimated and overlooked, true best friend, love you.

Kyland - Shout outs. Derek - so thankful for all of you, what we have done is in my heart. Would mean the world for me ...

Derek - Loves both on a personal level, played for myself. Evicts Kyland. Kyland is not happy with Xavier. Ohh ... almost a fight as Kyland brings up the bad example he's setting for his nephew!

Julie announces doubling the prize for AFP - 50K. Vote by text 97979 houseguest name.

Tomorrow night the final three hear from their families. Sunday is Part One of the HOH. Wednesday, an hour later than usual, two hour season finale.

BB23: Live Feeds into Thursday - September 23

Well, at least she can still laugh

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Boring Bandicoots:

  • I still don't have much for you.
  • Things remain the same.
  • Although Azah has been chomping at the bit for Xavier to save her with the veto saying she would have no problem evicting Kyland, it looks like Xavier will stick with Derek to do the dirty deed.
  • Although Derek has been hesitant, he will do whatever Derek wants.
  • Being delusional as he is, Derek actually seems to think he has a chance to win against Xavier.
  • I typed that with a straight face.
  • But now I'm guffawing.
  • Seriously, he thinks he has done so much in the game.
  • The others have been just acting as enablers.
  • Derek had no real idea how the final HOH three-part comp worked. He thought all three could play in all three parts.
  • @@
  • Kyland has been assured by Xavier that he's okay.
  • However, he fears he's not okay.
  • Yep, keep fearing, buddy. Your bro whose butt you saved at times is going to have his minion Derek wipe you out.
  • I'm not the only one picking up on Derek constantly digging in his ears.
  • Azah asked him if he got some sexual gratification from digging in his ears!
  • Bwahaha!
  • Derek has been practicing his speech against Xavier in the final two.
  • They have been napping, cooking, eating and playing cards.
  • That's all she wrote.

Why, Azah? Why? He is USING you.

They've killed Kyland! Oh? He's just stretching?

Exciting Go Fish card games

Digging in his ear ... again. Disgusting habit!

BB23: Power of Veto Show Blog Party - Sept. 22

Here we are -- the final Power of Veto comp of the season! And, it's the most important one, too. After all, we have one HOH and two nominees ... the fourth person is the sole vote that decides the final three. Unless the HOH wins the veto, that is. Still it's just that one vote. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll see that vote happen until tomorrow's live show. But, maybe.

I will be live blogging and constantly updating this post as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest news! As always, the real party is in the comments area. Please feel free to join in on the fun!

Previously On is being ignored by me as per usual. We pick up the action after the nominations ceremony. Xavier nominated Azah and Kyland and tells us he wants to go to the final two with Derek.

Derek tells us he wants to go to the final three with Xavier and Kyland and is sad that he might have to vote out Azah. He tells her that he has final two deals first with Xavier, then Kyland. He's messing with his ear again. That habit is disgusting! Azah is upset that it sounds like a final three deal with the guys.

Derek tells Kyland that he's in a bad spot with Azah and told her he had previous deals. Kyland tries to tell him that he (Ky) is in a worse spot than he is -- he's worried about making it to final three while Derek is worried about final two. Kyland has a point. Derek is annoying for someone carried by others the whole game.

Xavier is talking to Azah and tells her that Kyland is a strong competitor and he's not certain about how that would work out. He tells us that his odds of winning against either Azah or Derek are so much better.

Ohh ... Kyland tells Derek he has done for him but Derek hasn't done much for him at all. Derek tells Kyland that their final two deal is dead until after veto. Kyland tells him he would be best to leave the conversation and leaves the room.

Segment on bad habits. Kyland sniffing tortillas and other things throughout the house.

Derek talks with Xavier. Xavier tries to plant seeds to vote out Kyland. He says they can both beat Azah. Derek tells us he really wants to honor the final three deal with Xavier and Kyland. Xavier has hinted quite boldly that he would prefer a final three with Azah rather than Kyland.

Xavier chooses Azah to see the CSI screening he won with the HOH comp. He says he chose her because her HOH was so short.

Derek apologizes to Azah for making her think he didn't care or didn't have her back.

Time for the veto comp. BB Winning Days. The backyard is seesaws, they have to walk down and fill the veto cart with balls adding up to the number of days different comps were won. First is the day they met OTEV. Last player to answer gets a strike, two strikes is out. Azah is first on the first round, then Kyland. Then Xavier. Derek was last and got a strike.

Second was the day BB NFT appeared on Memory Wall. Xavier first, Azah, Derek ... Kyland gets a strike.

Round three -- Day Christian won his second veto comp. Xavier, then Azah, Derek ... Kyland eliminated.

Round four -- the day the oven caught on fire. Azah isn't sure of the day, neither does Xavier. Derek isn't really sure. Pigs are flying ... Derek was first, then Xavier, Azah gets a strike.

Round five - day the first Wild Card comp played. Derek AGAIN first, Xavier second, Azah eliminated.

Round six -- the day the Cookout became the final six in the house. XAVIER WINS THE POWER OF VETO!

Kyland feels very vulnerable and cries in the DR. He kept Xavier safe. Will Xavier do the same for him? He feels paranoid. Xavier comes in and tells him there is to be no veto talk today, saving them for tomorrow. Kyland tells him he doesn't know why they would need to talk. Xavier is sidestepping Kyland's questions.

Neither Kyland nor Azah feel really safe with Derek being the sole vote. The veto meeting will be on tomorrow's live show.

Survivor 41: Season Premiere Blog Party

Are y'all ready? Tonight's show is two hours (leading into Big Brother). Since it is so long and I will probably have a lot to write about, the blog pool match-ups as well as images/names of the new castaways are at THIS LINKED POST. That post can be used as a cheat sheet until we get used to the names!

I will try to keep updating the best I can through tonight's show as it airs here on the East Coast -- it's always hard until I get the names down and I won't really have the luxury of checking out my own cast cheat sheet while updating! Refresh this page to get the latest news. As always, the real party is in the comments area. Please feel free to join in on the fun!

It sounds like we're in for some changes according to Jeff. And, I'm not just talking the 26 instead of 39. They're running clips of the new castaways. Tiffany was an alternate. Except for her, all the others were in a holding pattern during the pandemic. The tribes are being boated to a barge already wearing the color buffs. Naseer learned English by watching Survivor from season 21 on.

Jeff asks them if calling them all "guys" is okay. No one objects. I don't object either. As long as he doesn't call them all "dudes." He tells them it's a shorter season, very meager supplies -- one machete, one flint, no rice. Gameplay has never been more dangerous.

They have to find their color-coded six paddles, get in tribe boat, go retrieve flint. Only one tribe gets the machete and flint. The others get nothing. Yase (yellow) can't even find their paddles! Ua (green) pulled out in front of Luvu (blue) who didn't release one of their anchors. Oops! Ua wins the machete and flint!

Ua is pulling together nicely. Jairus, one of the child castaways (born 2001) even made fire. Yase has to choose between two tasks. If they complete one they can earn supplies. The physical challenge has them filling barrels with ocean water, only two in there. David who wanted the savvy challenge (solving a triangle riddle) rather than sweat got drafted. He's not happy. On Luvu, they also go for the water hauling.

Genie has been married to her wife for 25 years. Ricard is married to his transgender pregnant husband and they have a daughter. On Luvu, Danny and Deshawn carry the water AND search for idols! Uh-oh ... Naseer sees them and tells the others! Nothing like putting targets on their backs on the first day!

Liana and Evvie are bonding. Yase's Abraham is already pointing out what he perceives as weaknesses on his tribe. Heck, they were ALL weak if they missed that paddle!

Jairus is called JD. He is working with Brad already. JD seems to be rubbing many the wrong way and Ricard and the women already have him on their radar.

Both tribes finished the water challenge. One of the women tell Danny and Deshawn that Naseer told them they were looking for idols so now they decide that Naseer needs to go first.

Luvu has a visitor which needs one of them to go with him. Danny volunteers. Xander goes for Yase. JD pulls rocks with his tribe and ends up getting the odd rock.

The three see a sign telling them to go to the summit and get to know each other. JD tells us he was picked on while growing up. His Survivor "heroes" like Ozzy and Woo gave him inspiration.

At the top of the summit, a sign directs them to separate and make a decision. They can protect their vote, risk their vote. If all choose the first all stays the same. Risk has them risk to get an extra vote. Danny wants Protect. It doesn't show what the other two decided.

Danny tells his tribe the truth. Xander risked it and told his tribe. He said he did it for the team. JD tells them he protected his vote. They all think he's lying.

First Immunity Challenge is at hand. The game must be afoot. Ricard brings up that he doesn't like "guys." Jeff is happy. He won't say it again. He tells them of a new twist at Tribal. Shot in the Dark. Don't vote, reach in for a 1 in 6 shot for safety in the voting booth.

Over and under obstacles to sled, load puzzle pieces, clear track, pull up track and two members solve puzzle. Two losing tribes go to Tribal, two going home. Both losing tribes lose their flint.

LUVU wins Immunity! Ua and Yase have to give Jeff their flints.

Tiffany and Liana want to target Abraham while Abraham wants David and Xander to target Tiffany. They bring in Evvie who acts like she agrees. Evvie works on David to switch the target to Abraham. Tiffany knows her name is out there. She goes looking for an idol. Jeff shows us where he hid it and she goes right by it.

Sara is crying on her tribe. Ricard is pushing for JD to go. He talks to the others and they all seem to be on board. Brad comes along and says JD is strong and the weak players are Shantel and Sara.

Yase and Ua head off to Tribal Council to face Jeff's Probsting questions. First up is Yase. In answer Abraham talks about moving on with the strengths. Tiffany says he talks around in circles. Jeff starts asking and talking about the Shot in the Dark. Xander collects his extra vote at the booth.

Jeff goes to tally the votes. Tiffany, Abraham, Abraham, Abraham, Abraham. That's four, enough. Abraham is the first out. He didn't see it coming at all but it's all his fault.

Ua goes in. Jeff congratulates them on the first win they had from the vote. JD again says he protected his vote. Hmm. Jeff brings up to Sara about the puzzle piece she accidentally left in the bag which cost them the challenge. Uh-oh ... whispering while JD is talking. Sara and Shan were the names out there. Whoa! Ricard just whispered to JD to vote Brad! They all bring their dice for Shot in the Dark. YES! JD was lying! He has the extra vote!

Jeff tallies the votes. Ricard, Sara, Brad, Sara, Sara. Sara is voted out.

BB23: Live Feeds into Wednesday - Sept. 22

Laying about but smiling

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Doldrums Dogs:

  • I haven't been reporting much because there isn't much to be reported.
  • There still isn't.
  • But I feel guilty for not posting.
  • It's them.
  • Not me.
  • There have been the same revolving conversations regarding the veto over and over again.
  • Xavier nominated Azah and Kyland.
  • He wants Kyland out.
  • If the veto isn't used Thursday night, Derek will have the only evote.
  • Derek will most likely do what Xavier wants but keeps playing devil's advocate with himself.
  • He doesn't really want the "blood on his hands" for voting out Kyland.
  • Meanwhile, Azah has told Xavier if he took her off the block, she would have no issue with voting out Kyland.
  • Derek is still laying on any piece of soft furniture he can find and bragging about how much he's done in the game and what a fantastic social game he has.
  • He thinks that all kinds of doors are going to be opened to this cast.
  • As a matter of fact, this cast in general have delusions of grandeur after the show ends.
  • While they are making BB history and hats off to them for that -- it's basically only a "thing" for BB fans, not Hollywood.
  • And, certainly, Derek is going to have a rude awakening when he reads internet comments.
  • But he did it to himself.
  • Then there's Kyland.
  • Although I show a screen cap of him cleaning, he is so far from sanitary that it skeeves me out to even think about it.
  • At one point he blew his nose into a paper napkin, then continued to wipe the counter with it.
  • Another time he put a tortilla over his face and continued to cook with it.
  • I just don't know.
  • Remember ... tonight's show is on at 10PM EDT/PDT after the season premiere of Survivor 41.

Ohh! He's sitting up a bit!

Large but neat bites

I'm not sure I trust his sweeping
