Big Brother 7: All Stars' - Live Feeds Bulletin - Veto Ceremony 8/21

As expected, Janelle used the Veot to save herself. Mike nominated Chicken George to join James in the nominee chairs.

A full report of the day's events will be posted soon. Please stop back!

'Big Brother 7: All Stars' - Live Feeds Report - Overnight Into Monday 8/21

The house has changed so much since last Friday that it almost doesn't seem like the same folks living there. Between Howie's departure, Janelle's crisis followed by victory and James giving all the way in to his anger... it's not a happy place. Not at all.

Here are the events from the overnight hours in that Big Brother House of Taunting and Tantrums:
  • Janelle taught Will how to play chess, but cheated while she did it. He may be leading her on about not knowing the game as he knew she cheated.
  • Woogie offered George a deal to go in with them - they'd put him on the block with James, but James would be the target and no one would know they're working together.
  • Will wants to sell the house on the idea that George is going home while it will actually be James.
  • Mike wants to work with George mainly because he's about his only choice to go up with James.
  • George ended up agreeing to a one week limited deal. He goes on the block with James. James goes home. If George wins HOH next week, he won't put Woogie (Will and Mike) on the block.
  • Janelle told Woogie she didn't think she could vote out James because she promised him long ago that she wouldn't. She wants them to put Danielle on the block with him because she put Marcellas on the block for them.
  • Woogie told Janelle that it's certain that James is leaving.
  • Janelle wanted some kind of promise for her own safety if she votes out James.
  • Woogie talked about splitting money with Janelle (like they have with practically everyone in the house) and she doesn't know if they can be trusted. After all, according to her, she trusted them for four weeks and so much went wrong.
  • She told them she still feels bad about what they did to Howie.
  • Janelle finally agreed to vote James out after Will sweet-talked her some more. [Editor's note: He hinted that they're more than friends!]
  • Will told her he was playing the game coldly without emotion until she came along. [Editor's note: @@ Eyeroll alert! Don't trust his puppy eyes!]
  • Danielle told Erika that no matter what she promised George, she will vote for him to go because she doesn't know his plans and doesn't want him messing up her game. [Editor's note: It's also a good reason to vote for her boy James to stay.]
  • Danielle said that George is the most dangerous player in the game. [Editor's note: @@]
  • Will told Janelle he wants to be friends with her after September 24th (they haven't been told of the finale change to 9/12) and she feels the same.
  • George decided that if he was going to go on the block anyway, he might eat real food for four days and take the penalty nomination. [Editor's note: Hmmm... would that work? Or would someone else have to be nominated by Mike?]
  • Will once again offered to split winnings with Janelle. She didn't commit to anything.
  • Janelle told George that Danielle and James have been a team for a long time. [Editor's note: Duh! She should have noticed that a few weeks back!]
  • Shades of olden days, when Will and Janelle ran back and forth across the lawn to exercise, Big Brother informed them how many yard laps make a mile.
  • George told James that the game has changed since his season and it's ruthless now. He asked James why he's doing it again. James told him he thought it was fun last season.
  • Will complained that Big Brother wouldn't give him a sharp kitchen knife and he had to chop onions with a butter knife. "I promise I won't hurt anyone, Big Brother!"
  • James told George and Danielle he had planned to get really mean today and explode. He's still talking about wanting to read over his contract to find out his rights. Once he mentions contract - BOOM - blocked feeds! Earlier he had been talking lawyer once again.
  • Danielle told James he has to mend fences with Janelle before he leaves. She asked him if Janelle knew all the bad things Marcellas had said about her. Perhaps he could use that information to mend said fences.
  • Then James started talking as if he's staying and he discussed who he would nominate if he got HOH. Both he and Danielle (once again) say they'd backdoor Janelle.
  • While alone, Danielle addressed the Internet and Sarah, in particular. She said she loves James (not in a romantic way) and still wants to go to the final two with him.

That's pretty much where things stand. Despite a brouhaha in the comments of my previous entry, Janelle did not agree to a "contract" to split the money with Will and Mike. Woogie has been approaching people all season (not just Janelle) with that proposition. I don't know why Big Brother hasn't clamped down on the talk, but Janelle made no monetary deals with them whatsoever that I saw, despite the boys offering.

'Big Brother 7: All Stars' - Live Feeds Report And Show Talk - Sunday 8/20

<--- Graphics artist Zoetawny picked up on Will's comment (on feeds and in a report here) about James - "James is like an angry four-year-old pumped up on PEZ." Heh. Gotta love it!

Before I go into what's been happening on the feeds, I want to touch on a few things from tonight's show as the feeds were blocked for the competitions and such.

The POV comp that James won reminded me of one of the ones from another season - using items from past comps to retrieve a key. Instead of shackles, the were in cages for the one I'm thinking about. While he complained about how Howie and Janelle reacted to wins, James did the same exact thing. Oh, I would, too. You can't win something without gloating just a bit, can you?

In a way, I can't blame George for his decision, although I think it would have been nice if he had informed Howie so that he wasn't blindsided. We didn't see that meeting awaiting the POV in the Red Room, but heard a few mentions of it later on the feeds.

Howie did go out very badly. Sigh. I'm not one for any sort of physical violence, but I couldn't help but notice how tough-guy-talk Mike is when he's surrounded by folks while being filmed. He knew Howie wouldn't hit him and he egged it all on. Too much testosterone goin' on, boys! At least Danielle just jumps up and down and punches air. Sheesh. James and Janelle were the only votes for Howie to stay. Janelle's vote was the only sincere one - James had said on the feeds that he was going to vote thinking of the jury.

The talk on the feeds was right about the HOH being humiliating to the houseguests. As a matter of fact, I didn't care so much for either of the comps themselves tonight. It looks like they were slapped up without much creativity or thought process behind them. I hope that's not an indicator of the remaining comps this season. Oh... and Mike acted way too weird after winning, but did you notice Erika jumping up and straddling him? Or Danielle running to hug him? So much for those folks claiming that S6 showing off their alliances, eh? @@ Yeah, that eyeroll's for them!

One more note: I don't like Mike. I didn't like him in his season; I don't like him now. But James annoys me, too. Both are overbearing so-and-so's!

Oh, well. Onto the afternoon's happenings in that Big Brother House of Misplaced Distrust:
  • James slept. James hid under blankets. James sulked. James ranted about producers and Janelle. Nothing to see here. Move along, move along.
  • Will begged BB to give them something to do. [Editor's note: That's lacking this season. They have cards and checkers, both of which are boring to watch on the feeds. But, dang... give them a crafts project or something.]
  • James refused to wear his microphone because he's "not a part of the show." [Editor's note: @@ ]
  • Will started kicking a ball around the house for something to do and managed to kick himself in the leg. Drama!
  • Danielle once again told James he has to move on when he started complaining to her about the POV again.
  • James said he wants to see a copy of his contract to see if/how much money he'd lose if he just turns in his DOR and leaves the house. [Editor's note: A DOR is a voluntary exit from the game. Technically, as Mike told James during one of his fussings, you can turn the handle on the panic door and leave at any time. They can't go out the front door, but there is an emergency exit.]
  • James thinks he'll be destroyed in the editing and Janelle will be the Princess.
  • Erika slept most of the day.
  • James doesn't think Erika's website has as many hits as his website does. [Editor's note: @@ Erika was last on the show two seasons ago!]
  • Woogie, for reasons only known by themselves, lied to Erika and Danielle claiming that Marcellas got the money and plasma TV in that graveyard comp.
  • James has talked to Janelle yet. He's yelled to her and about her, but no talk.
  • They have the chess game, so Will decided to learn how to play.

In other words, lotsa words for nothing really new happening in the house.

'Big Brother 7: All Stars' - Live Feeds Update - Sunday 8/20

<--- Janelle listening to Chicken George. When George laughs quietly, he's reminding me of some dog cartoon character. Not Scooby Do, perhaps Precious Pup? Is there even a Precious Pup? Or have I lost my mind?

Here's the events from the daytime hours in that Big Brother House of Woe-Is-Me Whiners and Wacky Winners:

  • First, let me say that today is a bit of a replay from the overnight hours for the most part. Although I may be showing my age, I'm reminded of the old Herman's Hermits song with the line, "Second verse, same as the first!"
  • The producers have apparently told the houseguests that they will NOT be re-doing the POV competition and the results stand.
  • James is bitter about it all and the game itself. He's a broken record going on about Janelle cheating and how the producers like her better than they like him. [Editor's note: Another age clue - I'm reminded of Tom and Dickie Smothers with their "Mom always liked you best!" routine.]
  • Danielle asked James who he thinks Janelle will go after. He told her Chill Town and Erika. Then he added that she (Janelle) has lost four votes in this fiasco. [Editor's note: But she's still in the house. She would have NO votes if she gets evicted... duh, James!]
  • When Danielle asked him who Mike Boogie is putting in Janelle's place, he thinks it will be George and hopes it's not Erika.
  • James is pretty sure that Janelle's vote will be to evict him no matter who goes on the block with him. "She's been gunning for me since the first week."
  • BB had to remind the houseguests dozens of times not to talk about their Diary Room sesssions. Between that talk and the fussing about the producers, we're getting blocked a lot.
  • Shades of Will, Danielle's been doing her own shmoozing of the other houseguests. She's good at it, but I think Will has the edge. It comes across looking like damage control since she's likely to lose her ally James.
  • Danielle and James both want George to go up on the block with James. Both (yes, James, too) think that it's probably a given that James will be voted out. Except for fussing about producers, James is doing no campaigning to stay at this time and his behavior seems to have many houseguests either walking on eggshells around him or avoiding him altogether.
  • Mike Boogie and Will aren't committing to putting any specific person up on the block at this time.
  • Janelle said James is a whiner and Will agreed and added, "It's pathetic."
  • Even Danielle has told James and others that they have to move on - "It is what it is."
  • Danielle told George that she thinks "America's favorite is Janelle." (George asked her the question, she didn't just bring it up this time.) She also told him that she thought he's probably very popular, too. She doesn't think she herself is popular.

And that's about it. James has been hiding under covers sulking as of late and things are basically small-talk chitchat.

'Big Brother 7: All Stars' - Live Feeds Report - Overnight Into Sunday 8/20

For what many considered a slow start this season, it sure has been a rollicking past few days, huh? I'm talking more specifically for the folks who watch the live feeds or those who follow them here and on other sites. It's hard to believe so much has happened in just three days - and we're talking only two full days! It's enough to make your head spin! Before I get into the full report of the overnight events, I just want to set a timeline of sorts because, if you blinked, you may have missed an important event.

Thursday night in the live show: George won HOH, had to immediately make nominations, chose James and Erika.

Thursday after the live show: James won POV and George put Howie on the block in his place.

Friday: Howie was evicted from the house and a new HOH Competition was won by Mike Boogie.

Saturday: Mike Boogie nominated Janelle and James. Janelle won POV.

Phew! Even if I don't like the turn of events or the houseguests winning or losing, I have to say it... it's interesting and I can't wait to see what happens next!

Here are the events of the late night and overnight period after Janelle won the POV in that Big Brother House of Wayward Boys and Girls:
  • Danielle and Erika were in awe of Janelle's ability in competitions. Erika says she's not good with strategy, but her strength is in comps.
  • James was screaming, yelling, fussing, moaning. He said that Janelle cheated in the POV competition. According to him, they were told "no physical contact" and he claims Janelle stole the Marcellas doll out of his hand and yelled "Give me that!" [Editor's note: I don't know if snatching the doll would constitute physical contact or not. It's contact with the doll, but not necessarily with James. It sounds like he should have had a better grip on it to me. Or, it's also possible that in the heat of the competition, things might not be as he thinks. Could they both have been reaching for the doll at the same time? He says he was reaching under her. Could she have seen him going for it and took it first? I don't know. The producers told him there is nothing on video that shows any rules broken.]
  • Danielle and Erika talked about approaching Janelle to team up against Chill Town.
  • Mike Boogie and Will seem to be absolutely fine with the Janelle win. They plan to vote out James.
  • Janelle said to Mike: "Did you see me take that doll right out of his hands?" So, she must have. But would it constitute any sort of violation? [Editor's note: Again, my feeling is that it wouldn't be considered physical contact with James. He should have hung onto the doll if it was that important. If you're playing basketball, stealing the ball is part of the game. You have to be on guard and control the ball (doll). Physical contact is also disallowed in basketball, much like this BB comp.]
  • George thinks he did the right thing by making sure Janelle stayed in the house.
  • Danielle and Erika think George will go on the block and the vote will be to send James packing. They both think that George has teamed up with Janelle. (They're right.)
  • Danielle thinks if the vote could be 2-2, Mike would have to do the dirty work and be the one to alienate jury votes. She thinks he'd vote out James.
  • Will told Janelle he's just trying to make "Good TV." But he's very happy with her win.
  • Will told Janelle that George will go up and they'll tell the "others" that he's leaving, but it's James who will go home - implying that Mike would break a tie and vote out James.
  • James is still fusssing and throwing himself around on the bed, bending everyone's ear with how he's been wronged. Danielle, George and Erika took turns listening to him and letting him vent. He's repeating the same stuff again and again - complaining that Janelle wins everything, fussing about the Prom Queen vote, saying the game is rigged and Janelle is more important to them than he is, on and on. And on.
  • At times James' voice breaks and it's evident that he's doing all he can to keep from crying. [Editor's note: As much as I think that whatever Janelle did in the POV will be considered within rules, I'd probably pout like James myself if it were me. I think he knows that the POV was something he had to win to stay in, so it was important he do so... and he didn't. Is his fate sealed?]
  • Up in the HOH bathroom, Will and Mike were talking about voting James out this week... until James came to the door. Then they were agreeing with him what a "[bleepin'] ho" Janelle was and how James got screwed. When James went away, they both talked again about how he must go.
  • George told Janelle that people (James?) were mad at him because he didn't backdoor her, but he's glad she's still in the house.
  • Erika and Danielle push for a meeting with the producers to clear up the POV comp issues. Meanwhile, BB called the houseguests into the Diary Room one by one to discuss it. James wasn't in there even two minutes. [Editor's note: I can't help but think that his behavior over this might make him his own worst enemy in getting his point (if he has one) across.]
  • Danielle is frazzled. She told George she's spent and just wishes she could go home. [Editor's note: Danielle's a toughie. She'll get her second wind, I'm sure. It's been a rough few days for all the houseguests... except maybe Woogie.]
  • Janelle is a bit afraid to be near James - she knows he's viciously angry at her. Meanwhile, James claims he doesn't want to sleep in the same room with Janelle - probably a wise decision.
  • Will regarding James: "When he doesn't get his way, he's like an angry four-year-old boy pumped up on PEZ."
  • Will and Janelle talked about being friends after the show. He said he talked to Kaysar pre-season, but Janelle said it must have been a "loose agreement" to work with him. Will admitted it was.
  • Will also said the Erika made a lot of pre-season agreements with people and has a hard time covering "everyone's back."
  • Will and Janelle talked about how obvious the James/Danielle alliance is as well as James' bad acting abilities. [Editor's note: But... but... James said in the DR what a great acting job he was doing!]

That's where we stand as I post this report. It seems unlikely that the POV will be re-done. It doesn't seem that James has any case in his gripe or something would have been done about it by now. Janelle won the POV and James will just have to carry on and get working on securing votes to stay if he can.

Graphic by Zoetawny. Oh... and folks... once again - please be a bit gentle with each other in the comments. I love to read the opinions of others, but the topic should be the houseguests, nor the commenters! Also, this blog (right now) is about Big Brother, not about what we should be doing instead of watching the show, nor about various charities we could be supporting. I prefer all comments to remain, but I've had to remove trolling attempts and some squabbles. As for the trolling... if you don't like what's going on here on the blog, why are you spending so much time and attention here? Folks are here to discuss the show.

'Big Brother 7: All Stars' - Live Feed Bulletin - POV Winner

Janelle won POV. James is very upset, Danielle is irked but complimenting Janelle's abilities to Erika. She told Erika not to be swayed - if it's a tie, let Mike be the bad guy.

Will seems pleased.

'BB7' - Veto Players Picked And Commenting On Comments

The POV Competition still hasn't taken place although the players have been randomly picked. Participating will be: Mike Boogie, James, Janelle, Danielle, Will, and Erika. Janelle picked Danielle's ball. Heh.

As promised, here are some answers to questions or comments on comments:

One person wanted to know how to cancel the live feeds. If you go to real.com and sign in, there is a contact phone number in their help listings. You have to call to cancel as the last I looked, there was no way to cancel online.

Lots of folks wondered about whether Mike's Coup d'Etat was revoked. That seems to be the case. But he can't use it as HOH anyway and this was the last chance for it. So they rented a sheep and a reaper for nothing.

Some still have questions about Janelle's winnings for Prom Queen. Other than the crown and bouquet, the winner would have received "a step up" (more like a step forward) in the HOH Comp last Thursday. It wasn't that huge of a lead, I don't think, but she couldn't participate. And it is what it is (as Danielle would say).

Someone wondered about West Coast time for tomorrow's show with baseball (football?). I'm in the NYC area, so I don't know. But I've found both AOL's and Yahoo's or even Zap2it's TV listings very reliable. Just input your local area info and they're updated better than a lot of print schedules.

That reminds me... remember... this Tuesday, the show will air at 9 PM ET/PT instead of 8 PM in most areas due to a concert special.

No, Janelle is not pregnant. She joked with Danielle about being pregnant a week or two back (I mentioned it in an entry) and the rumor is just resurfacing.

Sue wondered about all the HG mentions of splitting prizes. I'm stumped, too. As far as I know, they've all signed contracts saying they won't make deals to split winnings. This is the first season I've heard them talk of it without really getting reprimanded (that I know of). I would doubt that clause in the contract has changed, so... as I said, I'm stumped on that one.

I want to thank all the folks who have been supporting the blog through contributions in the discussions (the comments are tremendous!) and through the Donation button. Someone wondered if there was any way other than PayPal. That's my only method for receiving payments - it takes credit cards in addtion to straight PayPal. It's very safe. And, before someone jumps on me for "charging" for blog - I'm not charging anyone. I spend a lot of time and effort on the blog and some readers asked me to develop some sort of way that they can contribute. No one HAS to contribute, but I have to say that when I see a donation I become a bit Chicken George -- "This is cool! This is so cool!" Maybe Sally Field... "They like me, they really like me!" Either way, it's great to know people are enjoying the blog.

Cool! So cool!

Once the POV ever gets done and over with, an update will be posted. It's just a lot of small talk for the most part right now as they wait.

'Big Brother 7: All Stars' - Live Feeds Digest - Daytime Saturday 8/19

Another hoppin' day in the house!

Here are the daytime events from that Big Brother House of the Disloyal, the Discontented and the Disconsolate:

  • First thing in the morning, Mike Boogie told Danielle about the Coup d'Etat as it can't be used at this point. Although blocked by flames, the conversation bits sounded like the show revoked it because he talked about it (to Will?) so, dependent on timing of the alleged revocation, it may have given him the push to really go for the HOH. It was only good for three nominations and since he won HOH for the third nomination, it's moot now.
  • He also told her he doesn't trust James and plans to nominate James and Janelle. [Editor's note: Hmmm... Danielle may be the wrong person to tell that you don't trust James.]
  • Danielle told Mike that she wants Chicken George out. It really bothers her that she can't figure out his strategy (or lack thereof).
  • They decided if someone wins the POV, up goes George.
  • Mike Boogie told Erika that Chicken George is the wild card in the house. No one really knows how he'll vote. [Editor's note: I would think if the noms are Janelle and James, he would vote out James. What do you think.]
  • Erika told Mike that James is "totally convinced we're boyfriend and girlfriend." [Editor's note: It is enhanced for a showmance! They were friends before the show, but the more I see of this "relationship" and what Mike says to Will about her, the more a showmance for effect it seems.]
  • Erika proposed adding Danielle to their alliance to Mike. [Editor's note: Tsk, tsk, tsk. Obviously Erika is kept out of some loops, eh?]
  • Will thinks that if he can win POV, he won't use it and either James or Janelle must go home. He prefers that James would be gone.
  • Janelle made a game comeback. Now she and George are teaming up together. He wants to play for the POV and remove her from the block and both think that will shake things up. [Editor's note: But, can George win POV and what are the chances of him being selected to play for it with the random selection this season? Oh, well... they're both psyched.]
  • George and Janelle agree to be loyal to each other and hug to seal the deal.
  • James asked Mike Boogie if he wanted him to let Janelle know she's going on the block. Mike told him that he'd tell her himself.
  • Woogie and Janelle talked. Janelle told them that George is honest, while James wanted her on the block and voted out.
  • Mike Boogie reminded her that James only voted for Howie to stay for the jury vote. [Editor's note: Something I saw James tell Woogie.]
  • Janelle is okay (enough) with going on the block. She told Woogie if she gets the POV or it's used to save her, she wants Danielle on the block with James and James to be evicted.
  • Woogie told Janelle that they want her to stay. [Editor's note: We'll see who they vote for...!]
  • Danielle thinks that Janelle wants Erika gone. [Editor's note: Well, she does. But right now she wants James gone more.]
  • Janelle says she will stay and fight.
  • The houseguests were told that the POV comp would be held tonight. (Nominations haven't been made at this time yet, but the talk would prove right on them.)
  • The nominations went down - with the feeds blocked. Indeed, the noms are Janelle and James. No surprises this time.
  • Big Brother told George that if he didn't take a sticker off that he was wearing, he'd receive a penalty nomination. I couldn't read the sticker, but they have to approve all the clothing and things like brand names, etc., are frowned upon.
  • Danielle told James that if she wins POV, she'll take him off the block.
  • Woogie talk: Will said they should tell George they're voting off James and if there's a tie, they'll vote out James. Then they'll lie to Danielle and tell her they caught James telling people about the LOD and that he was going to turn on them.
  • It sounds like both Will and Mike really want the vote to go for James to leave.
  • James thinks the feeds are shut off all weekend like they were last year for the double eviction weekend.
  • At this time, the POV comp hasn't started. It will be blocked from the feeds, but I'll get out the information in a bulletin post when I find out the results. I'll be addressing some comment questions in a separate post a bit later on and will post another house update late tonight.

'Big Brother 7: All Stars' - Live Feeds Bulletin - Nominations 8/19

Mike nominated James and Janelle for eviction, much like Will wanted the noms to go. This could get interesting as Will kind of wants James gone and Mike Boogie doesn't.

A full report of the day's events will be posted later this evening.

'Big Brother 7: All Stars' - Live Feeds Report - Overnight Into Saturday 8/19

A house without a Howie just isn't a home. Or something to that effect. The Jedi has left the building and the whole house is more somber. It's really affecting Janelle, but the whole atmosphere seems a bit off.

From what the houseguests have said (it wasn't shown on the feeds), Howie left very badly - upset and shouting. Anyone who is into the show knows that Howie tends to act on the adolescent level at times. Yes, I like him, but he can be a lot more like a 12-year-old boy than a 30-something man. He often reacts with his gut instead of his head. I'm going to stand up and say that I do think it's better right now that it's Janelle left in the house, not Howie. I feel that if Janelle had been evicted, we'd be seeing Howie's "Hurricane Howie" rage. Since the cards were stacked against them for this week, it's best he's out of the situation.

Don't get me wrong. I'm saddened that he's out of the house - I often got a kick out of watching him and think he has a good heart (despite his antics). But, Will has it right. It is a game. Someone has to go every week. I never seriously thought Howie could win the game, so it's good he lasted this long. I wonder how well he's getting along with Marcellas in sequester?

Onto the report... what's happened overnight in that Big Brother House of Tears, Fears and Shattered Dreams?
  • Mike Boogie thinks that Janelle is acting like "a spoiled brat" over Howie's eviction. [Editor's note: I think that all of the events may be overwhelming her - Howie gone, the feeling of being alone in the house, the others cheering when she lost HOH... she may be a spoiled brat, but I think her behavior now is, if not justified, understandable.]
  • James is talking about Howie with an air of superiority - as he's so much of a better player and Howie shouldn't have been on All Stars. He credits himself with calming Howie down last season. [Editor's note: @@ - Can I have an eyeroll?]
  • Chicken George told Janelle that he didn't want to see her go out because she always stepped up her gameplay and deserved to be in the house.
  • From what Will said, they did their goodbye messages to Howie AFTER he was already gone unlike the live show where they film for both nominees. Erika told him that she enjoyed being a Jedi with him and will miss him talking about her "boobies."
  • When George asked Janelle about Howie outside of the house, she said she does hang out with him some, but with rules for him. "No light sabers." "No inappropriate comments about women."
  • Big Brother gave the houseguests bottles of wine.
  • Will said the house seems so empty because Howie was loud and large enough for three people.
  • While the HG drank wine and talked in the backyard, Janelle looked like she was quietly weeping on and off. She's really not in good shape.
  • Danielle and James sat around critiquing the S6 strategy, both last season and more specifically this season.
  • James once again reiterated how betrayed he was by S6 both seasons.
  • Danielle wished Howie hadn't gone out "like that" and said she really enjoyed him - he always cracked her up.
  • Janelle got drunk and James told her that she should be handling the situation better.
  • Janelle kept muttering how much she hates Erika and mentioned thoughts of suicide. [Editor's note: I think that alcohol and the events are fueling that talk. I feel BB should not have given her alcohol in light of how upset she is over Howie's eviction and what she perceives as her plight (alone and she thinks everyone hates her in the house).]
  • Janelle thinks she has a fever. James told her she should talk to Dr. Zachary (I'm not sure whether that's the show shrink or the medical doctor). She told him she already saw her.
  • Janelle talked about going for a DOR - a voluntary exit from the show.
  • To give James credit, he tried to peptalk Janelle, telling her what a good player she is and such.
  • Even Danielle and Erika tried to console Janelle who was openly sobbing once again.
  • Will really tried to help her. He told her that if he gets an America's Choice prize, he wants her to have it. He told her all about how worthy she is. When she said, "Stop trying to make me laugh when I'm suicidal." -- he told her not to even joke about suicide. All of a sudden, he turned into the actual Dr. Will - not an evil Dr. Will. He got her talking about anything and everything that would get her mind off of her funk. I think he does seriously care about her. No, not like a girlfriend care, but he seems genuinely concerned for her welfare. I think his approach goes above the gameplay with his reaction to her depression right now.
  • Off in the other room, Mike Boogie and Erika were laughing about Howie's departure. Mike said he should have gotten into a fistfight with Howie on the way out. [Editor's note: Big talk.]
  • When Janelle went out for a cigarette, Will told James and Danielle about what she was going through and he seems to think her depression is due to a mix of things including Howie's eviction and the fact she feels so alone.
  • Will, James and Danielle discussed nominations. Will said he doesn't know what Mike plans. He'd like Erika and Janelle, if POV is won, George on the block.
  • James told Danielle that Janelle is so upset because she "singlehandedly destroyed S6." [Editor's note: @@ A lot destroyed S6 this year - Janelle's actions going with her heart more than her head, Kaysar's indecision, James' betrayal and um... Howie being too Howie-ish at times. It wasn't all Janelle, in my opinion. Will said they didn't have time to regroup coming into All Stars too close to the end of their own season and I think that played into it, too.]
  • Will spent more time with Janelle trying to lighten the mood and get her mind off her situation.
  • Janelle said, "I just want to go to sequester now and get my $30,000."
  • Janelle kept giving Will reasons she should leave. He kept telling her reasons she should stay.
  • James told Danielle he plans on winning HOH. Of course.
  • When Janelle and Will said they would vote for George in the finals, Danielle said she wouldn't because he never would tell her his strategy.
  • Janelle admitted that Howie was one of the "dumbest players" in the game. He didn't strategize and reacted more than thinking ahead.
  • Danielle wants George gone NOW.
  • Danielle wanted to go smoke where it wouldn't be on the feeds. Aha, a closet smoker!
  • Janelle told Will she didn't plan to get rid of James when he mentioned James had to go. [Editor's note: Earth to Janelle! James is NOT on your side! Wake up already!]
  • Finally all headed to their restless dreams. No Howie wandering about getting ice cream at 4 in the morning, no Howie looking at the Memory Wall in the wee hours. Sigh. I didn't think he'd make it to the end, but it's still kind of sad.

'Big Brother 7: All Stars' - Live Feeds Report - Friday Evening After Eviction 8/18

<--- Will and Erika discussing how it was to leave the house after their seasons.

It's been 24 hours of stunning developments with temperatures running high both in the house and on the Internet. I don't think any of us could have predicted the latest turn of events.

Here's what's happened this evening in that Big Brother House Without a Jedi:
  • After the feeds returned, even James seemed a bit bereft - "I've never been in the house without Howie here."
  • Janelle was crying and saying she hates Danielle, Erika and Chicken George.
  • After James consoled her, Will came along. Janelle told him that she thinks everyone hates her because they all cheered when she lost the HOH game. Will said that was the wrong thing to do. He told her that people fear her as a strong player. He also said that he's embarrassed and would understand her hating him for backstabbing her by voting out Howie. [Editor's note: The more you watch Will, the more you see that he thinks ahead and always says what people want to hear. He also sounds so sincere that it's scary. It is kind of amazing.]
  • Ohhh! He told her not to let James fool her. Good. Then he told her he wants to get Mike Boogie (new HOH) to put up Danielle and James.
  • They discussed how bad Howie took both the nomination and the eviction. According to Will, he "imploded."
  • At the end of their talk, he apologized once again and said he was sorry she felt so bad. "I'm feeling better now, Will." [Editor's note: Do you think I can have Will negotiate a raise for me at my workplace?]
  • Meanwhile, James and Danielle blame Janelle for every eviction which has taken place this season.
  • Will told Janelle that James voted for Howie to stay just for the possible jury vote. [Editor's note: Aha! He did vote for him! I guess the vote was 2 - 4.]
  • Will thinks he has no chance of winning. [Editor's note: I think if anyone should win for people manipulation skills, he should. If he gets to the final two, he just may.]
  • James thinks he'll be backdoored within two weeks. [Editor's note: Cool!]
  • Apparently Howie really lit into Chicken George at the eviction... and just about everyone else. He just lost it.
  • Although she felt better for a bit, Janelle cried again claiming she'll never be happy again. She's to the point of being almost physically ill from working herself up so much.
  • While she was upset, James kept asking her if Will said anything to her. Looking for clues? Great timing there, James.
  • Mike's HOH room tour got the quietest crowd ever. He kept saying that he didn't know the people in the pictures and wondered if Jonah (production staff) was playing a trick on him. At the mention of Jonah, we got flames. They think the pictures are of Howie's family. Now, that's a quite the error, huh?
  • Will got Janelle out of her hiding spot and tried to get her to mingle with others and check out the HOH room.
  • Janelle said Will voted Howie out because he called out all the alliances in the house.
  • Both Will (especially) and Mike Boogie defended Janelle's behavior to Danielle and Erika. For once, the guys seem to be showing some compassion. [Editor's note: Are pigs flying over Hoboken?]

The mood in the house is pretty subdued. It seems that the majority of the house is saddened not only by Howie's eviction, but the way he went out.

I wonder how he's going to get along with Marcellas in sequester?

'Big Brother 7: All Stars' - Live Feeds Bulletin

They're back up. Unlike last year they're keeping them going (probably due to the outcry).

Howie was evicted and it appears Mike Boogie is the HOH.

Oy.

Forget sleep for me, I guess. An update will be posted late tonight as I gather information.

'Big Brother 7: All Stars' - Live Feeds Digest - Friday 8/18

Just when you thought you had them all figured out, you remember you must...

... expect the unexpected. Not necessarily from Big Brother, but from the darn houseguests!

Here are the day's events (and there are plenty of them) from that Big Brother House of Snakes And Other Critters With Bad Reputations:
  • Way before dawn, George took the Big Brother Rules Book to study. He's taking this all very seriously and everyone has been pulling him in every direction.
  • George told Janelle that the whole house, including James, said they wanted her out.
  • He told her he will not put her on the block and he wants to team up with them (Howie and Janelle). He didn't tell them his plans, but asked that they do one more favor for him - don't vote out Erika.
  • In one of the few funny moments since late last night, George locked himself out of the HOH room. [Editor's note: Only George, only George!]
  • George then went to Erika and told her that he's secured the votes for her to stay, but once again didn't tell her who he'd be putting on the block in James' place.
  • Erika pleaded, begged, cajoled, you name it to get George to put up Janelle or Howie. She was unbelievable! Yikes!
  • Howie comforted Janelle as she cried. He said George confirmed that James was against them.
  • One thing George didn't do (although he SAID the WHOLE house was against her) was to tell her that Woogie was pressuring him to put her on the block. [Editor's note: I think he didn't specify mainly because she was already so upset. Maybe not, I'm not sure.]
  • When Janelle asked Howie if he thought Chill Town sold her out, too... he told her no.
  • Howie thinks that the others may be lying to George for their own purposes.
  • Janelle told Howie she wants Erika out tonight and she had to lie to George. She feels terrible about lying to him.
  • Howie wants to go to Woogie and tell them they have to win HOH and nominate James. [Editor's note: Ah, Howie... I thought you were catching on. Maybe not, eh?]
  • George kept walking around muttering to himself that he was doing the right thing. [Editor's note: At this point he's the only one who knows what the thing he's doing is!]
  • Erika followed him like a puppy dog and he told her he wants to put Will on the block. [Editor's note: Really? Will Will shmooze his way with George?]
  • Erika told him that Howie and Janelle are in with Chill Town and won't vote Will out - she would go. [Editor's note: Tears! Whine! Fuss! Oh, no! Almost hysterical!]
  • George told her not to tell anyone his plans.
  • Erika told George that she thinks the "secret power" Mike has is the ability to change the nominees. [Editor's note: Well, she got that right.]
  • She kept at him for what seemed like a decade as he just wanted to relax in the HOH bathtub.
  • Danielle told Mike she thought George would put up Will. Mike said he'd work on it.
  • Erika ran to Mike Boogie and Danielle and told them that George is planning to put Will on the block. [Editor's note: So much for not telling anyone, huh?]
  • She told them not to tell George that she told them. [Editor's note: Well, that fixes it.]
  • Mike told James that George wants Will evicted.
  • Will said he's fine with being put up on the block.
  • Between flame/clouds with annoying music, Will and Mike Boogie worked their mojo on George - Will with the "it's all okay" act, both with "in your best interest in the game" and so on.
  • The next thing you know... WHAM... the POV Ceremony has been held and Will is claiming to have a secret weapon... named Janelle! Howie is on the block and when he goes, Will will have Janelle on his side.
  • The Woogie theory is: If Janelle leaves, Howie will be mad. But, if Howie leaves, Janelle will run to the cover of Chill Town.
  • Apparently Howie called out all the alliances in the ceremony (which we didn't see).
  • Howie told George that he promised him he wouldn't be on the block and now he's on the block. Howie told him that if it's a tie, he should do the right thing and save him due to the broken promise.
  • George told him he couldn't do it to Janelle and there was no one left. [Editor's note: Danielle, Will, Mike...]
  • James isn't thrilled. He wanted Janelle on the block.
  • Mike told James that he was surprised George nominated Howie. They had wanted him to nominate Janelle. James wants to vote for Howie to stay. Mike told him that either way, Janelle and Erika would be out soon - LOD!
  • Danielle is just befuddled. She'd like to see George's Diary Room segments because she never knows what he's thinking.
  • James told Howie he's probably going home as his only votes are Janelle and himself (James). He said that if Chill Town was honest (@@) with their alliances, Erika would only get one vote to stay (Danielle).
  • Will and Mike told Janelle they'd vote for Howie to stay. [Editor's note: I guess we'll see about that!]
  • Janelle is going through hoops studying and practicing - she said she wants to win HOH today. That sounds like the eviction is tonight and Sunday's show will be taped.
  • Erika and Danielle are happy with the turn of events. They're sure Erika will stay.
  • Will told Danielle that James plans to vote out Erika. Danielle said, "That'll be two votes against him right there in the jury." [Editor's note: Does she honestly think James will make the Final Two and she won't?]
  • Howie packed his bag. (Sniffle)
  • Danielle told Erika that James is voting for Howie to stay.
  • George talked to Janelle. She told him she didn't care what anyone else did, she'd be voting for Howie to stay.
  • For a bit the feeds showed somethiing being set up in the backyard... the HOH comp?
  • Will told James that he should vote to evict Howie to prove he's really in their alliance. He said he had to vote to keep Howie, if nothing else than for the jury votes. [@@]
  • Will then told Mike that they need to vote for Howie to stay if James won't change his vote.
  • Will now wants Erika out, Mike wants her to stay. Will says he will keep Janelle's trust if he votes to keep Howie.
  • Woogie went to Danielle for advice. As anyone could guess, she wants them to vote out Howie. Of course.

And there you go. The feeds are down and CBS claims they'll be out until Sunday. We don't know who was voted out. We don't know the new HOH. The same thing went on last year with the double eviction. If I hear anything, of course I'll post. But it looks like I'm going to get a good night's sleep for a change! ;-)

'Big Brother 7: All Stars' - Live Feeds Bulletin

A full recap of today's events is in the works, but I have to mention a few things...

James used the veto to save himself.
George put Howie (!) on the block.
Feeds have been intermittent and it looked like they were preparing for the HOH comp when the feeds went down... most likely not to return until Sunday. They did this last year with a double eviction, too. However, there was a "slip" and we saw who went missing.

Please stop back for the day's recap to be posted within the hour and I'll update any more information I get on the feeds blackout, too.

Oh... and PLEASE don't judge other commenters here by their favorite houseguests! Everyone is entitled to have their own favorites for their own reasons. It's best to keep the comments directed at the houseguests and their actions than, "You're a jerk because you like ____!" Not only will it make it better for the commenters, but much better for me as I read a few hundred or more emails daily. Yes, I get an email for every comment. Eek, huh? Thank you!

'Big Brother 7: All Stars' - Live Feeds Digest - Overnight Into Friday 8/18

A night of nights, it 'twas.

Here are the overnight events from that Big Brother House of Shifting Confusion:
  • Mike took his turn advising George what to do. He told him that, while he has to do what's best for himself, the whole house wants Janelle out. He also told George that Janelle would go after him.
  • He also said that he should not win the POV, let someone else win it, then act like he put up Janelle because he had to put up someone.
  • George said he picked James because he had a beef with him and he wants him out. He picked Erika because she won 6-0 against Marcellas and he was sure she wouldn't be voted out.
  • George said he had a beef with Danielle, too. She lied to him to try to set him up to be the only vote against Erika. Mike tried to put spin on that.
  • Mike kept telling George all the reasons Janelle should go.
  • Then Mike later told Janelle that he was trying to figure out if George is as dumb as he seems to be or not.
  • Danielle thinks George is smart - he wouldn't be on the All Stars show if he wasn't smart.
  • George loves his Aruba Scuba HOH gift shirt!
  • Janelle read the rules to the Veot comp after saying she had a bad feeling about it.
  • The veto comp was blocked, so we didn't see it. But, from the talk afterwards... James, the Veto King, is at it again. He won POV. (Sigh.)
  • There were gnomes in the POV comp.
  • Danielle asked George if he'd be putting her on the block.
  • James trashtalked Janelle and wanted to know who was behind George's nominations. George told him no one was behind them.
  • James, now with more attitude, was nasty and condescending as he celebrated his own POV victory.
  • George feels he can't trust Danielle.
  • Erika hinted to George that he should put up Howie or Janelle in James' place.
  • George says he can't go after Howie.
  • Most of the house is pressuring him to put up Janelle. Erika told him that if he puts up Danielle, she (Erika) will be voted out. He had intended her to only be the pawn.
  • Mike Boogie lied to Janelle and told her he told George she should put up Danielle.
  • At the time of this posting, it looks like George is going to replace James with Janelle. He's very upset.

'Big Brother 7: All Stars' - Live Feeds Report - Thursday Evening 8/17

Wow! While I'm glad that George won HOH (it's SO COOL, as he would say), my head is spinning. I can only hope that George stays grounded because this is going to be some ride!

Here's what's happened since the live show ended in that Big Brother House of Gorgeous George's Big Win:

  • Mike Boogie told James that there was no worse person to do the nominations live than George. [Editor's note: I think he did rather well with them!]
  • Erika thinks George will backdoor Danielle if someone uses the POV to save either James or herself.
  • Danielle, for some odd reason, is blaming George's win and nominations on Howie and Janelle. "They have to GO!"
  • Danielle asked George if he plans to backdoor her and his answer was, "Absolutely not." He also told her he didn't intend or expect to win - all of a sudden he was at the head of the line.
  • James is cursing George out (not to his face), saying he awakened a [bleepin'] demon and vowing revenge.
  • James told Erika that Howie and Janelle haven't said a word to him because they're feeling guilty. [Editor's note: Again, George's winning and nominations are somehow Howie and Janelle's fault? Help me, I'm not getting the reasoning here.]
  • Woogie did a perfect Snoopy Happy Dance in the storage room. I could almost hear the music. They're so happy... and safe for yet another week... er, three days. Mike said something about voting Erika out, but I didn't quite catch it.
  • Will told Erika if he won the Veto, he couldn't use it because Mike would be vulnerable.
  • Danielle told Erika that George has got to tell people what he's thinking - his intentions. [Editor's note: Why? Because she says so? He doesn't have to tell a soul anything.]
  • Danielle thinks America loves Janelle and hates them (Erika and Danielle). [Editor's note: Flashback to season 6 alert! Could it be the ghosts of Ivette and Maggie? April?]
  • Erika told Danielle that she thinks George wants James out. [Editor's note: I think so, too. Bit I wouldn't have told Danielle that about her best boy.]
  • Howie told James that he's safe - they have the votes. If he wins the veto, he shouldn't use it because he's not going to be voted out. [Editor's note: Does Howie think James is dumb enough to pull a Marcellas?]
  • James called America dumb for voting George the Most Likely to Win the Nobel Peace Award. After all, you need an education to win that! George isn't smart!
  • George talked alone with Howie and Janelle. He told them he just couldn't put them up. They told him about the original plan that Marcellas was safe and how Woogie flipped it, as well as how often Woogie said they wanted George gone.
  • Mike Boogie advised James to win the Veto and take himself off - and hope that George doesn't put up Danielle in his place. He implied "the secret power" if needed, but didn't say what it was. He just said his alliance (LOD) would have to trust the one with the power.
  • Mike Boogie told George (in the storage room) that he had to "fix it." George told him he didn't know what to do and they agreed to talk later.
  • Danielle is really ticked. "I will NOT be outplayed by Chicken George!"
  • She wants Erika to go tell George that the whole house wants Janelle and Howie gone. [Editor's note: Hmmm, who's doing whose dirty work now?]
  • Will told Danielle that he thinks George is smart and is playing the best game he can.
  • Danielle told Mike Boogie that they should have George and Howie in the Final Five because they can beat them. [Editor's note: What happened to wanting Howie out? My head hurts!]
  • Danielle told Mike that America hates Erika because she's beautiful and smart. [Editor's note: @@ An eyeroll makes my head hurt more.]
  • Danielle really wants George to backdoor Janelle, but doesn't think she can convince him to do it.
  • In George's HOH room, Danielle read his letter from home out loud and everyone started helping themselves to his food and beer. James snapped at them that it wasn't their room and George said, "It's fine. Help yourselves!" [Editor's note: This is the guy on slop with no alcohol for weeks on end.]
  • Will told Mike that he judges his allegiance in this order: Himself, Mike, Danielle, James and George.
  • Once Howie and George were alone in the HOH, he once again told George that everybody wanted Janelle to put up George. [Editor's note: Woogie and James must be everybody. Although I recall Erika mentioning his name a few times. Oh... and Danielle. Oops. Everybody.]
  • James thinks that Mike's "secret power" is the ability to change the nominations. I think he figured it out from what Mike said to him earlier. Mike, however, didn't tell him what the power was.
  • George told Janelle and Howie that they can sleep well tonight - whatever happens with the Veto, he will NOT put them up. [Editor's note: But Mike might!]
  • George mentioned that he first wrote on the wrong side of the chalkboard on the cloth (in the HOH comp) and thought it was the worst chalkboard he ever saw.
  • Yipes! They're picking POV players!
  • George picked Howie to play for POV. Erika picked Danielle. James got Will. These are drawn as in this season. There was only one HG choice and none got it.
  • They have chosen the players, but aren't doing the comp... yet.
  • George is sitting talking to Erika in his lime green HOH room. He has a lot of new shirts and has said COOL a million times.
  • He told Erika she has to do what she has to do to win the game. He is definitely leaning towards a James eviction if possible.

'Big Brother 7: All Stars' - A Look At The Live Show - 8/17

Well, well, well... the Chicken Man done did it. Who woulda thunk it?

I'm liking the live shows this season. As George would say, "This is SO cool!" I could do without the always-present recap of the last show. Why do they do this all the time with reality shows? And, why is so much time spent on it? Ah, well... to touch on a few things from the show I liked or didn't...

The campaigning was pretty much as I saw on the feeds. I told you George was getting bombarded from all sides, yet didn't really commit. "I like you" isn't a commitment, even though he voted to keep Erika in the long run.

The prom night vintage clothing was fun. Too bad I'll have nightmares of my own prom now. Eep. Howie's hair, as seen here on this blog first(!) didn't come out too bad and he doesn't look bad with a moustache, either. Erika really needs to gain weight - that dress made her collarbones look like lethal weapons. Janelle and Danielle looked very nice! I thought Will looked a bit goofy, as did George. But George is a bit goofy in his regular clothes, so...!

I liked the Janelle/Danielle moms segment and the comparisons. Danielle's mother looks WAY too young to be her mother! I enjoyed how they both thought the girls were a lot alike in their gameplay. And, now I'm not recalling which Mom said it, but one said they should have teamed up on Day One and they would have ruled the house. Spot on!

Howie said he loves April and even Pepperoni! And, even Julie Chen brought up the Spool of Lies and Mike's running when he saw the "ghost of Alison." Perfect!

I went into the actual rules for the Coup d'Etat here and broke down the HOH comp here. Oh! And I clarified the Prom King OR Queen and what Janelle didn't win because she was the exiting HOH here. When I posted my HOH comp entry I was typing as Julie was talking. Did I have that right with seconds or was in minutes without hot water? Either way, neither wanted to go over it, I say!

To me, other than the news of the double eviction and the fact that George (!) won HOH, the biggest news was Marcellas' last words which sealed his fate with anyone who was thinking of supporting him. Almost as good as Sue's "rats and snakes" speech in the first season of Survivor! He put everyone on a guilt trip - "Scumbags and liars! I played the game honestly! And, if you vote me out, you're just scumbags and backstabbing liars!"

Did that backfire or what? But, that attitude is why I haven't enjoyed watching him this season. So, he's out and he's the first member of the jury. Heck, I remember when he said in the beginning he just wanted to make it to sequester. Well, he got his wish.

'Big Brother 7: All Stars' - Clarifying A Few Things...

A report touching more on tonight's show as well as the live feeds since the show will be posted a bit later tonight.

I notice many people are asking what about the Prom King/Queen. There was only one winner - a King OR a Queen. Janelle won for the Queen.

The way Julie worded it was that the winner would "have a step up in the HOH competition." That leads me to believe that had she been eligible to compete, Janelle would have advanced a step or two in the HOH comp (without having to answer a question). But, since she couldn't compete as the recent HOH, she got a bouquet.

As for POV - In past double eviction weeks they have had them. I would think the POV comp perhaps tomorrow, POV Ceremony on Saturday.

'Big Brother 7: All Stars' - East Coast Update - HOH/Nominations - 8/17

Double eviction week. New HOH will nominate tonight on the spot. Another eviction Sunday night.

Janelle won Prom Queen. She cannot participate in the comp as she's HOH.

GEORGE'S NOMS - JAMES AND ERIKA!

'Big Brother 7: All Stars' - East Coast Update - Eviction/Voting 8/17

Mike did not use the Coup d'Etat

Votes are to evict --

Mike - Marcellas
Howie - James, er... Marcellas
James - Marcellas
Will - Marcellas
George - Marcellas
Danielle - Marcellas

Unanimous vote, Marcellas is gone - the first member of the jury.
