Survivor 43: 4th Episode Blog Party - October 12

Good evening, Survivor fans!

The Amazing Race is after this show later tonight at 10PM EDT and a separate blog entry will be up for that. So, I will have an hour's rest between blogging shows tonight. Cool!

I will be live blogging the major events as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest news. As always, the real party is in the comments section. I hope to see you there!

This is getting interesting -- at this point the Vesi tribe is down to four and cannot afford to lose another member. Coco is still standing at full strength while Baka is down one member. I would think something should be happening soon to shake up the tribes even though it's too early for a merge.

The Esteemed Lifeguard SueGee has updated the blog pool -- check it out to find your castaway!

Vesi Tribe (Red)
Cody       Cheryl in NC, ChicMc
Noelle     MikesGirl, Tammy
Jesse       AprilW, Donna in AL
Dwight    Petals, Skyriverblue,

Coco Tribe (Blue)
Lindsay     David, Marthalight,
Cassidy     Cherrypie, Kelsey NY,
Geo        Jasonuwp, Dr Celine
Karla       Glenn Allen, monty924
James     DonnaNY, Krysta Gibson
Ryan       John Cantrell, Jackie

Baka Tribe (Yellow)
Gabler     Donna in FL, Joanne Victoria
Owen    Mike Barer, SueGee
Sami      Brenda, Indiana Jane
Elie         Nickelpeed, Nora M
Jeanine     Laura, Auntie Leigh

Snuffed Out
Morriah
Justine
Nneka

Survivor fans ready?

It was a dark stormy night. Noelle is thanking the others for keeping her over Nneka. Cody, of course, is the most vocal about them being dead last.

Over on Baka, Gabler is putting palm fronds on people for protection? Hmm. He's getting on Elie's nerves. If he keeps telling others how to make a fire when they are already making fire. Gabler knows Elie went through his bag.

Right to a challenge already. It's for Reward. Knocking blocks off ledge with sandbags, one walks on the blocks, others throw sandbags on swing platforms.  Playing for ten fresh fish delivered to camp, can go to one other camp and steal an item. Ryan is doing poorly for Coco.

VESI ACTUALLY WINS!!!

Since they have no flint, the fish isn't a great reward. They are not allowed to steal the other camp's flint. So, they trade the reward for fruit.

Cody volunteers to go. Cody thinks they should go for fishing gear. Meanwhile, the other two tribes are worried that they will be raided. Baka thinks Coco should be raided because they have a full tribe and more winnings.

Cody heads off and does indeed hit Coco. He tells them he wants to steal their machete. They try to negotiate and offer him food. He ended up with some fishing gear and food, more than he originally sought. But they did keep their machete.

Immunity Challenge time. Race to knock off heavy sandbags looking for a keyring with one key on it, unlock a huge net, take puzzle pieces under the net -- four pieces. Untie the puzzle piece bags. Two players do puzzle.

Baka does the puzzle first and is on to moving the puzzle pieces up a cargo net. Now they have to build a triangle (the first was a square).

VESI wins Immunity! They yell out clues to Baka so Coco loses. Baka is safe. Coco must go to Tribal tonight.

Coco is steaming because Vesi shouted out and helped Baka win. The guys are talking about voting out Cassidy. Geo thinks he's in charge. Meanwhile, Cassidy is sick of Geo and the women are talking about getting him out. James is trying to convince a paranoid Lindsay that the vote will be for Geo to go.

To Tribal we go. Jeff asks Ryan to grade the tribe. He gives an 8.5/10. Ryan wants to provide for others. Lindsay says today was a wake-up call and said some of the others didn't seem to want to talk to her. Ryan says he didn't talk to her and she claims she wasn't a priority. Geo claims to be nervous.

Time to vote. The tally -- Cassidy, Geo, Lindsay, Lindsay, Lindsay.

I guess it's not paranoia when they indeed vote you out. Bye, Lindsay!

The Amazing Race 34: 'It's All in the Details' Episode Blog Party - October 5

Hopefully I will be a bit better at the names of the teams tonight. Oh, but probably not for a few more weeks! I promise I will get the names down by the time the series comes to an end. How's that?
Here is a cheat sheet with the photos of the teams.

I will be live blogging the major events as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest news! As always, the real party is in the comments area -- I hope to see you there!

The Wonderful Lifeguard SueGee has updated the blog pool. Who's your team?

Abby & Will -- Jasonuwp, Krysta Gibson, Marthalight
Aubrey & David -- Donna in FL, Dr Celine, Skyriverblue
Derek & Claire -- Beachbound Gmom, ChicMc, Donna NY
Emily & Molly -- Joanne Victoria, Judi Sweeney, Sharon N
Glenda & Lumumba -- Glenn Allen, Indiana Jane, Petals
Luis & Michelle -- Andi, Mikes Girl, RJMnSC
Linton & Sharik -- Cheryl in NC, Jackie, Willie J
Marcus & Michael -- Brenda, Chrob61, Nickelpeed
Quinton & Mattie -- Donna in Alabama, monty924, Sharon C
Rich & Dom -- David, Kelsey NY, Nora M, Sue

PHILIMINATED
Aastha & Nina - No one was assigned to this first gone team.
Tim & Rex

Race fans ready? Let's GO!

We get a Previously On segment and see T-Rex philiminated again.

All teams are boarding the charter plane and heading to Italy. Megaleg - two Detours, two Roadblocks ahead. The teams are leaving in three groups fifteen minutes apart based on the Pit Stop arrivals from the last leg. They're looking for a marked parking spot.

Detour - Head of the Class - identify 16 bones, etc. in a test. Or 88 cheese wheels in The Big Cheese, delivering a cheese wheel, half to one restaurant, the other half to another.

Luis does not know his stick shift. Michelle calls it "classic Amazing Race." Quinton and one of the twins keep stalling, as well. Rich, too!

They have a cart to deliver the cheese, so that might be the easier task of the two. The building where the "class" is is stunning architecture. Linton and Sharik are regretting their class choice. Lumumba just noticed their instructions say to drive to the detours. They have been on foot. Eep!

Marcus and Michael are in the lead, having finished the cheese detour first. Dom is rubbing me the wrong way with what she is telling Rich about manifesting trouble when he doesn't have to. Someone saying that to me would make me manifest issues!

The ones on the cheese task have it easy compared to those learning anatomy! Quinton and Mattie made it through the anatomy challenge -- she said she was confident of the task because she studied anatomy in college. Glenda and Lumumba might be totally lost.

One of the twins also studied anatomy in school. They get through, too!

Marcus and Michael hit the Roadblock. Ducati flagship -- assemble wheels and brakes, before adding the body.

Lumumba and Glenda make it to the anatomy lesson Detour. My blog pool team Linton and Sharik finally made it through it. Claire is doing the assembling the Ducati! Eight of the ten teams are at the Ducati -- missing are Dom/Rich and Glenda/Lumumba, both back at anatomy. Both just made it through at the same time.

Although it seemed to take forever, Michael and Marcus are out of the Roadblock first and heading for a clue to another Roadblock. Apparently, this mega-leg is going to run two episodes. The twins, Emily and Molly, are second. Yay! Claire finished her Ducat! (Other teams finished before them.) Rich/Dom made it through leaving only Lumumba working alone on a Ducati.

To be Continued ... (next week)

Survivor 43: Episode 3 Blog Party - October 5

Good evening, Survivor fans! I hope everyone fared okay through Ian. Here in the NYC Metro Area of NJ we have had rain and winds for five days from the remnants.

The Amazing Race is after this show later tonight at 10PM EDT and a separate blog entry will be up for that. In between the shows is the new Love Boat thing. Although I really like Jerry O'Connell, the show itself is nothing I want to watch. So, I will have an hour's rest between blogging shows tonight. Cool!

I will be live blogging the major events as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest news. As always, the real party is in the comments section. I hope to see you there!

The Esteemed Lifeguard SueGee has updated the blog pool -- check it out to find your castaway!

Vesi Tribe (Red)
Cody       Cheryl in NC, ChicMc
Nneka     Sharon N, Bizaro22
Noelle     MikesGirl, Tammy
Jesse       AprilW, Donna in AL
Dwight    Petals, Skyriverblue,

Coco Tribe (Blue)
Lindsay     David, Marthalight,
Cassidy     Cherrypie, Kelsey NY,
Geo        Jasonuwp, Dr Celine
Karla       Glenn Allen, monty924
James     DonnaNY, Krysta Gibson
Ryan       John Cantrell, Jackie

Baka Tribe (Yellow)
Gabler     Donna in FL, Joanne Victoria
Owen    Mike Barer, SueGee
Sami      Brenda, Indiana Jane
Elie         Nickelpeed, Nora M
Jeanine     Laura, Auntie Leigh

Snuffed Out
Morriah
Justine

Survivor fans ready?

We join in as Cody is collecting the beads so he can vote during Tribal Council, sealing the Justine ouster instead of the Nneka one favored by many. Now the others are a bit leery of him. Noelle is worried. She wants to really up her game now.

On Baka, Gabler slept on the beach. His fellow Baka-ites are concerned. Some think it's best he goes, both for the tribe and for his own health. They also worry about when his idol expires. Sami seems to be quite anti-Elie. He tells Gabler that she looked in his bag. Dwight and Gabler try to fool Elie and convince her he wants to keep his "expired" idol as a souvenir for his daughter.

On Coco, they are celebrating James's birthday. They are talking about suspicions regarding the hidden idol and those who might be searching for it. Karla found a Beware Advantage similar to the one found by Cody in his camp. She put it back. Oh my.

She talks to James, not telling him she found the advantage, but asking what he would do if he found one. She goes for the advantage. Yep, it's the same beads thing that Cody did. She will lose her vote at Tribal until she collects a bead from each person. She tells people she wants to make a bracelet for her wife. James is easy. She has to work at the rest. Now Ryan is the only one left. Now she has them all!

Immunity/Reward Challenge. They are out on the water on ramps. Leap off tall tower into ocean, climb stack of crates, dive to retrieve keys, turtle puzzle. Reward lots of fruit and large supply kit. Second place gets smaller version of the same. Geo sits out on Coco. He searches around the bench just in case something is hidden there. Smart move.

BAKA comes in 1st Place for Immunity! Coco wins 2nd Place!

Baka has to pick one person from each tribe to go on a journey. Noelle, Owen and James go off on a boat. They will be back before Vesi has to go to Tribal.

Nneka had been doing the puzzle with Jesse. She feels she once again let the tribe down. Sad, but she is right. Jesse and Cody say they can't keep losing. They recognize that Noelle is as strong with one leg as others with two. They know that Nneka is weak, but they have a strong bond with her. We get a sad story from Jesse about how she reminds him of his deceased mother, and it would be like voting her out.

The three off on the trip have a similar trip to Cody and the others in the first episode. We get Noelle's story of her sports background, the loss of her leg and how she is now Paralympic contender.

It is the Risk or Reward challenge. The two men treat her good. She needs to get the advantage and tells them she was on the bottom. Both agree to let her be the sole Risk taker in this one.

Noelle tells her teammates she has nothing and didn't want to risk the vote tonight. She decides she needs to tell Dwight. She can steal a vote from another player and cast an extra vote.

Tribal Council time. Jeff starts off asking about the challenge. Jesse said they weren't operating at their best and he was yelling at them. Nneka talks about caring for people on the tribe. Jody says they need to remember there's a game to play. Dwight says he needs to hang onto his alliance. Noelle says she is worried because she wasn't there today, wants to continue playing.

Time to vote.

The tally: Noelle, Nneka, Nneka, Nneka ... three is enough. Bye, Nneka.

I'm thinking it was Dwight and Noelle with her vote and the steal a vote from either Jesse or Cody. There will be suspicion about the hinky vote, I'm sure!

Whoa! I may be wrong, but it looks like it was all Nneka votes except her own! The two must have gone for keeping the stronger competitor on their tribe. I don't think Noelle used her advantage.

The Amazing Race 34: Patience, Is the New Me Episode Blog Party - Sept. 28

Hopefully I will be even better at the names of the teams tonight. Oh, but probably not for a few more weeks! I promise I will get the names down by the time the series comes to an end. How's that?

I will be live blogging the major events as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest news! Of course, the real party is in the comments area -- I hope to see you there!

The Wonderful Lifeguard SueGee has filled the blog pool with those who dared get their toes wet. Who's your team?

Abby & Will -- Jasonuwp, Krysta Gibson, Marthalight
Aubrey & David -- Donna in FL, Dr Celine, Skyriverblue
Derek & Claire -- Beachbound Gmom, ChicMc, Donna NY
Emily & Molly -- Joanne Victoria, Judi Sweeney, Sharon N
Glenda & Lumumba -- Glenn Allen, Indiana Jane, Petals
Luis & Michelle -- Andi, Mikes Girl, RJMnSC
Linton & Sharik -- Cheryl in NC, Jackie, Willie J
Marcus & Michael -- Brenda, Chrob61, Nickelpeed
Quinton & Mattie -- Donna in Alabama, monty924, Sharon C
Tim & Rex -- Bizaro22, Cherry Pie, Margo & her Mom
Rich & Dom -- David, Kelsey NY, Nora M, Sue

PHILIMINATED
Aastha & Nina - No one was assigned to this first gone team. I'm glad I won't have to misspell the one's name all season!

Now, I should have posted this before -- but here is a cheat sheet with the photos of the teams.

Race fans ready? Let's GO!

We get a recap and watch Derek and Claire win the 1st leg again.

They will leave according to arrival times. They will depart in three groups. They will drive to Innsbruck, Austria. The teams enlist locals and tourists for directions. Of course, if they have to fly anywhere, it has to bunch them up as they are still using the private plane.

They have to go to Brund Nalder Huff (sp?) for the next clue. The second group is leaving - T-Rex and Marcus/Michael.  The twins and Jamaican father/daughter are on their way. Now the last group is on the way.

Rex decides the new him is patient.

Munich, Germany. Uh-oh -- Quinton and Mattie are there. They need to be in Austria! They were on the right street in the wrong city. In the wrong country!

Derek and Claire make it to the first Roadblock. Who wants to call in the cows? Yodeling to call in the cows. They are accompanied by locals and an accordion. Claire does it. Three different yodels and hand motions. I could never do this! They have to wear the wardrobe for the rest of the leg.

Several teams at the back of the pack are having directions and/or traffic woes. This Roadblock is not easy at all. No one has made it through it yet. They are all having problems with the first yodel.

Marcus and Michael are the first through the yodeling. Glenda sailed through it and now she and Lumumba are in second place. Linton and Sharik are next to finish calling in the cows. Claire is so bad at this! The twins are through next.

Detour - Michael and Marcus arrive. Bells Ringin' - seven notes on bells to play tune. Partners Swingin' - learn wedding dance.

Abby and Will move on from yodeling. Poor Claire. T-Rex is through. Poor Claire. Rich and Dom through. Poor Claire. Luis and Michelle through. Aubrey and David through. Poor Claire. FINALLY! Claire gets through the yodeling!

The teams dancing and ringing bells have their own difficulties. Finally, the brothers get through ringing the bells. They are the first team heading off to the Pit Stop. Lumumba and Glenda get through the dancing and are off to the Pit Stop, too.

Claire and Derek get through the bells on the first try.

Pit Stop order:

1. Marcus and Michael - win Expedia reward points five nights for two to Lima, Peru.
2. Glenda and Lumumba
3. Linton and Sharik
4. Derek and Claire
5. Luis and Michelle
6. Abby and Will
7. Emily and Molly
8. Rich and Dom -- missing hat, need it for check in!
8. Aubrey and David
9. Rich and Dom
10. Quinton and Mattie
11. Tim and Rex -- Philiminated.

Survivor 43: Episode 2 Blog Party - Sept. 28

Good evening, Survivor fans! I hope everyone is doing well and my thoughts and concern go out to those enduring the hurricane in Florida. May you all be safe.

Tonight's episode is a first -- an extended second episode. Last week's season premiere was two hours; this week we have an hour and a half. Bizarre, I say! The Amazing Race follows this show tonight and a separate blog entry will be up for that. I will be live blogging the major events as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest news!

The Esteemed Lifeguard SueGee has put together the blog pool -- check it out to find your castaway!

Vesi Tribe (Red)
Cody       Cheryl in NC, ChicMc
Justine    Sharon C, Andi
Nneka     Sharon N, Bizaro22
Noelle     MikesGirl, Tammy
Jesse       AprilW, Donna in AL
Dwight    Petals, Skyriverblue,

Coco Tribe (Blue)
Lindsay     David, Marthalight,
Cassidy     Cherrypie, Kelsey NY,
Geo        Jasonuwp, Dr Celine
Karla       Glenn Allen, monty924
James     DonnaNY, Krysta Gibson
Ryan       John Cantrell, Jackie

Baka Tribe (Yellow)
Gabler     Donna in FL, Joanne Victoria
Owen    Mike Barer, SueGee
Sami      Brenda, Indiana Jane
Elie         Nickelpeed, Nora M
Jeanine     Laura, Auntie Leigh

Voted Out
Morriah - Her torch was snuffed without being assigned.

Survivor fans ready? I have to check my blog pool pick Ryan out. Is he a cutie-patootie?

Baka returns from Tribal. Owen thanks them for keeping him. It worries him that there was a vote for him already in the game. Gabler wants them to take better care of their bodies.

It was a dark and stormy night. And there were bats hanging from the trees.

Sami on Baka says it was the scariest night he ever had. They were not prepared for the storm that came through overnight. Owen is worried that Gabler, a big guy, is running out of steam. Uh-oh, could Gabler be their next target? Gabler knows that the more he loafs around the bigger liability he becomes.

On Vesi, it seems that Dwight and Jesse are creating a bond. Dwight tells us he's always been able to get along with people. He thinks he has built bonds with everyone except Cody -- remember, Cody is the one I called a snake oil salesman last week. Jesse thinks Cody is fun. Um, okay.

Jesse is having a hard time bonding with Justine. Hmm ... she worries about her nails being disgusting. I think I would have a rough time adjusting to her on an island as well!

On Coco they are exercising. There is a three girl girls' alliance. They plan on bringing in Ryan. (I guess it won't be girls then.) I found out which one is my blog pick, Ryan. I like him. Good. He's getting along with Geo and we are getting Geo's sad backstory about his family not accepting his being gay.

On Vesi, Cody is asking Noelle all kinds of questions about her prosthetic leg. We get Cody's backstory which mainly consists of the death of a childhood friend when he was young. He credits that loss with his risk-taking of today.

On Baka, Owen says his friends describe him as a lovable curmudgeon. He's working to keep the curmudgeon aspect on the down low. He gets water while others are looking for a hidden idol. Jeanine and Eli are thinking of bringing in either Sami or Owen into their small alliance. Owen is considered the higher maintenance. It's looking like there will probably be a gender split in alliances -- the guys are suspicious of the women.

Day 5. Oh, a challenge on land and water! Immunity Challenge. Dive into ocean, swim to and get up over cage, retrieve giant snake, drag snake through obstacles, untie snake to retrieve number tiles, combination lock, massive puzzle. Reward gets fishing equipment, second prize smaller fishing kit. Again, the flint will be taken away from the losing tribe. Noelle and Karla sit out.

BAKA wins first Immunity! Coco wins second Immunity! Vesi has to go to Tribal and lose a member.

Noelle, though she sat out, thinks Nneka is the weak link and needs to go. I would guess that Noelle sat out due to the water and her prosthetic leg. Will she have to sit out every ocean challenge? I don't think so.

On Vesi - Cody calls having to cut someone from the tribe heartbreaking. Cody thinks Nneka did poorly but she's an ally of his. He doesn't want her to go. Noelle said she could have done the challenge. Nneka thinks people aren't making eye contact and she is worried that it could be her going out tonight. She hopes Jesse and Cody will be able to help save her.

After losing last week, Baka is thrilled with their win. Now we get Elie's background story. She has dyslexia, a common condition which is often mistaken for mentally weak. She is beside herself at how great she did with the puzzle. Gabler has spear fishing experience but has never used a Hawaiian sling.

Others on Baka are wondering if Gabler's idol has expired. They hope it does. Hmm. Eep ... Jeanine looks through Gabler's bag for the clue that came with the idol. He is safe for THEIR next two Tribal Councils, not just Tribals in general.

On Vesi, Justine thinks they could get Cody out. She thinks she has Jesse in her corner. However, Jesse tells us that she can't be trusted and should be voted out. But he wants to get on the same page as Dwight. He tells Dwight that Justine told him she's really good at lying. He doesn't think Dwight is too receptive to voting out Justine. But Dwight doesn't have a vote due to last week.

Cody goes off looking for an idol. He finds an advantage! Immunity Idol Bracelet. Must persuade others to give a special bead from their bags at Tribal Council. Cody and Dwight have no votes tonight.

Cody is trying to convince people to give him the beads -- it's the only way he can vote. He tells them he's trying to make a hat for Tribal. Everyone is giving him them! Dwight was reluctant but didn't. Noelle has made bracelets with hers. Will he get one from her? They're off to Tribal and we're onto a commercial.

Tribal Council time. As you know, fire represents your life. Jeff asks about whether Cody weaved the palm fronds in his hat. Cody mentions the beads in the hat. Answering a question, Cody hints that Justine is in trouble. There seem to be three pairs. Dwight talks about how he lost his vote last week. Now Jeff is talking trust on the island and why people tell others things. Tribe strength or alliance? What is more important?

Time to vote. Noelle votes Nneka, no surprise there.

After commercials ... to the tally. Cody has his vote.

Justine, Nneka, Cody, Justine, Justine. Goodbye, Justine!

Big Brother: BB24 Live Season Finale Show Blog Party

The Final Three bid us adieu on the live feeds.

Well, this is it. I believe we have a final three no one would have predicted -- Turner, Taylor and Monte. At least no one floated to the finish this season! All three have won at least a couple of big comps.

Tonight's taped segments should include the finish of the hot dog clutching Part One of the HOH comp, the second part of the three-part HOH comp and the Round Table. Although the winners of Part One and Part Two are known by feeds watchers, I ask people not to mention them in the comments until they air on the show.

Live on the show will be Part Three of the HOH comp which will be the winners of Part One and Part Two competing. The winner of that part then will decide the last eviction and we will be at the final two. Then there are the jury questions, and some choose me speeches. And THEN, we will have a winner of the $750,000. After the winner is crowned, we will have the Favorite Houseguest announcement.

The Esteemed Lifeguard SueGee has updated the blog pool and here are our final three:

Monte    - Sally, Willie J, Rodney
Taylor    - CherylNY, Donna in AL, Cherry Pie
Turner (Matt)- Bizaro22, Glenn Allen, Jasonuwp

Jury
Indy
Joseph
Jasmine
Kyle
Terrance
Michael
Alyssa
Brittany

I will be live-blogging, updating this post constantly as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest news. Asa always, the real party is in the comments area -- please feel free to join in on the fun!

Hamster watchers ready? Got your snacks and adult beverages? Let's get this finale ON!

Julie is wearing a simple red dress tonight. Previously on and on. We know this stuff. Bring on the hot dogs! Weinerpalooza!

82 days ... a rather short season, but this past week lasted at least two weeks for me!

Ah, finally Day 79 and the hot dogs! Monte's arms actually fit around his hot dog to the slot on the far side. The other two have to use the hand grips. Turner tells us he gets dizzy easy. Taylor is down at 36 minutes. Monte out at 46.04 minutes.

TURNER wins Part One of the final HOH comp! Julie promises us Dr. Will and the Roundtable.

Part Two - Zipline Veto Stage/HOH Stage. Fill in the comps in the proper order on both billboards. Festival Line Up. They can only take two "signs" across with the zipline each time. Taylor is up first. She got the order right the first time but this is a timed event, too.

Monte's turn. He gets them right the first try, too. Who was the fastest?

Taylor - 7.04, Monte - 6.41

MONTE wins Part Two and will go up against Turner in Part Three.

Turner thinks it's a good thing. In week two, he and Monte made a final two pact. Turner tells him he will take him if he wins. Monte thinks the decision is tough and he would have a better shot at winning against Taylor.

The Round Table -- The jury thinks the smart move would be for Monte to join them, but it is indeed Brttany as they thought it would be. They talk about Turner playing a good game. Michael thinks that Monte is the one who got him out and Turner doesn't own up to things. He is quite anti-Turner. Alyssa and Terrance speak up for him.

Joseph thinks Taylor plays with strategy as opposed to Turner. Jasmine says Taylor's big move was making through being on the block five times. Will wants to know what she did strategically. Kyle says relationships. Michael says she got others to put up her enemies.

Monte -- only on the block once as a pawn. Michael seems quite pro-Monte. Indy says he was one of her closest friends in the house. Brittany thinks he's getting sloppy socially. Terrance thinks he never really connected with him.

Dr. Will is looking so grey. I feel so old.

Time for Part Three of the HOH Comp! Monte and Turner have a divider between them. Jury Fest. How well do you know the jurors. Jury fest video, three statements about the juror. Which statement is false. Eight videos.

1. Indy's Psychic Booth - Both right.
2. Jasmine's Muffin Truck - Both right.
3. Joseph is a security guard - Both right
4. Kyle's Dance Party - Both right.
5. Terrance's Tattoos - Both right.
6. Michael's Carnival Games - Monte right
7. Alyssa's Info Booth - Both wrong
8. Brittany's Meditation Station - Monte right

MONTE wins the Final HOH!
To the living room --

Turner - Final two, loyalty, love you, your decision

Taylor - World and moon if you take me to final two. Easy win for you to take me.

Monte chooses to evict ... TURNER. He goes out graciously. He tells Julie he is shocked, not mad. He would have taken Monte to the final two. He is very good with Julie.

Jury question time! Turner joins them. Michael and Terrance correctly guessed it would be him. Three total questions for each finalist.

Kyle - Monte - other than using Michael veto, what was your pivotal move to final two? He says evicting Turner.

Michael - Taylor - You were big target, did you adapt your game to get this far? Being who I am and played how I wanted to.

Joseph - Monte - Biggest blunder? Didn't stay true to himself in protecting Michael and Brittany.

Jasmine - Taylor - Move you orchestrated? Alliance with Michael/Brittany, joined Leftovers, protected girls the best she could.

Brittany - Monte - Where did you take a risk in the game? Make sure Nichole and Daniel didn't use veto and risked being evicted the next week.

Indy - Taylor - On the block weak game play? Resilient, blockbuster.

Turner - Monte - Biggest move was breaking our final two. Why should you get my vote? Heard you and Kyle had a final two after Dyre Fest.

The speeches --

Monte - Beautiful members of the jury. Played a strong competitive game, lists his wins and alliances. No false promises. Only touched the block twice, only one time on eviction night. Instrumental in getting two top competitors out -- Michael and Turner.

Taylor -  Likes Monte's speech. Won three comps, two of them HOHs. Sat on the block six times on eviction night. Continued to fight as a woman does. Called names, attempted all white alliance formed. I am not a shield, I am a thorn. Resiliency! Challenging you what kind of winner you want this year!

Time to vote:
Indy - One of my favorite people
Jasmine - Voting for person carrying on what I should have
Joseph - Love you both, voting for the sword of the season
Kyle - Both deserving, voting to rep the season.
Terrance - Love you both
Michael - Strongest player
Alyssa - Take our power back
Brittany - Love you both
Turner - Just made up my mind

Time for the early non-jury evictees to show up Joseph was asked about Dyre Fest, says he did everything he could to protect Taylor and Brittany. Onto profession lies. Michael is a criminal defense attorney. Joseph admits he's the second lawyer. Ameerah talks of the Monte/Taylor showmance. Taylor says he's a close friend. Monte agrees and pleads the fifth. Alyssa and Kyle ... he hopes it will work out. Pooch - you volunteered to go home, Pooch yourself new BB lingo.

Who ate Jasmine's muffin? Turner 'fesses up and says he ate it in the Diary Room.

Time to reveal the votes:

Turner - Monte
Brittany - Taylor
Alyssa - Taylor
Michael - Taylor
Terrance - Taylor

Big Brother: BB24 Special Friday Final Three Episode Blog Party - Sept. 23

This should be a clips show with memories of hamsters past. I probably won't be as intensively live blogging it as I do with most episodes. I'm thinking they will probably also have the start of the (taped) first part of the final HOH. Although many know the winner of that from the live feeds (and even Part Two), please don't post spoilers in the comments area as this is a show post.

As always, the real party is indeed in the comments area. Please feel free to join the party!

Previously On segment starts with the final four and Taylor winning HOH, Monte winning veto. At least they don't have us previously on going to the beginning of the season.

Yes, it is clips ... looks like we will see some funny ones, as well as the start of Part One of the Final HOH.

Monte tells us he thinks that both Taylor and Turner will take him to the final two. The final three have their champagne and a feast. Three leftovers with surf and turf.

Onto a Jasmine segment -- having people wait on her. And being fussy about it. She tells us her husband waits on her all the time. This reminds me how annoying she was. Although the Muffin Mystery was definitely a highlight of the season!

Into Alyssa not knowing capitols or geography on the whole. "What is New England? A state?" Unbelievable!

Daniel now. Bad memories for sure!

Terrance time. I refuse to call him DJ Showtime. He's definitely a Terrance. He likes to stuff Daniel puts in his weird hair and is buddy-buddy with Daniel. Oh, geez.

Turner said Pooch started the rumor he doesn't shower. He claims he showers every other day. Taylor says it's too little. Michael talks about all his dirty clothes lying about.

Now they're talking Dyre Fest. Turner says it was horrible. PortaPotties, heat, bugs.

Indy segment now. She tells the others her background as an immigrant here, her hopes and dreams. Joseph recognizes the hardships she had to go through as he himself is the child of immigrants.

Shout-out time for the Diary Room now.

The Problem With Kyle week is remembered now. The segment shows Terrance in perhaps the best light he was in all season -- compassionate and understanding. We would expect it from Taylor and she was understanding as well.

Now they are talking about a fake hamster named Peter who is dying from various causes while in the house. This is funny.

Joseph's segment. I find this a bit bittersweet because he seemed so crushed by hearing Monte hooked up with Taylor. He's after bugs in the segment.

Into asking things of the Diary Room.

Finally to the start of Part One of the Final HOH Comp ... the rest of it, as well as Part Two (also taped) and Part Three (live) will be shown in the finale on Sunday.

Big Brother: BB24 Live Feeds, We have a final HOH Part Two Winner - Sept. 23

The feeds have returned!

The problem is ... they are not talking about it. Taylor and Turner went off to nap in their respective beds, not saying anything to each other. Monte went off to cook some eggs. When the three were together, they just talked about being tired, whether there was champagne left, something about getting blankets and Monte asked if anyone wanted eggs.

I believe Monty won against Taylor in Part Two. The only indication is that when he walked in a room alone he gave prayer hands, then a victory fist. Taylor, on the other hand, seems quite subdued. They just called her to the Diary Room.

I will update this post when I get confirmation that Monte won or something that refutes it.

UPDATE: Confirmed Monte win. Taylor finally talked to a camera, telling us she lost by about 20 seconds. I don't know what the comp was.

Big Brother: BB24 Live Feeds Report, Final HOH Part 1 Winner - Sept. 23

Uses others to do his dirty work

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Down to the Wire:

  • This won't be a long report.
  • After all, it hasn't been a long time since last night's eviction of Brittany.
  • I do not miss her talking.
  • They had the first part of the final HOH comp -- the feeds were blocked, of course.
  • Turner won it.
  • You heard me. Turner is the winner of Part One, something about spinning and hot dogs from what I gather.
  • That would mean that Part Two has Monte going against Taylor.
  • The winner of Part Two goes up against Turner in Sunday's live finale show.
  • The winner of the third part of the HOH comp then chooses who will go with him or her to the final two and who is out in third place.
  • They expect the second part to happen today.
  • It could very well be going on right now as I write this up since we have had adoptable animals for quite a while.
  • I will let you know when I know.
  • Also expected, I'm thinking tonight, is the Roundtable.
  • We will not see that.

Taylor was not expected to last this long!

Who woulda thunk it? Final Three?

Big Brother: BB24 Live Eviction Final Four to Final Three - Sept. 22

Tonight, Monte has all the power as Veto holder and sole vote. Taylor, as HOH, cannot vote. Turner and Brittany are on the block. One thing we do know about Monte is that he will do what he thinks is best for his own game. Will that be keeping Turner ... or Brittany? Who would bring him to the final two if he's third in the three-round final HOH comp? Production kept the veto meeting for tonight's show just to make us and them suffer!

Before we get into the show, Lifeguard SueGee has updated the blog pool:

Brittany    - Judi Sweeney, MikesGirl, Tilde, YoDave
Monte    - Sally, Willie J, Rodney
Taylor    - CherylNY, Donna in AL, Cherry Pie
Turner (Matt)- Bizaro22, Glenn Allen, Jasonuwp

Also in blog pool stuff -- Since we are skipping the first boots, the Survivor and The Amazing Race blog pools are both still open for sign-up until Friday -- TOMORROW. But don't wait! The Survivor blog pool sign-up is this here linkThe Amazing Race blog pool sign-up is this link.

I will be live blogging the show, updating this post with the major happenings as the show airs here on the East Coast. Refresh the page to get the latest news! As always, the real party is in the comments section. I hope to see you there!

I don't know ... Julie's dress has too many abrupt angles for me! We're into Previously On and we know all that!

But first ... is the honeymoon over for BB's latest power couple? Once again Monte reminds us that it's his decision who to take to the final three. Turner knows Monte is sleeping upstairs with Taylor. He thinks Monte will take him to the final three, but they would take each other (Monte/Taylor) to the final two.

Monte is a bit ticked about something Taylor said about him not seeing his goddaughter. Taylor wants Brittany to feel comfortable coming by the HOH room. They are buddy-buddy. Turner wants to know if he is still final two with Monte or not. Monte admits he was physically intimate with Taylor to him. Monte thinks that Taylor is on a power trip. That's good for Turner.

Monte talks to Taylor while she's in the bath. He tells her that she was condescending to him and then, by taking off the headphones he had on, was rude. She apologizes. He tells her that she was rude and cold. He says he has a low tolerance for disrespect.

So, they're over. Really? Hmm.

Jury house segment. Terrance arrives. He tells them it's a double and Michael arrives. They are shocked. Terrance gives Monte the credit for getting Michael out. Then Alyssa arrives. The jury seems most impressed with Monte. Alyssa told them Taylor was sleeping in Monte's HOH room. Joseph looked crushed at that news.

A taped segment has them gathering in the living room. They each get videos from loved ones. Taylor's mother and grandmother. Monte's father. Turner's mother and girlfriend Megan. Brittany's husband.

Brittany is trying her mojo on Monte. She tries to make him think that she would be better for his game than Turner. She thinks that she and Turner are about the same (good) at mental comps, but he is better physically than she is. Monte's DR bit makes it sound like he's seriously thinking of taking Brittany ... so he probably isn't!

To the living room for the veto meeting.

Brittany - Love to shout-outs. Opportunity to make game changing move by evicting Turner.

Turner - Shout-outs. I would be bamboozled if you think Brittany is better for your game.

Monte votes to evict ... Brittany.

She handles it well. She tells Julie she would have crushed it against Monte at the end. (Yeah, right.) Julie asks how she feels about Michael as she will be seeing him in jury. She says she would love to be friends but has a lot of questions for him.

Julie has the three gather together in the living room. Julie tells them the live season finale is Sunday, three days away.

The talk with the Cookout alliance from last year is next.

And, there they are. Julie mentions their loyalty to each other and ask them about the alliances they saw this year. They seem to want to see a Taylor/Turner final two.

The Favorite Houseguest will get $50,000 this year and there's more. Winner also receives a cruise for two (promo for The Real Love Boat series). Go to cbs.com/bbvote to vote.

Friday at 8PM ET/PT, special show. Finale two-hours on Sunday night.

The Amazing Race: TAR34 Season Premiere Blog Party

Good evening! Welcome to the blog party for the season premiere of The Amazing Race 34! In promos, they're showing the racers starting off in Munich, Germany. That's first -- starting out somewhere outside the United States. They still have Covid protocols and the private jet (or airplane, whatever). So, that means every leg will be a bit of a bunching point. The promos also have it that there will be NO non-philimination legs this season. I think I saw something about U-Turns being gone, as well.

Since we are skipping the first boots, the Survivor and The Amazing Race blog pools are both still open for sign-up until Friday. But don't wait! The Survivor blog pool sign-up is this here linkThe Amazing Race blog pool sign-up is this link.

I will be live-blogging tonight's show the best I can. I can't promise perfection, mind you. I am not all that familiar with the cast and won't really know them for a few weeks. But I should get all the major happenings down. Refresh the page to get the latest update. As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

Race watchers ready? Let's GO!

Yep, in Munich. We get brief team intros as they are aboard a huge raft ride. I admit I already have a bias towards favoring Derek and Claire because I liked them both on BB. More intros after they are on solid ground. Phil tells them they can complete the challenges in any order -- it's a Scramble and that there will be no non-elimination legs.

On their luggages, three addresses, they can choose the order, when all three challenges complete, they will know where to meet Phil at the Pit Stop. Roll, Saw and Smash are the challenges. All Oktoberfest related.

Scramble has them scrambling! Derek and Claire take off in their car first.

It's going to take me some time to get used to these teams. The Military Brother team chose Roll and they have to roll a keg through an obstacle course. The Motivational Speaker couple have Saw, they have to saw a log with musical accompaniment. Aubrey and her partner are dancers. Derek/Claire go through Roll quickly.

The Military Bros are headed to Smash while Derek and Claire head to Saw. Several couples are at Smash. They have to smash a huge ice block to get at a clue inside it. Not only do I not know these teams, they're at all three different tasks! I cannot keep up with this!

Emily and Molly (Twins) are at a clue box selecting Route Info. Hmm.

Phil showed several teams have completed two tasks, others only one. Apparently no one has done all three. Until NOW, that is! Derek and Claire! They have figured out the clue is an angel! They are on the way to the Pit Stop!

Pit Stop order:

1. Derek and Claire! Won $2,500 each!
2. Glenda and Lumumba (tall and short couple)
3. Quinton and Mattie (NFL cheer)
4. Linton and Shark
5. Marcus and Michael
6. Rex and partner
7. Luis and Michelle???
CONFUSED ME!
11. Aubrey and David
12. Aastha and Nina - Eliminated

I have to study these teams. I swear I'm losing my mind!

Survivor 43: Season Premiere Blog Party

Good evening! Here we are, after more than twenty years (yikes) to Season 43. I'm glad that they're using season numbers now. I guess it's due to the more or less forever home in Fiji. But still ... the numbers are easier on me!

Jeff Probst has already let us know that it's once again a shortened season for the castaways themselves. I believe they are still making them quarantine ahead of the filming for Covid reasons. Thankfully, the rather failed twist of hourglass smashing will be gone. Only those castaways who used it liked it -- not the show fans, nor the other castaways.

Tonight's show will be two hours followed by the season premiere of The Amazing Race 34. I will be live-blogging both shows. So, once Survivor ends, head to the next post which should magically appear a few minutes before TAR starts. No BB24 tonight!

Since we are skipping the first boots, the Survivor and The Amazing Race blog pools are both still open for sign-up until Friday. But don't wait! The Survivor blog pool sign-up is this here link. The Amazing Race blog pool sign-up is this link.

We get briefs on the castaways as they boat into the Fijian Islands. One woman is indeed there to make friends ... and win. Oh my gosh, it IS the COCO tribe, not KOKA (or however I was spelling it). At least one castaway hadn't even been born before the first season -- Borneo -- aired.

Jeff greets the three tribe groups - Coco, Baka, Vesi. We get more introduction to some of them as Jeff asks his Probsting questions. What exactly is Survivor? A game. An adventure. Red - Vesi, Blue - Coco, Yellow - Baka.

It's a Reward challenge to get the pot, machete and flint. The two losing teams do not get flint. Have to race to get two heavy wooden crates, bring them back. then retrieve one from the water, pull the boat with it back to the shore. Then bring those crates in. Puzzle with the crates to build cube to stand on and retrieve the flint from above.

VESI wins Reward!

The tribes are off to their respective campsites. No one on the Reward winning tribe knows how to build a shelter, nor even how to use a machete. They will learn!

On Baka, the oldest person -- Mike is a bit worried. Message from Jeff - Savvy or Sweat. To earn supplies. Four hours to complete either task. Flip over the timer, the challenge has started. Two members have to do the task. They choose Savvy. Move two bones to form the largest whole number. You can only move two bones at one time. Hmm.

The Coco tribe chooses Sweat which has them digging for their supplies. Ryan ends up digging it up within a half-hour. We get his cerebral palsy background. On Baka, Sami solves the puzzle. He is telling people he is 22, not 19.

On Vesi they are already trying to get alliances going. To me, just in observation, Cody is coming across as a snake oil salesman type. He might sell elevators in real life, but snake oil on the island. Jesse seems popular with two different groups.

On Baka they are trying to build a shelter. Owen thinks no one seems to be scheming, all are working hard and guarded. We get Elie's sad sister passing away background. Jeanine and Morriah hug her and the three form a bond.

On Coco, it appears the genders are also bonding into groups. Lindsay and Carla want to work with James.

Over on Baka, Sami might be making a mistake and putting a target on his back for the merge -- he solved the puzzle and now has made fire. Mike, at 51, feels he is not doing well. Okay, Elie and Mike have a heavy metal music love.

On Coco LGBTQ folks Geo and Karla have a rather built-in bond. They already trust each other. They also have Ryan with them. Karla is also in another group and is surprised that she seems to be so in with the others.

On Vesi, we get the gang background on Jesse. He's telling the others about tattoos he has had removed. He tells us that he went to juvie, passed the GED with the highest score they had ever seen and is now a PHD student. Justine thinks she can build a fire, but nope.

A boat shows up on Vesi. A commercial shows up for us!

A boat arrives for each tribe, separate boats of course. They each get a note. One person must get on the boat, return in the afternoon.

Karla goes for Coco. Mike (Gabler) goes for Baka and Dwight for Vesi. A hike to a giant rock, get to know each other. We get Karla's educational background of firsts. Risk or not Risk, like in previous season. Choose secretly to risk or not risk vote. One has an advantage, the rest lose their vote. Karla did not risk, the other two did. Dwight and Gabler have to draw for the win. They can't open until back at their camps.

Vesi still hasn't made fire even with the flint they earned. Justine finally did it! Woot! Dwight tells them about the island trip. He told them he doesn't know what he got and won't know until later. Cody (snake oil!) tells Jesse he doesn't trust him.

Gabler tells his Baka people roughly the same thing. He opens his risk and WON. He lets his tribe know. He technically has an idol. Dwight opens his and now they know Gabler has an idol.

Time for the Immunity Challenge! Race squirming through mud, over obstacles collecting three balls, one person from each dig under log, climb up almost vertical wall to balance beam to finish. First tribe picks what table game, the others then choose. First two tribes safe. Last tribe loses flint and goes to Tribal.

Coco chooses the table maze first. Vesi chooses the straight shot game. Baka has the obstacle game.

COCO wins Immunity! VESI wins Immunity! Baka will lose their flint and someone will go home.

Gabler thinks because he (and Sami) did the game, he will be a target. He plans on taking his shot in the dark instead of playing his idol because he feels the loss was at least in part his fault. His tribemates tell him they have no thought of voting him out -- he gets along with everyone and he's a workhorse. The target attention turns to Morriah. Sami tells Morriah that she's safe with him. Morriah thinks that Dwight is a possible target. Elie wants to vote out the weakest. Jeanine doesn't want the women to then be picked off. Sheesh, they're all over the place. It only seems that neither Sami nor Gabler will go home.

Tribal Council time. Jeff asks his questions. Sami says it was all Kumbaya and they are the final six. They feel good about their efforts to win. Will they vote for strength or effort to get to know each other? Now Jeff feels the tension in the tribe.

Time to vote. Gabler does not play his idol.

The vote: Morriah, Owen, Morriah, Morriah, Morriah ... four is enough. The first person voted out is Morriah.

For The Amazing Race, move on to the next blog post!

Big Brother: BB24 Live Feeds into Wednesday Morning - Sept. 21

Sleeping with her true forever love ...
Lay's potato chips!

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Stop Shuffling Cards into Your Mics!:

  • Things have been super boring.
  • They are spending most of their time napping.
  • All of them.
  • But not all together, mind you.
  • If they are not napping, they are playing cards.
  • No noise is more annoying than card shuffling close to a mic.
  • Well, maybe Britney's non-stop talking.
  • About the biggest news is that Taylor and Monte, although broken up, were in bed together once again.
  • Sigh.
  • I guess I'm old-fashioned.
  • But it makes me lose respect for both of them.
  • It's not just them. I tend to lose respect for anyone on BB who crawls in bed together.
  • At least Brittany has been faithful to her husband and Turner faithful to his girlfriend.
  • I realize that both Taylor and Monte are single. But they know this is on the internet and scrutinized by an often rather rabid fan base (especially Twitter BB fans).
  • I certainly wouldn't do it and it surprises me that Taylor is.
  • Sigh.
  • In other "big" news, Brittany decided to tell Taylor the truth about the vote ... that she was the vote to cast her out rather than Turner. She thinks it will get her brownie points or something.
  • I expect them to sleep late and nap a lot today.
  • It's still predicted that Monte will vote Brittany out tomorrow.
  • Remember -- no show tonight as Survivor and The Amazing Race season premieres will take up the primetime television slot.

Cards are boring and shuffling them is annoying!

At least with Brittany chomping on chicken,
Turner doesn't have to listen to her talk.

Cards, napping, cooking and eating.
That's all.
Report done.
