Big Brother 15: Live Eviction, HoH Comp Show Blog Party - August 22

First off, I want to thank those who have donated to the blog through the Paypal link. I do spend a lot of time with the updates, more so than the blog parties, and it's appreciated! I also want to thank everyone, for the most part, for actual discussion on the live feeds posts. We have the best BB followers anywhere right here on this blog!

Onto tonight ... as the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this post with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest! As we know the jury members are going to be in competition for one to return, plus we expect an HoH comp (unless they do it all in one comp), I think the action may go on after the show ends. If it does, I'll create a new post covering the HoH comp if it doesn't make the air. After all, why should we wait until Sunday?

The real party is in the comments area ... come join in on the fun -- I just ask that it's kept to a PG level and, remember, we're here for the entertainment!

So far, we see a lot of Helen campaigning.

Speech time - Spencer, pretty much the same as before. Helen - Hello to family and friends, thanks to husband, time of my life, would love to stay.

The votes:
McCrae - Helen
Amanda - Helen
Elissa - Spencer
Andy - Helen
GinaMarie - Helen

Helen is evicted. But will she remain gone?

After Helen sees the goodbye messages, Julie tells her that she and the other jury members will have a comp to get back in the game.

Okay, for now all four jurors have been allowed in the house. Everybody's hugging. All have to go to the backyard.

Two epic competitions in one is promised ... after the commercial break.

The comp is "Off the Wall." Same comp for both jurors and regular hamsters. First to catch ten balls without falling, wins. If a juror gets the ten first, they not only return, but are HoH. They're going up and down and in and out on little platforms against a wall. Now the sprinklers are on them.

As I predicted, the comp is running past air time. I will set up a separate post to follow the comp on the live feeds ... the update post is up! (Too bad the feeds aren't back yet.)

Big Brother 15: Live Feeds Wednesday into Thursday - August 21-22

I wouldn't let them in MY bed. Ew.

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Loose Morals and a Couple of Moms:
  • If Helen even had the slightest thought that Elissa would work with Aaryn, that's blown out of the water now.
  • Aaryn thinks that Elissa is the worst human being on Earth.
  • Aaryn thinks only the manipulative players are left in the house.
  • Well, except for her, Spencer and GinaMarie, yeah.
  • It's Big Brother.
  • Elissa tried to explain that telling people you'll evict them (if given the opportunity) isn't a "threat."
  • Nah, it's more of a "promise."
  • Elissa told the cameras that Andy is a liar.
  • We knew that. We know a lot. Give us some credit.
  • Aaryn is upset because Elissa pointed out that Amanda/McCrae are taking credit for all of her HoH moves while the blood is on her hands.
  • True dat.
  • Meanwhile, Helen keeps trying to rein Elissa in.
  • I don't think that will work.
  • Once Helen goes, Elissa will either work with Amanda or just explode against Aaryn/GinaMarie.
  • Helen has decided that, since she's going home, she wants things to be cool and friendly for her time left in the house.
  • Amanda thinks Aaryn is arrogant and GinaMarie is dumb.
  • Of course, she didn't tell them that.
  • Amanda compared herself to Dr. Will.
  • Sigh. She just might be right. But I liked him. He put on a good show for the live feeders. She doesn't. She just manipulates and doesn't win comps.
  • Helen said she plans to campaign a bit more just in case there might be a chance.
  • They think the house decorations are from Target.
  • I think a dollar store.
  • To her credit, Elissa tried to get in with Spencer. At least she's trying to ally with someone rather than burning bridges everywhere she goes.
  • Yikes. Aaryn took a sip of nail polish remover claiming she thought it was her water bottle. I don't know why she swallowed the fly, perhaps she'll die.
  • No, she didn't swallow a fly and isn't going to die. But drinking nail polish remover isn't a good idea.
  • Amanda said she had a miscarriage while in the process of getting aboard the show.
  • Um. Okay. McCrae might want to think about her previous boyfriend and how recent that was. Oh, and if the previous boyfriend had a career and earned real money.
  • Amanda thinks that Elissa is jealous of Aaryn.
  • Oh, give me a break.
  • At one point as Amanda ranted on about MVP and Elissa, the BB voice told her, "Amanda, stop using production as your strategy."
  • That was odd.
  • GinaMarie got on a crying jag -- her birthday is Thursday, she's tired of seeing the Amanda/McCrae relationship while Nick was taken away from her, on and on.
  • But, her good friends in the house (@@) put on a party for her, all wearing her clothes and Spencer even in make-up, at midnight.
  • "I love youse guys."
  • They each told her their favorite GinaMarie moment in the house.
  • Woohoo.
  • There ya go ...

I love youse guys. And Nick. I love Nick more.

GinaMarie's birthday party

Why am I in here with lowlifes and idiots?

I'm going home. I love you all.

Big Brother 15: PoV Competition Show Blog Party - August 21

I'd say we might want to drink anytime we see a hamster! Hiccup! At least I know that the comp they will have tonight should be fun to watch. As tonight's show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest!

As always, the real party is in the comments area. Please remember, we're just watching this for entertainment. There's no need for hate and viciousness. Let's leave that to the hamsters themselves. Come join the party!

Oh, and for those interested, I posted on the cast announcement for Survivor earlier today ...

Lots of filler with Amanda wanting to pit Helen against Elissa and vice versa.

PoV player picks - Aaryn picks GinaMarie, Helen picks Spencer, Elissa got HG choice and goes for Andy.

Veto comp! It's the OTEV veto comp for the season ... always fun. Otev is the broken-hearted beaver who lost the love letters he wrote.

GinaMarie is out first round. Then Helen went out. Andy out.

Elissa is a machine in this comp once she finds the right letter.

Aaryn out. It's down to Spencer and Elissa.

Elissa wins the Power of Veto!

Amanda tells Elissa that Spencer will go up, Helen will go home. She does this to get Elissa to trust her.

More filler with Aaryn arguing with Amanda.

Veto meeting -- Elissa takes herself off the block, promises to vote to keep Helen. Aaryn nominates Spencer, the safe move again.

Big Brother 15: Live Feeds into Wednesday Afternoon - August 21

Stop biting your nails. Just stop it. It's disgusting.

In my last report, I mentioned they're being very boring. They still are. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Sleepy Snoozefests:
  • If McCrae was a Have Not, he'd probably get a penalty nomination for constantly eating his fingernails. Horribly disgusting and unsanitary.
  • The live feeds themselves have been funky all day -- only the Quad Cam is live, the rest are stuck on around midnight last night.
  • Perhaps the cams got bored, too.
  • Spencer and Andy speculated that GinaMarie will end up either in jail or a psychiatric ward.
  • Yeah, I can see that.
  • Andy told McCrae that Helen's really a lobbyist. McCrae is impressed.
  • Of course, it doesn't take a lot to impress a pizza dude careerwise.
  • Elissa said her parents didn't allow the children to watch television when she was young.
  • Oh my. And Rachel came from that household?
  • Helen, though seeming to accept the fact she's leaving tomorrow, is still campaigning.
  • Elissa actually thinks there's a chance Helen might stay.
  • I don't think so.
  • Aaryn told Spencer that she thinks that Amanda/Andy/McCrae will target her next even though they said they wouldn't.
  • Perhaps not NEXT, but surely relatively soon, I say.
  • Andy and Spencer are willing to sit back and watch Amanda and Aaryn try to oust each other. As long as it's not them ...
  • Amanda has been whining and fussing about her meds or the lack thereof.
  • I personally kind of wonder, especially with a young supposedly healthy cast, why so many are on regularly prescribed medications. I certainly wasn't at that age.
  • Helen cried to Aaryn.
  • Aaryn cried about Helen's crying.
  • Gah.
  • Aaryn knows she's been played like a fiddle by McCrae/Amanda and, to a lesser point, Helen.
  • She's in an emotional quandary, but there seems to be little she can do.
  • That is because Andy would be the deciding vote.
  • And, they fear he's been brainwashed by Amanda.
  • He basically has. I believe if someone else were to put her on the block and the votes were there so he could be one in the crowd, he'd oust her.
  • But, go against her while she's still totally in the game?
  • No way!
  • When confronted, Andy told Elissa that Amanda never threatened him like they are.
  • I'd say more pressured than threatened.
  • But why would Amanda threaten him? He's been her platonic puppy dog running to her all season with what everyone else is saying. He won't go until she has no one left to target besides him and McCrae.
  • Andy told Amanda that Helen threatened him.
  • @@
  • Even Aaryn went to Amanda and told her that Elissa/Helen were saying bad things about her.
  • All hail Amanda.
  • Well played game so far.
  • But you don't know how much I want to witness the downfall!

Survivor: Blood vs. Water Cast Announced

Hmm ... lots of familiar faces. You can check them out at the CBS website for yourselves, but here's who's on and my thoughts about them:

Tyson Apostol / Rachel Foulger, dating
Ages: 34 / 33
Provo, UT
Former pro cyclist / cocktail waitress/graphic designer
Survivor: Tocantins, 2nd jury member
Heroes vs. Villains, 6th voted out
My thoughts: Tyson was a strong competitor. I believe we might have a contender here. The girlfriend seems smart, but that doesn't always win the show.

Aras Baskauskas / Vytas Baskauskas, brothers
Ages 31 / 33
Santa Monica, CA
Musician / yoga instructor/math professor
Survivor: Panama - Exile Island, winner
My thoughts: I liked Aras. I thought he was a very deserving winner in his season. With the brother along, this might be a likable alpha male team.

Rupert Boneham / Laura Boneham, married
Ages: 49 / 44
Indianapolis, IN
Mentor for teens / merchandiser
Survivor: Pearl Island, 2nd jury member
All Stars, 6th jury member, winner fan-favorite
Heroes vs. Villains, 7th jury member
My thoughts: Really? Rupert again? I have to hear him bellow more? I'm so over that. His horse has done been ridden too much. I know he has fans, but I'm not in the bunch.

Candice Cody / John Cody, married
Ages: 30
Washington D.C.
Physicians
Survivor: Cook Islands, 5th jury Member
Heroes vs. Villains, 5th jury Member
My thoughts: I wasn't all that keen on Candice returning the first time she returned. But this could be interesting with the husband along for the ride.

Monica Culpepper / Brad Culpepper, married
Ages: 42 / 44
Tampa, FL
Former NFL wife; attorney, retired NFL player
Survivor: One World, 5th voted out
My thoughts: Well, this might be revenge on Colton! Cool. He deserves it.

Colton Cumbie / Caleb Bankston, engaged
Ages: 22 / 26
Collinsville, AL
Student teacher / post officer manager
Survivor: One World, 6th out, medically evacuated
My thoughts: I don't like Colton. While I really enjoyed the evil ways of Richard Hatch in the first season, Colton is nasty and seems to feel very privileged. While I don't want him to be medically evacuated again, I hope he doesn't last long. Sorry, Caleb.

Kat Edorsson / Hayden Moss, dating

Ages: 23 / 26
Orland, FL / Springtown, TX
Student / real estate
Survivor: One World, 6th jury member / Big Brother 12 winner for Hayden
My thoughts: I didn't know they were dating! I hope Hayden has more manageable hair on this show than he did on BB. He could very well do quite well, but it's a lot different than being stuck in a house for three months.

Laura Morett / Ciera Eastin, mother/daughter
Ages: 43 / 24
Salem, OR
Construction business owner / cosmetology student
Survivor: Samoa, 3rd jury member
My thoughts: I don't find Laura all that particularly memorable. Hmm. The daughter seems to have spunk. My jury is out on this one.

Gervase Peterson / Marissa Peterson, uncle/niece
Ages: 43 / 21
Philadelphia, PA / Chapel Hill, NC
Cigar lounge owner / student
Survivor: Borneo, 3rd jury member
My thoughts: Gervase? Gervase?!? My memories of him had him as very likable, often wearing a hat ... and lounging about camp! I hope he'll put more into the effort this time!

Tina Wesson / Katie Collins, mother/daughter
Ages: 52 / 25
Robbinsville, NC and New York, NY
Motivational speaker / hedge fund support
Survivor: Australia, Winner
All Stars, 1st Voted Out
My thoughts: Tina played a good game, but if memory serves, she virtually "stole" the win from Colby Donaldson. This could be interesting. She's no spring chicken these days.

While I'm never keen on reality shows having returning players, at least this concept for the season is relatively fresh. Your thoughts?

The season premiere is September 18th. Be here or be square.

Big Brother 15: Live Feeds Tuesday Into the Evening - August 20

I'm happy being third!

Oh my gosh. Today was just about the most boring day EVER in the history of mankind on the live feeds. Yes, really. Here's the skinny on what went down today in that Big Brother House of the Doldrums:
  • Helen knows she's leaving Thursday.
  • Helen thinks she can pep talk Elissa into winning HoH.
  • Meanwhile, Elissa is resigned to a diet of pickles because she claims she's allergic to slop. Apparently the head cheese and habenaro peppers aren't to her liking either.
  • Of course, I would balk at both of those items myself.
  • That was rather cruel of us.
  • But they deserve it.
  • Helen said she'd vote for Amanda at the end if Amanda gets there.
  • When Helen said that Aaryn is really concerned what America will think of her, Elissa said they (we) would see what a horrible person she really is.
  • Heh.
  • For each nice thing Helen said about Aaryn, Elissa came up with a negative.
  • "She's the kind of woman who'll steal your man."
  • Oh, my. Was she channeling Rachel for a moment?
  • Helen really likes GinaMarie.
  • I never thought we'd see that coming.
  • Elissa, on the other hand, thinks that GM is a bit ridiculous.
  • I agree with her.
  • As a side note: GinaMarie is NOT from New Jersey despite folks thinking she is. She's from the least cool NYC borough of Staten Island (as was most of the cast of The Jersey Shore). That is NOT New Jersey, it's actually not even very much New York City as folks think of it. It's an island where they talk funny and think they're tough.
  • So, the whole early part of the day was spent with Elissa and Helen analyzing the character of their fellow hamsters, past and present.
  • YAWN.
  • By 2 in the afternoon their time (5om my time!), the other hamsters were up and stumbling about.
  • Sheesh.
  • Amanda wants to work with Elissa.
  • Uh-huh. We've heard that before.
  • Sure enough, she later talks with her crew and discounts everything Elissa said.
  • Aaryn once again had the nerve to tell Amanda she doesn't think Helen and Elissa were coming after her and GinaMarie and that Amanda told her that.
  • What? You dare question the Queen of BB15 Hamsters?!?!?!
  • McCrae admitted to Spencer, GM and Aaryn that his online BB fan friends probably hate the McCranda showmance.
  • Well, yeah. A superfan involved with the online presence for the show has totally whacked his own game being a servant to Queen of BB15 Hamsters!
  • I so wonder how McCrae would have done without the relationship.
  • Aaryn thinks they picked them as the cast because they're all crazy.
  • I say they picked them and recruited many for looks and forgot to give the psychiatric testing in the process.
  • YAWN.
  • Grr, Clownie didn't even die today. That's been the highlight daily for most of the week. Perhaps Andy ran out of ways to kill him.
  • Tomorrow should be more of the same.
  • I really hope the returning hamster on Thursday livens up this snoozefest!

We're surrounded by characters, but we're not characters

I have such a bright future ahead!

I'd have to disinfect the bed. Ew.

I have everything! The man of my dreams, 500 grand!

Big Brother 15: Live Feeds Monday Night into Tuesday - August 19-20

They'll ride it to the end

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of the Fickle Finger of Fate:
  • At least Spencer has his small joys -- he's thrilled with the free clothes they get in comps and even more if they win HoH.
  • Aaryn thinks she will be put on the block with GinaMarie.
  • Probably.
  • Aaryn and Amanda talked about "what if" they were the final two.
  • Aaryn thinks that any of them (her, Amanda, McCrae or Andy) could beat GinaMarie, Elissa, or Spencer in the final two.
  • Probably.
  • Helen told McCrae he might be being portrayed as a little puppy dog following Amanda.
  • Well, yeah, there's certainly that aspect in there!
  • Then she kept after him trying to get him to vote for her to stay. Will that happen?
  • Probably not.
  • Helen said that Amanda is probably being portrayed as a bully.
  • Would that need "portraying" per se?
  • Probably not.
  • Amanda got all upset with the talk that she's being portrayed as a bully.
  • Heehee!
  • GinaMarie thinks she (GM) is a "nice girl."
  • Eep.
  • Both Aaryn and McCrae told Amanda not to say anything about her building anger regarding the bully comments.
  • When Amanda was going on about never bullying anyone in the house, Spencer spoke up and pointed out that she bullied him for his vote to go the way she wanted, threatening he'd be out next, at one point.
  • I don't say this often, perhaps not ever at all ... but, you go, Spencer!
  • Helen wonders what Amanda is like outside the house.
  • I don't think I want to know. She can disappear from my life after the season is over. I don't want to know her any better.
  • Helen also thinks McCrae and Amanda aren't a good match for each other.
  • I think outside the game, she's right. In the game, they're obviously doing something right. I guess.
  • Amanda thinks Helen will taint the jury against her.
  • I say they're probably already tainted.
  • Helen thinks McCrae has deprived himself of the full BB experience due to being with Amanda.
  • I personally wonder what the superfan McCrae would have done on his own in the game.
  • Helen also said that if Amanda makes it to the end without ever winning any comps, it would be hard not to vote for her.
  • Helen is pretty resigned that she will be leaving on Thursday. She asked Elissa if she wanted her to leave anything behind for her.
  • Aw.
  • But it's too late for could have, should have. Amanda and crew played it stronger.
  • Aaryn, Andy and GinaMarie want to be the final three.
  • We'll see about that.

Will they be targeted soon?

Big Brother 15: Live Feeds Monday Daytime, PoV Meeting - August 19

Off the block smiles!

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of People Your Parents Warned You About:
  • Helen told Aaryn that, if she she goes home this week, she won't go crazy.
  • Elissa thinks that Amanda is trying to turn Helen and her against each other.
  • Y'think?
  • Aaryn thinks that if she puts Spencer on the block instead of Amanda, Helen might have a better chance of staying.
  • Aaryn said that Spencer would not vote for Amanda to go if she goes on the block.
  • If she puts Spencer on the block, it's Andy who would be the deciding vote.
  • I fear, from watching him all season on the live feeds, he won't cross Amanda.
  • Amanda found it fun to leave a large mess in the kitchen for Helen or Elissa to clean up as they're the ones most likely to do it.
  • Instead, Helen, Elissa and Andy separated out excess dinnerware and locked it up so no one can again dirty all the dishes.
  • Then, at the PoV meeting, Elissa took herself off the block as expected.
  • (She's dippy, but she's no Marcellas!)
  • Aaryn put Spencer on the block in her place. So it's Spencer and Helen on the block this week.
  • They have no clue that the four jury members (including the one voted out on Thursday) will vie to return to the house to play the game.
  • Aaryn, Elissa, Helen, GinaMarie and Andy had a big pow-wow in the HoH bathroom.
  • They tried to talk sense into Andy -- telling him that neither McCrae nor Amanda would take him to the final two if he made the final three. They would be too sure he'd have the jury votes for the win.
  • They also said that if Amanda heard wind of the conversation, they'd know who told her. They all looked at Andy.
  • He seriously looked like he was thinking about it and considering their points.
  • Aaryn seriously thinks McCrae and Amanda will get married.
  • I don't. Or, if they do, I'd give it six months ... or until their winnings were spent.
  • If they can get the five to stick with it, that's three votes to keep Helen while only McCrae and Amanda would vote for her to leave.
  • And none of them are that thrilled with Spencer ... except maybe Andy.
  • So, it all goes back to Andy.
  • They think it would level the playing ground so they all have a chance at the win instead of a definite McCrae/Amanda sweep.
  • But, it goes back to Andy.
  • Andy's first input in the conversation? "I know I have to draw the line. I've been friends with everybody."
  • Um. Okay.
  • After Andy left the room, Elissa warned GinaMarie and Aaryn to watch what they say in front of Andy as he runs to Amanda with it.
  • Of course, if he leaks this, he's got all them angry at him instead of just one raving lunatic Amanda.
  • Andy later tried to tell GinaMarie and Aaryn that if Elissa wins HoH, she'll target them.
  • He continued to tell them they need to vote out Helen.
  • Okay. We know he can't be depended on to be the vote to save Helen.
  • He might as well be mini-McCrae, following Amanda's lead.
  • And, sure enough ... when Amanda woke up, he told her all.

Big Brother 15: Live Feeds Sunday Night into Monday - August 18-19

Boring, boring

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Friend or Foe:
  • Amanda is still irrationally ticked off because she thinks Helen and Elissa are trying to flip the house against her (and McCrae).
  • Um. That's part of the game. You can't be Ms. Dictator and not expect the ones you oust or try to oust not to strike back. Sheesh.
  • Amanda without McCrae to calm her down probably would have been out long ago. She rants too much when things don't go the way she wants.
  • Meanwhile, as Amanda bristles, Helen tells her she loves her.
  • Oh my.
  • Amanda and McCrae continue to lie to Helen, leaving her to think there's a possibility she might stay.
  • Helen told Andy she loves him.
  • Meanwhile, the more Aaryn thinks, the more upset she becomes.
  • She honestly adores Helen and feels horrible that Helen will go because of her doing the dirty work for Amanda.
  • She feels that Amanda had her do the dirty work and get out Howard.
  • She feels that Amanda had her do the dirty work and get out Judd.
  • Every HoH Aaryn has had has always been about Amanda.
  • Andy tried to tell her that Amanda and McCrae will always be loyal to her.
  • Andy thinks that it's better to stick to Amanda and McCrae in the game.
  • He thinks getting rid of Helen, as much as they hate to do it, keeps them in the game without putting a target on their backs.
  • Aaryn was able to drink when the booze came, so she felt a bit uninhibited as she lashed out at Amanda (who can't drink because she's a Have Not).
  • Amanda lashed back.
  • McCrae once again tried to calm down Amanda who then lashed out at him telling him she was sick of him not having her back.
  • In another world, GinaMarie wants Aaryn to be her maid of honor at the big GinaMarie/Nick wedding.
  • @@
  • Aaryn, who has more insight into the game than Helen seems to have, told GinaMarie that she knows that she's the fourth and most expendable in the McCrae/Amanda/Andy alliance.
  • Aaryn told GinaMarie that Andy told her that Amanda & Co. wanted to split them (GM/Aaryn) up and that's a blow.
  • She's considering putting Amanda up on the block.
  • But then McCrae would be after her and right now she's not on his target list.
  • "This is the Amanda show," says Aaryn.
  • She's right.
  • She says that if Amanda continues to give her grief, she WILL put her up and they would have the votes to put her out.
  • So, then Amanda and Aaryn had another "war of words."
  • Amanda said it's because of her (Amanda) that Aaryn even is in a final four deal.
  • Amanda denied saying that she wants GinaMarie out.
  • Then Aaryn all of a sudden started to believe Andy is lying to her about the GM thing.
  • @@
  • Amanda told Andy that she knows he's believed in her even when McCrae didn't have her back.
  • Aaryn is worried that Amanda will find out that she seriously considered backdooring her.
  • @@
  • I had hope Aaryn might go against the tide and force a Helen/Amanda showdown, but I think she's going to go with the Spencer nom and sending out Helen.
  • Oh well, that's the way the BB ball bounces.

Big Brother 15: Live Feeds Sunday into the Evening - August 18

Aaryn is the neatest HoH this season

Greetings, hamsterfiends! Once again, Sundays tend to be quiet in the house with them sleeping late and no comps. The PoV meeting isn't until tomorrow. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Repugnant Rats:
  • Elissa and Helen started the day off deep-cleaning -- with this bunch of slobs, it's desperately needed.
  • That said, Aaryn seems to be just about the only hamster to actually make her bed daily whether it's the HoH room or another.
  • Helen said that since America is watching, the house should always be clean.
  • Um, it's a bit too late for that! It's like they don't even think of the live feeds, yet clean for the live show each week.
  • This isn't the first season that that's the case, though. Season after season, they only primp for the live show.
  • Elissa told Helen that she heard GinaMarie say that she was going to vote her (Helen) out.
  • Elissa also pointed out that Spencer is acting like he feels really safe.
  • Doggonit, Elissa, just tell Helen that they're planning on voting her out and get it over with!
  • Helen told Aaryn that she doesn't want to be another Jessie and go out like that. She feels Amanda is targeting her.
  • Ah, the wheels are finally cranking!
  • Helen also told her that she thinks the others are trying to cause issues between her/Elissa and Aaryn/GM.
  • She thinks that if she (Helen) goes home, Amanda will use Elissa to go after Aaryn.
  • All said, she did give Aaryn plenty of food for thought. We already know that Aaryn personally likes Helen a lot more than she does Amanda, plus she's been pressured to make the noms.
  • Helen has noticed that Amanda is treating her differently now that she's on the block. Oh my ... could SHE be the target?
  • D'oh!
  • Aaryn starts spilling some of the beans to Helen!
  • She told her that Andy and Amanda have deals going with everyone in the house.
  • While Helen thought Spencer was behind her nomination, Aaryn told her it was McCrae, not Spencer.
  • Could the house be ready for a flip against Amanda?
  • After all, if Elissa takes herself off, Aaryn puts Amanda in her place, gets Helen, GinaMarie and possibly Andy or Spencer to vote with them to oust Amanda ...
  • I think it's probably unlikely, but this is the first rumbling against the machinery in a while that may have credence.
  • When Helen talks to Andy, he admits that he's always trusted her more than he does Spencer and that Amanda/McCrae are after her (Helen).
  • Sigh. In a private talk, Andy and Aaryn said they need to remain loyal until the final four ... with Amanda and McCrae.
  • Andy and Aaryn reported back to McCrae and Amanda.
  • Sigh.
  • Andy pointed out that they need to realize how loyal he's being to them (3am) as he knows Helen would have taken him to the final two.
  • Yeah, right.
  • There was a bit of a respite in the form of the photo booth opening.
  • I dunno. I'm kind of tired of that. I liked the gypsy fortune teller better.
  • Hey, aren't we ready for something to keep them awake all night? We haven't had any of those yet this season. There was the individual things with Amanda and Judd, but not the house.
  • Aaryn's Clownie doll was found hanging in the shower yesterday. Today, he's face-down in the bathtub.
  • Heh.
  • Amanda got all ticked off because she thinks Elissa and Helen are trying to flip the house on her and McCrae.
  • Oh, give me a break! They're ON THE BLOCK. What does she expect them to do?
  • McCrae tries to talk sense into her and calm her down.

A clean house is a happy house. Yeah, right.

Oh noes, what should I do?!?!

Not winning any comps, may win it all

Big Brother 15: Nominations Show Blog Party - August 18

One bad thing about the live feeds is that we'll have no surprises with this one. Oh, well. As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest news!

As always, the real party is in the comments area. Please keep things to a PG level there and remember I don't necessarily endorse any rumors or speculations that I don't personally post. It's just entertainment for me. It's not like I even want to know these hamsters! I'd rather just mock them and critique their gameplay instead. Pull up the comfy chair and let's get this party started!

Ah, they're showing the Amanda hiding behind the trash can crying because she "can't win anything."

SO much filler. We see that Aaryn wants to nom Spencer and Elissa, but that's not what Amanda wants. We see her HoH room. Amanda wants Helen and Elissa up with Helen the target. But she wants Helen to think Elissa is the target. Elissa's playing right into that by making Helen angry when she says she will walk out of jury.

Have/Have Not Comp -- GM doesn't want to be on the same team as Amanda because she's on a losing streak. They have to enter a black box with cobwebs and goo, retrieve a key. GM, Amanda, Helen and Elissa are the Have Nots.

Nominations time -- Key order is: GinaMarie, Spencer, Amanda, McCrae, Andy. Elissa and Helen are on the block. Power-duo who will come after her power-duo. Hmm.

Off Topic: That Was the Week It Was - August 18, 2013

Good morning! It's Sunday morning, time for my weekly off television topic reflection on the week gone by in both words and photographs I've taken along the way. If you're looking for Big Brother television show or live feeds reports, you can find the latest at this link.

It's been another hectic week for me with my real day job and the BB season in full swing. I'll be thankful for September with a staycation and the wrap-up of another season of live feeds. I really feel like a zombie. I hope I don't look like one!

In my real life, I have a new boss at my workplace. Gosh, I hate breaking in new bosses, don't you? More seriously, it's always an adjustment period when this happens. I'm not particularly worried as I'm good at what I do and know my stuff better than most. But, still ... I can tend to be a bit change-resistant, especially when I enjoyed the previous boss. However, life goes on. C'est la vie. She does have a llama, a pig and other farm animals. I have Vincent the cat. So, we have some common ground. (Yeah, that's comparable, for sure!)

We had temperatures that I love for most the week, accompanied by rain for the first part of the week. I could have lived without the latter. But the walk to the train station early on the mornings when it wasn't raining was PERFECT. A bit of an autumn chill in the early morning air. I couldn't ask for more! The days are getting quite noticeably shorter -- sunset is before 8pm again. I know I'm weird, but I like that. I love autumn. It's supposed to be summer again by mid-week this week. Sigh.

On the home front, after not seeing him the first three months he lived here, I keep encountering the now not-so-new upstairs neighbor. He's always so pleasant that he could make noise and I wouldn't be mad. Yet, he's very quiet up there, even in his walking on the hardwood floors. Best upstairs neighbor ever in that apartment! Woohoo! He also seems happy here, so he may stay around for a while. It is a nice quiet neighborhood.

How was your week?

Onto the photos ...

Big Brother 15: Live Feeds Late Night Saturday into Sunday - August 17-18

Aw, poor pitiful GinaMarie

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Better Them Than Us:
  • Of course, none of us would be foolish enough to make fools of ourselves on national television and the Internet for three months with a slight possibility of winning a rather (in the long run) paltry sum.
  • In my last little bulletin, I made the announcement that Elissa won the PoV comp and that it was this season's Otev variation.
  • For those questioning the comp, it's the one in which a god type entity gives a clue about hamsters who have left this season, they all scramble down a ramp and search for whatever form the answer is (doll, disc, etc.) and return up the ramp with it. The slowest (or wrong) one in each round is eliminated.
  • It can get pretty cut-throat.
  • And, apparently Elissa got to the ruthless point.
  • Well, good for her.
  • Helen did her happy dances and seems genuinely thrilled for Elissa.
  • Now, she thinks that Spencer will be put on the block in Elissa's place, he's the target and she (Helen) is safe.
  • Um, that's not quite the plan.
  • Yes, they plan to put Spencer on the block. But, no. He's not the target.
  • GinaMarie is in a world of self-pity. Naturally, she's disgusted that Elissa won. That would go without saying.
  • But she's even more upset that they didn't have any NICK questions in the comp, yet had Jessie and Judd questions.
  • BWAHAHAHAHAHA!
  • She thinks the producers slighted Nick and is more upset about that than the fact that her hated nemesis won the comp?!?! Is she for realz? (As the Staten Islanders would say.)
  • This season's Otev comp has left them all with bruises and scrapes.
  • Poor hamsters.
  • All of them, except GinaMarie, have been going on about great Elissa did in the comp.
  • Amanda thinks Elissa is more dangerous than Spencer and if she (Elissa) gets HoH, they need to make sure she targets Spencer.
  • Aaryn thinks that Spencer is more dangerous than Elissa and he must go next week.
  • Spencer pointed out to the others that he was hoping to vote this week for the first time in weeks. They laughed at him.
  • They apparently (or some of them) got love letters from Otev and GM is upset she didn't get one from Nick.
  • @@
  • Aaryn said she's angry at Helen. When Amanda asked her why, Aaryn said it's because Helen says she (Aaryn) is working with them (Amanda, McCrae, etc.). She is, of course. Even Amanda found the "angry" funny.
  • It's sad to see Helen has bought all the lies hook, line and sinker. She really thinks both she and Elissa will stay in the game and Spencer will go home this week.
  • She's dead wrong.
  • And, even though Elissa was talking about self-eviction this past week and on occasion before, I doubt that will happen.
  • GinaMarie cried, then went to the Have Not room to try to sleep.
  • Aaryn laughed at McCrae because he was upset that he made a rather homophobic comment with her influence and he doesn't want people to think he's homophobic. She said she no longer cares what people think and they can slap any label on her.
  • No worries there, Aaryn. They have! And it's all because of your own words and actions.
  • Aaryn thinks the people who watch or follow the live feeds spout things out of context and are mean.
  • Heh.
  • McCrae told her that the online world is part of his own world and he knows when it's wrong to say something.
  • Amanda thinks McCrae must be the most politically correct person in the world.
  • Er, no. But he has been a lot more wise about what he says online.
  • Then again, he got into a huge showmance with the biggest villain in the house. If he loses the game, he will be mocked in BB circles forever. If he wins, everyone will call it shrewd gameplay.
  • Aaryn might be surprised sooner rather than later to find that she's low person on the totem pole of the 3am Alliance. McCrae/Amanda will dump her before they get rid of Andy.
  • Oh my.

He has THOSE socks on, biting his nails again

Bound to be block-bound again

Looking squirmy nervous a lot

Big Brother 15: Live Feeds Bulletin - PoV Winner - August 17

Oh my gosh ... we have a new PoV winner.

ELISSA WON SOMETHING.

To be a bit more clear, she won the Power of Veto. She thinks it's because she wore her sister's colors. It was the Otev comp.

Big Brother 15: Live Feeds Saturday into the Evening - August 17

Turn that frown upside down! Bouncy, bouncy.

"O, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive ..." - Sir Walter Scott. Obviously he had no premonition about the Big Brother house, eh? Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Deceptive Dawgs:
  • With Elissa and Helen on the block, the plan remains the same -- Helen is the real target but they're telling her Elissa is the target.
  • I'm still kind of shocked to see that she's falling for their lies. I thought she was more shrewd than that.
  • Aaryn even told Spencer that Helen wanted him out ... that will help secure his vote.
  • I don't think anyone would be nervous if they thought Elissa was gunning for them.
  • Bwahahaha!
  • Andy asked not to be picked if they choose a "houseguest's choice" tile from the PoV players box.
  • Hmm ... have we even seen one of those this season? I think not, but my memory might just be bad.
  • But then he said he'd go for slop the remainder of the season in PoV if that could send Helen home.
  • So, who knows? He either wants to play or not. Fine.
  • EWW! Aaryn told GinaMarie that John Mayer was the "Frank Sinatra of our time." Oh, that's just so wrong.
  • More trashtalking previous hamsters on and off all day, as well as talking about previous seasons. Yawn.
  • Amanda told Elissa that if she (Elissa) wins veto, she can't give it to Helen or they'll vote her (Elissa) out no matter the replacement.
  • As if Elissa could even win the veto! And, if she won it, dippy as she is, I think she'd be smart enough to use it on herself.
  • However, she (Elissa) is talking about how she wants to leave.
  • When Elissa told Amanda that Helen told her that she (Helen) was told she was safe, Amanda said that Helen should use the veto to save her (Elissa) then (if she wins it).
  • Follow that?
  • Now, if Elissa isn't a complete bobble-head doll, she should realize that she and Helen are being told each other is safe and that Helen is the target.
  • Amanda quickly told her that she and McCrae always wanted her (Elissa) to stay.
  • @@
  • Meanwhile, they now want to convince Helen that Spencer is the target.
  • Wake up, dammit, Helen! Smell the coffee and win that veto or you're gone!
  • Ahem. That was me virtually trying to shake some awareness into Helen.
  • Heh. Spencer told Aaryn that her agency must be getting tons of offers for her. Little do they know ... that just ain't gonna happen!
  • The BB voice in the house has a new line: "Houseguests, remember to enjoy yourselves today. These are the good old days."
  • Okaaaay ...
  • McCrae lied to Helen some more.
  • And, she seemed to believe him.
  • How could she even think he'd buck the trend, not vote her out and work with her to get rid of Amanda?
  • The PoV comp trivia started about 9pm ET. We'll see who wins when the feeds come back.

Big Brother 15: Live Feeds Friday into the night - August 16

Who woulda thunk she'd still be here?

While it's been a day of activity in the house, not so much here on this end as the feeds get blocked for both the Have Not comp and nominations. Here's the day's happenings inside that Big Brother House of Misanthropic Misfits:
  • As I previously mentioned, the 3am Alliance has decided that Helen and Elissa will go on the block. Helen will be told that Elissa is the target and she's only on the block as she would be a vote to keep Elissa.
  • What? The HoH? Silly you ... it's the alliances who make the decisions these days, not the HoH! Where have you been? Under a rock?
  • That said, Aaryn does personally want Elissa out. But, since Elissa isn't really the target -- said target is Helen -- this is not her decision at all.
  • As good as Helen is at playing people, shame on her that she seems to be falling for the lies everyone is telling her. Shame on her.
  • Before the nominations went down, Elissa apologized for her comment about not wanting to sit next to GinaMarie and Aaryn during the live show.
  • So ... Aaryn tells her that she (Elissa) isn't the target. The target is Spencer.
  • (Personally, I'd rather Spencer or Elissa leaving rather than Helen. I think those two, particularly Elissa, have a lot less game in them than Helen.)
  • Amanda told Aaryn that she (Aaryn) needs a vocal coach to strengthen her vocal chords. She needs something. That gurgling almost like it's underwater voice drives me bonkers!
  • Amanda told Helen that Aaryn was going to put her (Helen) on the block with Elissa so that Elissa won't be saved with the veto. Amanda said she wasn't sure if the plan was to backdoor Spencer or what.
  • Now, Helen is buying all these lies.
  • Shame on her. She should know better.
  • Helen is leery enough that she went to Aaryn and promised if she won the veto, she wouldn't use it to save Elissa.
  • Nope, that ain't gonna work because YOU are the target, Helen!
  • All the ongoing lies were put on hold for the Have Not Comp. Woohoo.
  • GinaMarie, Elissa, Helen and Amanda are the new Have Nots.
  • I'd love to see Spencer and McCrae given a stint with this. Wouldn't you?
  • America chose head cheese and habaneros for them. Oh my. If it were me, all I would eat would be the slop!
  • They think head cheese is gross.
  • So do I.
  • Apparently Spencer was the shining star of the comp. Um. Okay.
  • Aaryn told Amanda she really wants Spencer out.
  • So, nominations time came.
  • She nominated Elissa and Helen as per plan.
  • Helen's only chance to save her game would be to win the veto.
  • We'll see.

Big Brother 15: Live Feeds After Hoh Into Friday - August 16

Amanda crying behind the garbage can

Gee, apparently we missed at least one crucial behind the scenes happening during the live show last night. It now gives the green light to put something in motion which was bound to happen anyway. However, now it's easier for the parties involved. What am I talking about? Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Tears and Fears:
  • What we missed is that Elissa said something about not wanting to sit so close to GinaMarie and Aaryn on the couch for the show. They say she made some kind of comment about not wanting to be associated with "girls like that" or something to that effect.
  • Both GinaMarie and Aaryn felt that she was putting them down and acting like she is so much better than them.
  • Uh-oh.
  • But let's get back to right after the show ended ...
  • Both Aaryn and McCrae admitted to trying to throw the comp to Amanda.
  • Yet Amanda couldn't win. In her own words, she sucks and isn't good at anything.
  • So, she cried.
  • She even ran to the storage room and hid behind the garbage can crying.
  • She cried even more when McCrae said something about it.
  • Elissa thinks she can't win anything.
  • So, Elissa cried.
  • Helen went around trying to cheer everyone up.
  • If she said, "Turn that frown upside down," one more time, I might have screamed.
  • Aaryn, once again, isn't particularly happy that she won. She likes being safe, but hates to be the one making nominations.
  • The 3am Alliance is going strong -- Amanda, Andy, Aaryn and McCrae.
  • Their plan is for Aaryn to put Elissa on the block because of her offending hurtful comment ("can't sit next to these girls" bit) and then, put Helen up with her "as a pawn."
  • They (Aaryn, being stuck with the deed) would tell Helen she was on the block because Elissa was the target and that way she (Helen) wouldn't be in the position of voting her friend out.
  • Yeah, right.
  • Helen will fall for that.
  • I really wish I didn't know Aaryn's beginning of the game with her racial slurs and all. She IS proving to be strong in comps. And, although she's being used by Amanda, at times she's almost likable.
  • But, the past and the fact that she has throughout the game let others make her decisions and even affect her behaviors, do her in.
  • But I just can't be in her camp because of that.
  • Amanda is SO jealous of Aaryn. She freaked because Aaryn once again sees photos of her family and all.
  • @@
  • Aaryn did point out to Amanda that whoever stays (of Helen and Elissa) will come after her (Aaryn), not Amanda.
  • Hey, that's what Amanda and McCrae want!
  • Unfortunately, if Elissa stays, she's not capable of doing much in comps. She's not a Rachel gone wild with fury. She's just a bit ... um ... odd.
  • 3am talked of Aaryn making a deal with Spencer just for show -- tell him he's safe this week if he keeps Aaryn safe the next.
  • But Spencer's all but off the radar this week with them.
  • They want the blood of HELEN!
  • Oh my.
  • Aaryn was upset to know people could tweet them (from Julie on the show) and how could "they" know what it's like in the house?
  • Heck, we who follow the feeds technically know more about what's going on in the house than most the hamsters as we see all sides of the conversations while they're just privy to their own and rumors.
  • No, we don't know what it's like to be IN the house.
  • Most of wouldn't want to be there ... especially with this crew!
  • When Amanda told Helen that Aaryn's target is Elissa, it must have clicked with her.
  • Helen, probably fearing her fate is sealed and that she's a target, turned on the tears once again.
  • She's spent so much effort protecting Elissa and she can't do it anymore.
  • She's spent so much effort protecting Andy and she can't do it anymore.
  • Cry, cry.
  • Real tears.
  • All to shift the focus off of herself.
  • I don't think the tears are working this time.
  • Elissa told Helen she just didn't want to sit with Aaryn and GM because she just doesn't like them.
  • She claims that only Amanda and Helen knew she said that.
  • So, who told the two wayward blondes?
  • Probably Amanda, I would think.
  • Helen cried some more, realizing that Aaryn will be siding with McCranda and Elissa isn't any kind of good partner at all.
  • Meanwhile, Elissa would just as soon go home.
  • But that's not going to happen unless they can't get Helen out due to a veto win.
  • The writing is on the wall, Ms. Helen.
  • If Helen does indeed survive this, she will be -- in her own words -- amazing.
